Why did Nasa stop funding HARP project? They could send projectiles to the ionosphere, imagine what applications this could have if they kept funding it : drones shooting at satellites, intercepting satellite data..

>in 4 it was too expensive
They are about to send humans on the moon again, i think they could have used some of that budget to build a big gun hidden in a mountain

shoot once and everyone knows where it is. earth has to rotate into position to fire
less payload than rockets

the future is harp guns shooting from one side of the planet to the other, in an infinite proxy war

>shoot once and everyone knows where it is
They still wont have the capacities to reach it, assuming its protected by AD systems and can be hidden by an elevator under 6 geological layers

>earth has to rotate into position to fire less payload than rockets
Its potentially less expensive than rockets

2 hard 2 make rockets gun proof

also what can survive a rocket launch is more broad than what can survive a gun launch.

with reusable rockets, it's probably not much cheaper to use it for cargo delivery.

it'd be better for bombardment duties with guided projectiles.

I think that's absolutely amazing
