unchanged analysis
80.38% of ISS 'themilitarybalance' estimates of 25609 Russian towed and self propelled artillery and mortars, active and reserve Feb 2022 are destroyed approximately 5,023 remain. Also many remaining Russian guns in depots have had their barrels removed to be used as replacements for worn barrels. Russia's chronic vehicle shortage now has a companion chronic artillery shortage, this will begin to leave compromising levels of reduced artillery in portions of the Russian front lines commencing in ~1 days at the attrition rate of the last 12 months. Russia can only use air power and FAB bombs to try and fill the gap, or drastically shorten its lines to retain the same level of artillery cover. I expect it to try and use air power, the consequence will be increased air combat and looses of Russian air frames and an escalating artillery crisis in the Russian forces. There will be an increased mix of begging threats and other PR stunts by the Kremlin to try and get a ceasefire as they have lost this war. Russia will no longer be able to mount any mechanized offensive operations or offensive operation with artillery support (basically all) by spring and Russia will be effectively defenseless against its neighbors if they advance onto Russian territory.

Why economic collapse will force Putin to end the war

Most of the claimed videos of hits are on clearly identifiable decoys. But the fact remains that there have only been a grand total of 2 real ones destroyed.

Neither.
Nobody has anything other than very local and very transient superiority in any of those things, which is why this war is conducted the way it is.

Except potentially that "manpower" component, if we assume that's "meat for the meat-wave" kind of manpower. If so then yes, Russia does have consistent superiority.
Skilled manpower? No.

Maybe the Norks will provide a professional army, though.

Replies on public obituaries and other similar evidence. Provides a lower bound.

A trailing lower bound, given the RU MoD didn't even acknowledged the death of pilots from early 2022 until 18 months later.
And those people were somebody, still listed as "missing" for over a year.

The meat soldiers, though? There is a certain perverse incentive at scale for them to remain "missing". Potentially forever, as death bonuses (much like signing bonuses) go parabolic.

There have been many hits on Ukrainian long range MLRS over the past year and a decent share of them could very well have been HIMARS or M270.

And those numbers fail to indicate anything other than potential for localized superiority, given the Ukrainian military's own growth over the same period.

US have been transparent about the weapons sent to Ukraine. There is no reason to believe they wouldn't announce what they were sending, like they've done reliably for the past how ever many decades the US has been involved in Ukraine.
I believe it is far more likely that the Ukrainians prioritize the multi-million dollar HIMARS systems that can effectively save hundreds or thousands of Ukrainian lives over the life of a truck driver.
If it was a real vehicle the driver would be just as dead anyways, but this way you still have a working weapon system to shoot at the Russians invading your fucking country.

Let me explain this to you like you're a child
You post many WEBMs saying "look at all these HIMARS destruction videos", I say "prove they aren't fake", and you say "look at all these HIMARS destruction videos".
You just posted the same thing.
Prove they aren't decoys. That's all you have to do.
>>
>>62884846
>>62884838
>>62884835
To give you context, you're doing this "it looks like" game, and you're clearly doing it intentionally.
You did the same thing when Russia struck a children's hospital in Kherson and you claimed the missiles "looked like" patriot missiles.
Well here's the fucking problem, WE HAVE THE DEBRIS FROM THE MISSILES!
We don't need to speculate, we're not going off of "it looks like", we have actual, physical evidence they were KH-101s.
You have your vodka-fueled perception, squinting through bloodshot eyes in between puffs from a hand rolled cigarette, we have the actual fucking proof.
Prove they weren't decoys and they were real HIMARS systems.
You won't, because you can't, because you're lying.
>>
>>62884846

>>
>>62884835
You know, I didn't even look at the WEBM when you posted it.
Now I just did and HOLY FUCK what is this supposed to prove?!?
If you remove the slick editing, it's a video of an object with a heat signature getting hit by some sort of weapon system.
There is no "crew leaving the vehicle" as you claimed. The video shows, presumably, a vehicle getting hit, and then it's on fire for 2 seconds and the video cuts.
Is this seriously the best you can fucking do?

And how is the opening clip edited together with the later clips proof that it was a fucking HIMARS?
Clip 1 shows two vehicles, and two people walking.
Clip two shows two vehicles.
We do not know for certain that clip 1 and clip 2 are in continuity with each other, they could be completely different vehicles.
I'm sorry but "it looks like" isn't proof.

They are far from the front line. They're too far to be drone teams. They aren't anti-air teams because they don't have the vehicles and equipment. Only people who would keep hiding in forests at that range are long range MLRS teams of Vilkha, Rm-70, Himars, M270.

>air superiority
They don't get close to the front very often, as they get lit up by Ukr AA resources. It's why they lob glide bombs from high altitude/distance from the front.
>Artillery
They went from something like 25:1 to like 5:1. Their early war artillery tubes are mostly smoothbores, and the tubes can't be replaced fast enough. Add to that the accidental smooooking accidents at the open air ammo dumps and destruction by counter-battery HIMARS and MLRS strikes.
>AA
You mean the ones that keep getting shat on my HIMARS/MLRS and drones?

RUF AA is becoming the most scarce equipment on the battlefield.

>They don't get close to the front very often, as they get lit up by Ukr AA resources. It's why they lob glide bombs from high altitude/distance from the front.
They are dropping glide bombs at a higher rate every month. The Russian jets were almost useless for air to ground from April 2022 until March 2023, aside from the rocket pods of the Su-25. Russian jets fly high into the sky to launch glide bombs up to 90 km away because Ukraine does not have much air defense outside of its population centers. The small Ukrainian air force has to do special maneuvers to launch their much more limited number of glide bombs to a distance of 40 km.
https://en.defence-ua.com/weapon_and_tech/ukrainian_air_force_has_for_the_first_time_shown_the_detailed_use_of_jdam_er_and_revealed_its_actual_range-11692.html
>They went from something like 25:1 to like 5:1. Their early war artillery tubes are mostly smoothbores, and the tubes can't be replaced fast enough.
Ukraine has a lot more trouble with lack of barrels and propellant charges. They are supplied shells at a faster rate than they will ever be able to fire. Although Russians fired a lot more shells early in the war they have greater accuracy today due to spotting from drones and using a higher share of laser guided shells.
>RUF AA is becoming the most scarce equipment on the battlefield.
According to Putin, Russia makes more air defense missiles than the rest of the world combined and historically this has been true.
>30k casualties a month isn't something to brag about.
That's the number of new troops signing up per month. The casualties are probably half of that.

2023 was bahkmut. there's no fight for a big city in 2024, pokrovsk, kostiantinivka kramatorsk maybe? but russia wont reach any of those until next year.
>>
>>62888247
Pokrovsk's casualty spike will be much smaller than Bakhmut's because they are spending months widening the front around Pokrovsk before attacking it. Kostiantynivka won't be too troublesome either because the defenders' logistics will be bad after the road from Pokrovsk is cut. No point in attacking Kramatorsk, smart people will attack Pavlohrad to take much more territory.
>>
>>62888247
Avdiivka arguably, though that started in October 2023. There's talk of Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk as well, but that's one of those things where you can tell how badly the Russians are doing that these three are even being mentioned instead of simply overrun or bypassed.
