How do you feel, pilots, knowing you are soon going to be replaced?
>>
We've already been Iranian drones won't lose against Israel's F-15s Trump's support for Netanyahu will fail just like Biden's decade-long Orange Revolution in Ukraine from 2014 to 2024 and then white male Gavin Newsom will bring a thousand year reich alongside his best buddies Trudeau and Macron
>>
They already have. I remember a post that had someone complaining that they signed up for the airforce to fly f-15s and now they are just sitting in some pod in the desert flying a drone.

Pilots might get replaced in front line roles, but they still want a button pusher nearby to give the final say before killing something. That will likely still be a pilot nearby for the foreseeable future.

Macross Plus aged gracefully for a 30 years old show

I gotta say, naming them "Martyr" like suicide bomber soldiers is peak comedy,

One side with more moral flexibility will gain an advantage first by allowing AI to make quicker decisions. Then the other side will be forced to do the same to stay competitive.

Removing human from wars will have disastrous cause. Humans causes atrocities but at least their morals can limit them at a certain level. This remove the remaining emotions of battle.
>>
>>62879674
How is that worse than today when a missile seeker hones into its pre-programmed target? Using AI is just a more sophisticated way to pre-program a target.
>>
>>62879662
Ai is trash at general decision makijg.
Retard
>>
>>62879710
You are right generally, in that AI cannot make all decisions out there. However, the decisions needed to make to guide a munition, or control a drone/aircraft is a must more discreet problem to solve and train for. Just look at current videos of Tesla FSD out there driving. Navigating the US road network safely is probably more complex than having a drone drop a bomb somewhere.
>>
>>62879686
Because that preprogrammed target was still programmed by a person.

Removing a human decision maker from the kill chain is unlikely.
>>
>>62879807
It's not going to be anyone's choice. If it gives a tactical advantage, it will be adopted eventually.
>>
>>62879816
It's not happening anytime soon regardless. Maybe in 20 years.
>>
A single human will have a squadron of drones that can go inside the final 100-200 mile range for drive through attack.
>>
>>62879468
Is this like how they spent a decade trying to convince us that truck driver is a dead job and then quietly admitted that is still decades away?

it ain't happening. what's worse is that you wont have human wingmen, they'll all be drones controlled from your plane.

Will they have the AIs still bantering?
>>
>>62883555
Not all drones are AI controlled, some are controlled by humans with a controller. Most of them are.
I read some can even switch between both type of controls.
>>
>>62879558
That’s so retarded I don’t even know where to begin.
>>
>drone plane
>plane
bah, ai controlled missiles are the future. fire one off in the air and it'll do its thing without input from the user.
>>
>>62883941
What if we have an AI drone jet fighter which shoot AI controlled missiles?

I'm SO not looking forward to yet another "the galaxy is long-term fucked because some retards thought giving WMDs to AI was a good idea" situation.

Pilots are gay

>>62884252
Only about five percent of pilots are gay.
>>
>>62884310
Not true. I know 2 Blackhawk pilots that are gay—that’s 100% of the pilots that I know.
>>
>>62879735
Yes, but it's a far higher hazard dropping a bomb on a target.
Ergo, the risk gets worse, and that makes them not so reliable anymore.
>>62879468
It's big gay, but could be based if war becomes an exercise in RV VR warfare.
>Imagine how frequently we could get into battles if it's just fleets of light vehicles with autocannons, being piloted by soldiers chilling kilometers away.
>No more dying in most of warfare.
>>
>>62879468
There are no pilots here. Who are you talking too, schizo?

Indifferent, knowing that the entire airforce top brass are pilots themselves
