As long as they're firing proxy-fused ammunition and have a modern optical/radar targeting system. There's a reason a lot of anti-drone solutions moving forward are emphasizing airburst ammo in the 30-50mm range.

There were a handful of armed medical vessels (USS RIXEY etc) for evacuation directly off the beach in a contested environment but they had all male crews (including the Navy Medicine side). Nurses afloat were only on the true hospital ships, which were painted white and totally unarmed. Nurses would very rarely go aboard a regular grey hull, usually just for a couple hours to help the physician deal with some unusual situation.
