I just love them and want one bros. Where can I find them and for how much?
>>62884925my brother in Christ you are better off getting an HK SL7.but if you really must have the G43, you're going to need to find collectors and historic auction sites.sometimes simpsonsltd may get them.
>>62884979looks sick, too bad they are going for 2 grand.
>>62884979>you are better off getting a rifle you didn't say you wantedWhy not just reccomend an AR15 to him?
>>62884925why do you love it?
>>62885059Because some of us have balls.
>>62885059OP should just get an AR instead of an ancient overpriced outdated memegun
>>62884925The G43 looks dope as hell, although hard to find, they're out there but as >>62884979 is saying, collectors and auctions sites will have them, Simpsonsltd has one for $4950. Although you might wanna be careful of auctions with there up charges. Another thing is be mindful of is the price, depending on the condition and if the rifle is matching is going to cost you more I got mines from a milisurp collector you needed it gone and I got it "cheap" for the price
>>62884979I had a rifle like this, well the model 770, the hunting rifle looking variant with the same action.Pros:The most accurate semi-auto rifle I've ever owned. The polygonal cold hammer forged barrel is top-tier. It's shoots sub-2MOA with shitty ammo and around 1MOA with the good stuff.Excellent trigger, it's a fairly heavy but crisp single stage with zero take up and very short travel.Extremely smooth and fast action, follow-up shots are lighting fast and the rifle is instantly back on target after each shot.Cons:Optics mounting solutions are a bit questionable.Magazines are borderline impossible to get a hold of, and they're like 300 bucks each. It'll mangle the absolute fuck out of cases. Forget about reloading them. The safety is retarded.Known to slamfire, SKS-style. Never drop the bolt on a live round unless you're pointing the thing down range.Refuses to function with steel case garbage ammo. You can't ease the bolt into battery, you've got to slam it home which is loud as fuck and not a desirable feature on a hunting rifle. The hunting variants have a big flash hider that's brazed/soldered in place so you can't run a can.Shits where it eats, the action gets dirty as fuck after like 20 rounds (still runs reliably despite this). The disassembly procedure is fucking terrible. It takes a shitload of time, requires a bunch of different tools, and there are lots of small parts in the rifle which are easily dropped and lost. Good luck finding replacements if you lose any parts.
>>62885134So in addition to matching numbers, do things like the original sling, original cleaning kit in buttstock, and unmolested markings also increase value by much? And if I find one that doesn't already have a shooter's kit installed, where should I go to get that?
>>62885174Yes somewhat, the sling, cleaning kit especially, and unmolested markings will increase the price, but with most G43s sling and the cleaning kit aren't present only a here and there. For the markings will kinda raise if it's not a mismatch or forced match, but for the stock will depend on it's condition. Shooters kit I don't know well enough, mines already came with one (plus original gas system) but I don't know which maker is it but I did find a thread about them so it should help you https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/warsend-shooters-kit-vs-apfeltor.49926/
>>62885264Thank you anon, this is good info.
>>62884925It's all second hand market for these rifles so auction sites, gun shows, gun stores, etc. are your options. Baseline for a decent shooter seems to be $3k online, collector examples are nearly $5k with legitimate snipers worth far more. You'll need a shooters kit to not damage the rifle as they were over gassed for reliability if you manage to pick one up. Original magazines will run you $200+, repro mags may be questionable. They are not cheap by any means so you'll be saving up for a while. Either buy the books or lurk on forums to learn more about them if you really want to go for a matching, original example. Unfortunately, a lot of these got sanded post war by Bubba as with most late war weapons since they were rougher than most other weapons.>t. Someone who is also saving up for a nice one
>>62885064cause he's a wehraboo.
>>62884979>>62885173>HK SL7>HK 770Based HK appreciatersdo not forget either>SL6 = .223>HK 270 = .22 LR>HK 300 = .22 WMR>HK 630 = .223>HK 940 = .30-06
>>62884979>>62886583I think one of these in .300 Win Mag would be an awesome rifle.
>>62884925Time machine to 2006 and they were for sale on tables at gun shows for hundreds
