In this thread we post websites about weapons and such. They can be fun, technical, milblogs, whatever. Things you look at. Just link us and explain what it is, if it isn't obvious. If your post doesn't have a kewl www link, it should have a nice image. Otherwise your post is UNCOOL.Example to start:Small Arms Illustratedhttps://thinlineweapons.com/SAI/

Alright, I'll participate. Or try to anyways.I'm not sure about the rest of this site but I found this piece to be helpful when trying to read spec sheets for night vision devices. Still haven't gotten one yet though.https://www.nite-walker.com/post/2019/11/21/specs-for-dummies-101
>>62787306Yeah it's just a linkshare thread. Nothing grandiose. People complain a lot about junk sources used for threads but I can't remember the last time we had a /k/lit thread for stuff other than books. If the Poop Guns guy is your literature, more power 2 u. Likewise with NVG specs.

Not a website per se but the history and war related content in VR is awesome. Compared to a lot of subjects in VR more people are developing and producing these than say major museums who surprisingly don't make great stuff. Some gun specific material too, I forgot what it was called but it was the making of a colt SAA. I watched that a bunch of times.

Question for the two or maybe three of you in the thread: is there a better way to do a future attempt?Maybe a different scope, or some other angle. This one felt pretty dead on arrival.
>>62882868Bumping once for this question.
Just keep making threads until one of them catches on. You have to remember that you're competing with generals, autistic spammers who make the same threads every day for years, and plenty of discord groups. If you want to change something, maybe try and tie in the Do/k/ument and Ar/k/ somehow. I used to seed that for years and would again if there was a new version made.
>>62885634The bulk of the content threads are currently made by me and half a dozen other anons. I made this thread on a lark to see if a low-pressure linkshare thread would draw out some lurkers who still have a pulse but who don't want to make threads.Seems like this place is too ground down by daily pitched pol battles and too ethnically cleansed of effortposters for interactive threads to have a future (other than games). The most reliably tolerable threads are all of the solo blogger variety now. Those of us still posting them are basically just writing public notes and dutifully ignoring the local equivalent of wordpress penis enlargement pingback spam masquerading as reply chains in the comments.
>>62887555off by one errors are but one of man's many tragedies
>be op>post all dem linksFuck it, I'll ride this thread into the ground.Max Popenker has a new side blog.Main focus is russian and soviet guns. It's on the russian version of patreon.Bilingual posts (english + russian).https://boosty.to/russiangunsI haven't spoken to him since the war, but judging from his recent writing, it feels like he has begun to ease off his more idiotic vatnik impulses. His dumb ruspol ideas never compromised his documentarian work on firearms, but they didn't exactly foster the warmest of relations between western and eastern small arms experts. And he has sometimes fallen into the pattern of patching the coverage of his encyclopedia in order of the geopolitical preferences of his audience, not the quality or importance of articles in the queue. He's now writing blogposts with cheeky titles like>NGSW: Some thoughts from behind the Iron Curtainwhich he wouldn't have done in years past. Embracing the new doom, perhaps.
>>62894857Honestly this thread probably should have died like a week and half ago (probably more two and a half weeks ago really) but fuck it I found a site to add to the thread.https://www.ozatwar.com/

Nice.I was actually thinking that a thread aimed at getting anons to pimp their local resources might be my own answer to "what will draw the lurkers out?" A lot of anons say they appreciate posts about various things but they don't post themselves because they don't know about militaries other than their own.
>>62887555I don't usually post in these threads.I archive anything interesting and pay to keep some of the download links working.
