The bullpup concept is fundamentally flawed.
Every gun that promises to solve those flaws fails.
The failures don't make it to market.

Not an argument. Every fire arm is flawed.

care to elaborate? I am genuinely interested but you are not arguing
>>
>>62870147
all hes going to say is
>muh trigger (not a thing post-1980)
>muh controls (he doesn't know manual of arms is a learned habit)
>muh length doesn't matter (yet he still cums at the sight of a 10.5" AR)
>muh rail space (he doesn't know that theres LAMs that have both visible & IR lights & lasers built in, instead of 4 separate units)
and maybe something about balance, if even
theres a few other things i'm forgetting, but thats because they're bullshit, and i try not to remember missinfo
>>
>>62870164
>maybe something about balance
That's my favorite because bullpups are an order of magnitude better than conventional rifles in that regard. Shifting weight towards the rear:
>puts less strain on the arms while shouldering, making it easier to aim for long periods
>reduces momentum at the muzzle, allowing for faster target transitions
>provides mechanical advantage for controlling recoil (further improved by the firing hand being closer to the muzzle)

Everyone talks about the barrel-to-OAL ratio, but the weight distribution is an irrefutable benefit that goes mostly overlooked.
>>
>>62871091
i've found it a 50/50 on balance
on the bullpups i've used, they can "feel" heavier than they really are, if their center of balance is directly on or behind the firing hand's grip
imho, i still prefer a rifle with a mostly forward balance, but some bullpups already have that anyway, like a lot of bullpupped shotguns, or rifles with heavy barrels & forward mounted attachments
something about the way it settles in both hands makes it feel very evened out & more controllable that way, less unwieldy, not as tiring on the firing hand
>>
>>62868052
I don't even know if its considered a success but desert tech is on v37xx iteration of the mdrx/wlvrn and its still plagued by issues you have to return it for
>>
>>62871091
This is true. Another benefit is that being rear-heavy makes it more comfortable to mount suppressors and other muzzle devices to bullpups.
I think that the bullpup is a good concept, but we await a god-tier weapons designer to make it really work, AND it has to be in 5.56mm or smaller. 7.62mm bullpups are fundamentally, conceptually flawed.
I think that you could probably make a bunch of modifications to the Tavor TAR-21 (not the x95) and come up with something halfway decent in the end.
>>
>Tavor X95: $1,793.99
>WLVRN: $2,599.00
>Hellion: $1,755.99
>AUG A3: $1,907.99

Have you ever considered that the reason your average joe has only maybe a passing thought about getting a bullpup is because they’re expensive? Why the hell would he get something like that when good ARs exist for under $700 and great ARs for $900- $1K It’s just going to sit in his closet anyways until he goes shooting with his friends maybe once every few months or so.
>>
>>62875810
Nobody pays MSRP. Got me 20" hellion for 1532+25. Aug is available for $1600. Don't care about jew & mormon guns so I didn't look those up.
>>
>>62868052
Because they have more R&D costs and lower margins than just slapping a label on another AR15. You could say the same thing about new durable good.

If you need more evidence, just look at the rest of all of the Black Rain Ordnance product line, it's all AR-15, 10/22, and bolt-action clones. US companies are extremely risk averse in the modern era.

I’m not mad at you, I know you fall under the half of Americans who can’t read well past a 6th grade level.
Even at the $200 discount you got lucky with, it’s still like $1K more for an AR.

Because bullpups inherently suck.
>bro we got a longer barrel!
Cool so it's better at long range, right?
>NO! the harmonics are fucked, it can't be freefloated, also it's a pain to brace it off objects for a long range shot, and we don't even need to say the trigger sucks you already know
oh ok but the shorter OAL means it's good for CQB right?
>NO! Can't swap shoulders in the moment, awkward to reload, and overall clunky and less convenient to use, lack of railspace also makes it suffer

So it's worse than traditional rifles at everything.

Bullpup fans will kick and scream and shout that this isn't true, the trigger's fine, the accuracy doesn't need to be good, waaah wah. They're wrong, and everyone knows it. That's why nobody likes bullpups. That's why countries that adopt bullpups adopt traditional rifles afterwards. That's why new bullpups don't get adopted. They are inherently terrible guns nobody wants to use, and will never be fixed.

unironically where did this meme come from? also milspec bullpups are no less accurate than most milspec traditional rifles. niggers keep forgetting that most rifles used to militaries have a standard accuracy of between 2-4 moa(yes this includes the m4 and muh hk416)

>unironically where did this meme come from?
it comes from the fact that most bullpups will eject into your face if you swap shoulders

>>62879303
pretty sure he meant to say 1k more THAN an AR
>>
>>62879636
plenty of port covers for bullpups that make it so they don't eject in your face. also don't see how that prevents you from swapping shoulders. its doable, but annoying
