I'm buying this next and no one can stop me

It's your money, right?
Go ahead

Got myself one last year. I work in the trades and can’t carry my normal CCW at work which is a fuckhuge 92fs. I thought about getting a Ruger Lcp instead and figured .38 was a better idea. I’ve put somewhere around 500 rounds through the bitch and you wouldn’t believe how smooth it feels now. But yeah basically I wasn’t gonna spend a ton of money on something that would possibly get covered in bullshit and bashed around on the job. Might upgrade someday but to be painfully honest I’ve spent more than enough on guns over the course of my life. This thing does the job just fine.
>>
>>62889855
Main reason I'm getting one. My job requires me to walk around NEW ORLEANS. Heard more good things about than bad and it's easily concealable and can find one for under $300.
>>
>>62889788
I like the old school detective style grips on it. Might just add an adapter though

It’s heavy for what it is. But unlike most cheap .38s you’ll find today, it has a six shot cylinder. The internals do leave a little to be desired. When I got mine it was gritty as fuck. That being said. The ONLY part of this revolver that makes me question it is the pin that connects the cylinder release to the drum that locks the cylinder up. That being said I haven’t heard of anyone breaking one other than one dude who admitted to smashing on it with a hammer. Out of the rounds through it I have had not a single malfunction. If I’m not slapping the trigger I can print reasonably tight groups with it out to about 10-15m. But yeah back to the job stuff, like most snubbies it just disappears under normal clothes. Get yourself a good belt that can support it’s weight while it’s sitting in the holster though
>>
I could stop you, if I wanted.
>>
>>62889855
I had a lcp and believe it or not the thing was a piece of shit. Tiny as fuck which was nice until you went to go shoot it, shit ass groups unless you really went try hard mode. Failures to extract and eject every couple rounds with every magazine I ever tried. People shit on revolvers, x2 if it’s a cheap one. But I would trust my life to a cheap revolver that’s been vetted at the range over half the subcompact and compact striker fired POS’s on the market today, lcp wasn’t striker fired but you catch my drift.

Why the speedloader? I thought you revolver fags only needed 5 boolets for every situation.
You sound paranoid man, may I recommend you a more sophisticated weapon that holds more ammo like the Luger, invented in 1898?

Good for you, personally I lean more toward the stagger stack .380s these days for deep concealment but I've had good luck with them reliability wise and don't mind spending the extra money for more peace of mind capacity wise

I had a LCP Gen 1 and with a Hogue grip it was almost pleasant to shoot. Some white paint on the front sight blade and I was grouping good enough at 15 yards on a normal sized target. The only issue I had was the takedown pin walking out which I fixed with a Tandemkross aftermarket version. Coupled with a DeSantis pocket holster and it was my every day carry for years until I recently gave to my nephew who works nights at a low level hotel.

The only reason I didn't just buy another one for $200ish is because I wanted an optic on my next pocket rocket. Ended with a G26 Gen5 MOS with a Holosun SCS. Its a belt gun instead of pocket carry but small and light enough I don't mind it on my hip all day.

>shoot unlawful nog with Luger in self defense to avoid being mugged murders and raped in that order or with any other semi auto '''high capacity''' pistol for that matter
>Judge convicts you of committing a H8 crime and throws your ass in prison for 88+ years with no bail or parole
I'd like to avoid that.
>shoot unlawful nog with snubby revolver with a wood grip in self defense to avoid being mugged murders and raped in that order
>judge, jury, and bailiff all clap and press no charges because you didn't use a scary ass-salt weapon and everyone's glad deadbeat repeat criminal nog is dead including his family
>become the town hero and loved among all
I prefer this outcome though I'd greatly prefer the Average American to not have a corn syrup induced brain and the low attention span and critical thinking skills that come with it but we don't live in an ideal world, half the population is fucking stupid.
>>
>>62892784
That will never happen also are you a euro poor with no right to self defense or easy access to arms because you sound like that
>>
>>62889644
You can buy it if you really want, but be warned it is a piece of shit and if you plan to shoot it much you will probably wish you had spent a little more money on a Taurus or something better.

>>

>>
>>62892784
this is just fuddlore directly attributable to massad ayoob who is like one of the first modern grifters but from the era when people bought books and magazines.

it's just really impressive that its been 50 years and the entire gun control apparatus that used to be a threat basically doesn't exist anymore but people still repeat the same fearmongering about double stack magazines from back when they were first invented
>>
>>62889644
I have one and I must confess, it handles like such a piece of shit. I like how it looks, I'm cool with the Colt-style cylinder, I want to like it. But it shoots horribly even at like under 10 feet, and the recoil transfers all the energy into the web of my thumb (assuming it's from how the grip is shaped).
I still have it though, never know if you'll need a burner gun.
>>
>>62893764
Not only that there has probably never been anyone who has ever been convicted or charged for this especially if being charged for self defense is rare here
>>
>>62890387
I always carry at least one reload for any gun I carry, even though I know full well any shooting I get into is going to be over within a couple rounds. The human mind finds security in abundance.
>>62892784
The double stack mag thing is a myth, they're commonplace to the point that people are defending themselves with those every day.
>>62893764
He probably does have a point on the Luger though, you just know some Jew lawyer is going to try and paint you as a Nazi for carrying that around. That's like one of the few big German guns that even normies know about, it's long been cemented in pop culture as the pistol of choice for fanatical SS members even though it was phased out in favor of the P38 since the beginning of the war. I think you might actually stand a greater chance of avoiding such a debacle by carrying a P38, if someone is knowledgeable enough to know that was the actual sidearm of Nazi Germany then they're probably also not easily swayed by such emotional arguments, and they'll probably happen to know it's also Lupin's gun so you could get away with that by just claiming to be a massive weeb.
Comparatively, if I had to defend myself with my Beretta M1934 (made 1942), I don't think anything of the sort would make it into court at all. No one fucking cares about Italy, they're more likely to go "oh hey, that looks like the old M9!"
>>
>>62889644
I was thinking about getting this or the Heritage Roscoe. This has the advantage of an extra bullet but I like the bluing on the roscoe
>>
>>62893737
And they're still more trustworthy than huehuehues.
>>
i hear people like them. i personlly think the DA pull is retarded heavy and hate the OEM grips with the 206. the 200 is fine i guess
>>
>another revolver user thread

>>62889644
I have one and it is quite nice for the price
>>
>>62893764
This. In nearly 20 years of me browsing gun forums and hearing some variation of this, I haven't seen one example of it ever happening. Even just one.

Meanwhile in reality we have lots of documented cases of self defense using the scary, evil AR-15 and nothing bad happening to them.
>>
>>62893841
>He probably does have a point on the Luger though, you just know some Jew lawyer is going to try and paint you as a Nazi for carrying that around
Anon a good shoot is a good shoot. I can spin any gun you use as a negative. Doesn't matter if it's a Luger, a Glock, an AR, grandpappy's Sxs, or a bolt action wood stock durr rifle. The spin is easily dismissed by even the most incompetent of public defenders. You're assuming all SD shootings even go to trial, which they do not.
>>
>>62898705
Stop making good revolvers so fucking expensive then. I can buy multiple decent autoloaders for one good revolver

Source? It's easily in same quality range as the vintage colts.
>>
>>62899439
How does it compare in size and weight to an LCR and model 642? Especially in the pocket

>only modern six round revolver is a kimber

oof. its phillpino shit or bust i guess.
>>
>>62890387
unironically, pistol magazines can be a fucking pain to reload over and over again at the range while revolvers are piss easy, and thats one thing that they're better at
