Is "hypersonic" the dumbest MIC marketing term?
>missile travels at 1699 m/s
>its just a missile
>missile travels at 1701 m/s
>HOLY SHIT this a HYPERSONIC wunderwaffe absolute GAME CHANGER

Amerifats coping and seething that the poo nation have hypersonics and they don't.

lmao

America has had a hypersonic missile for half a century. It's called the AIM-54.
>>
>>62886545
The United States does NOT possess maneuverable non-ballistic hypersonic weapons.

Yeah but most of us have a penis bigger than a vienne sausage. Can the Chinese say the same?

>Can the Chinese say the same?
I'm sure the chinks have a zillion ways to deflect with insults or humor, just like every other retard out there.

Pretty much, also the reason why the US was behind in hypersonic ballistic missiles is that it actually complied with INF and other nuclear treaties before withdrawing from it, not because of technological or industrial incapability.

LRHW/C-HGB has been in service for a year and it outclasses every other weapon of its type that is currently in service.

I suppose you still have no idea how financial aid towards Israel works, I mean, I can't blame you, I doubt gender studies touch anything other than insisting homosexual manias are not a disease.

The goalpostening has started. Also, they do, from what I remember.
>>
>>62886551
For what purpose though? Our AA has no problem shooting down the wunderwaffen hypersonics and we can actually into SEAD and DEAD so why would we pursue such a goal since were getting munitions on target regardless? hypersonics are a meaningless flex by countries tacitly admitting that they couldnt hope to get munitions on target in any other way and then failing to do so even with those "super" weapons

We did until 1991.
>>
>>62886551
True. All of our hypersonic stuff was NASA, not DoD.
>>
>>62886551
We have stealth aircraft that fill the same niche

This country lost its way when we started making our hypersonic planes pilotless.

It's about the ability to execute evasive and diversionary maneuvers at that speed, which is petty hard to do. There's a difference between something just traveling at hypersonic speeds in a straight line and doing something meaningful at said speed. That's the entirety of the big deal.
It'd make my day if people would bother figuring out what things actually mean, before ignorantly whining about them and showing their own ass. "lol"
