Disagree? you're wrong
>>62880623Now that’s a gun
>>62880623Pure sex. The CETME with the wood furniture just takes it up to another level though
I agree, still love me m14 though.
>>62880653based and woodpilled
>>62880661If there's one thing I loved about the recent hunger games spinoff movie it's that they decided to make the capitol's standard issue rifle a wood pattern G3 variant. Pure kino. Any other movies where it crops up?
>heavy>no rails>full power round You're retarded.
>>62880623AKM mogs it unfortunately
>>62880623Wrong image
>>62880732It’s under 10lbs, most tacticool AKs are over that >no railsJust TIG weld a rail to the top or put on railed hand guard or a scope clamp I welded a rail to mine >full power round Yeah, I’m thinking based
>>62880661the cetme has a polymer pistol grip tho
>>62880743In what areas does it mog the G3 in?t. insecure AKM owner>>62880732>full power round is a bad thing, actuallyqueer
>>62880732>full power roundTechnically 7.62 NATO is intermediate. Or it was when it was first developed.
>>62880921NATO ought to have .280 from the get go. Fucking Americans screwed that up,but being right doesn't get them blowjobs.
>>62880623THIS GUN IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT EVER MADE. I HAD TO CARRY THIS BASTARD GUN FOR 1 YEAR DURING MY SERVICE IN THE TURKISH ARMY. IT WEIGHTS 4.3 KILOS AND 5 WHEN LOADED. IT HAS TERRIBLE RECOIL AND ALMOST DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER WHEN SHOOTING. IT ALSO CONSTANTLY JAMS IN RUGGED MOUNTANEOUS CONDITIONS WHERE WE FACE PKK RATS. FUCK THIS PEACE OF SHIT, AKM IS MUCH BETTER.
>>62881042You sound like a little bitch
>>62881042>strongest roach army twink
>>62880623It needs the wide handguard, then it's perfect.>>62880965I would have liked that funny 7.92 round they invented for the early CETMEs.
>Implying anything is better than an AROP is a noguns faggot as usual
>>62882191Absolutely true but g3 is pretty good too, definitely nowhere near as good as the AR platform but then again not much is
>>62882191ironically the g3 has cheaper mags than the AR platform
>>62880744>nigger-rigged WWII antiqueThere's a reason just about everyone aligend with the West bought G3s and FALs over this thing.
>>62882218Only because they’re surplus and not new and not in modern use
>>62881042If it's any consolation, I fired one once too and it made me feel like a bitch who cries about stuff and my friends laughed at me because I looked ridiculous shooting it. Im gay.
>>62882233>nigger rigged antiqueYou are a noguns retard. Also the g3 is a hunk of dogshit. Easily the worst post war rifle and it’s not even close. The m1 carbine is a step towards the assault rifle. The g3 (and all “battle” rifles) are a step backwards thanks to the retarded fudds in the ordinance department.
>>62880623
>>62882287lol, fags like the g3
>>62880623Where do I get one that:>doesn't cost an arm and a leg>doesn't jam if I use a certain kind of ammo (brass)>doesn't fail to extract, cycle, and feed if I use the wrong magazine>doesn't have spare mags at 60 dollars per>doesn't have a stiff charging handle that eventually breaks after 10 magazinesI keep hearing about how great these things are online, and I want to believe them, but I cannot replicate the fun in real life. What am I doing wrong?
>>62882396Every complaint here is wrong KekHow did you even come up with this list
>>62882396Implessive. Literally every one of these complaints is retardedly incorrect.
>>62882405Friend bought one from his LGS and it had all these issues, and scared me off from buying one. I think it was a PTR, and it ran him around 700 dollars. It would not cycle the 7.62x51 brass that I had, and had a lot of failures to feed. We tried shooting steel case and had the same issue, and eventually he took the mag out, and it fired, and cycled, just fine. He spent the rest of the day loading each round individually, and when he asked the range officer about these issues, he said that some mags these G3s have are what cause problems, and that mags made by HK don't have this issue. This problem was so common that resorted to mortaring the gun on a table to get it open, and the charging handle broke before the bolt would open again. He ended up selling it and getting an AR-10. Did he get a lemon or are these common issues?
>>62882433I have 3 and have never had these issues kek I shoot brass and steel both work great, sounds like he had a poorly built century
>>62880623I cannot think of worse ergonomics
>>62882442So it's worth it to spring for the 1600 dollar PTR on PTR's website over the 800 dollar gun on Atlantic?
>>62880774My AR weighs 7lb even
>>62880921>we'll shorten the case and use a different powder>virtually identical performance and recoil to .30-06What a mission accomplished
>>62882455Yeah the AR blows the fuck out the the G3 and every other gun on earth obviously Stoner literally created perfection >>62882453If the one on Atlantic is a century then yes
>>62882433700 is cheap as hell. He either bought a used-up lemon or got a Century CETME on accident.>pic related, CETME re-engineering brilliance at workI haven't had any problems with any of the old surplus magazines I've been using with mine, they tend to be reliable as long as they're not bent to shit.
>>62882463>created perfection He was close to creating perfection, but perfection wouldn’t shit where it eats. I r8 9.5/10
>>62882475Just get a piston driven one if you feel that way, or an ar18, which is what dozens of other guns like the SCAR etc are based on Stoner supremacy
>>62882473That’s century fucking up not a fault of the CETME at all, the CETME and G3 share their designDon’t buy a century unless it’s just imported by them
>>62882491Fuck, I meant to say Century brilliance. Maybe I was the real ape with an angle grinder all along.
>>62880623>rhodesia replaced their FAL with G3>rhodesia lost the warCoincidence? I think not
>>62882498I figured you meant that just making sure so people don’t think CETMEs are bad Century really tarnished their reputation
>>62882508They didn't replace anything. They used both at once because they were poorfags and needed everything they could get their hands on due to the sanctions.
>>62880732MANLET ASS BITCH
>>62880732>full power roundHow is this bad again?
This is objectively the best modern infantry rifle. It's the basic bitch answer, yes, but anything else is incorrect.
>>62880623I've been out of ptr since 2019. They're good to go again or get a century ca-3 ?My crypto is mooning. Need to buy something with my gains besides pot I won't use.
>>62882475>close to creating perfection, but perfection wouldn’t shit where it eatsTo get the immense amount of benefits from an internal piston mechanism, you have to put up with one single fairly minor inconvenience. It's VERY worth it
Mine became straight action and I don't know why
That was my issued rifle during my compulsory duty. Powerful and accurate machine but it needs to be kept clean at all times. Otherwise, it won't operate. imo, it is way too fragile for military purposes.
>>62880623the roller lock design was made during WW2 not afteryou are both gay and wrong
>>62882462lol True, if it was up to me id just mass adopt a 6.5 and call it a day.
>>62882854>full power round>How is this bad again?
>>62882433>break in round count>Nato Ball
>>62881375CETME and tinned seafood turned me into a Spanish muh heritage fag.
>>62882433I had a PTR a few years back that was the same way. Tried all kinds of steel and brass ammo and could never get through a mag. I love the idea of the rifle but the one I had sucked. If it worked and I'd kept it I would've eventually splurged for wide handguards, an HK bipod, a Trijicon ACOG, and a Franklin binary.
>>62882433I had a PTR with the plastic lower circa 2014, it was absolute shit, apparently PTR was sending rifles out with out-of-spec mag catches, I have a CA3 now it's been great
>>62880921>Technically 7.62 NATO is intermediateBy the same technicality M2 30-06 was intermediate.>>62880965Nah, 280 was also a mistake. It had the trajectory of a golf ball in an age before ubiquitous optics. It's also a fat stubby cartridge, which isn't space-efficient in box magazines, better suited to linked belts.
>>62880623The only downside is it's led to people making shit like picrel
>>62880732ok nogunz
>>62888086>>62882854>>62882840>>62880832None of you fucking retards have ever had to do a movement under load and it shows. This was a great gun compared to guns made in the 1950s but it's nuts to call it the best post-WW2 infantry rifle when everyone and their mother uses lightweight intermediate caliber assault rifles these days. You really think a gun with a big solid wood/rubber stock, no fucking rails, and a big heavy 7.62 round is better than something the average soldier can carry twice as much ammo with, fold up or expand depending on need, and throw a thermal sight or laser on? Really? You really want to hump this thing instead of an M4? >inb4 NGSWIt's still lighter, more modular, and smaller than this fucking thing. The round it fires was specifically designed to be lighter than 7.62, to boot.
>>62888124>>62888086
>>628870096.5G yeah, sneedmore not so much(although I love my ar10 in 6.5c).Sneedmore burns barrels way, way, wayyyyyy faster than 308(2k rounds vs 8-12k depending on barrel thickness for 308). Hell my tikka t3 light in 308 with a pencil barrel didn't start opening groups till around 7k rounds and at 8k rounds it became a 1.5moa gun if I did my part. From a MIC/Logistics standpoint, it's only feasible in a bolt platform, and at that point you have way better options with around the same barrel life or slightly below(300wm,7mm prc,300prc,etc).>>62888031>we have PSG-1 at home
Small arms literally do not matter in the slightest. Infantry die to artillery/aircraft/vehicles they can't scratch 95% of the time.
>>62880623>mfw I might be able to get my hands on a Danish M/75 version
>>62888031oh shit its jaranon
Would you go to Africa and illegally buy a G3 for $100 or join an anti poacher unit, have one provided for free, and smoke poachers all day long?
>>62893089If you think about it, slotting poachers is kinda like legalized human hunting. I'd pick that one.
>>62880623My CETME worked flawlessly and I hated it every second until I sold it.
