would the type 81 make a good first rifle? still legal with trudeaus gun bans

yes rifle is fine

Ammo for indoor range is expensive now though.
>>
>>62900843
Go to a better range. CSC lets you blast all the steel core you want.
>>
>>62900843
IF you arent shooting stinky chinky (aka; blasting trash innawoods), then x39 costs about or nearly as much as .308.
Cheapest non-chink ammo i see is pmc bronze fmj's for $1.20 on sale, $1.30+regular.
>>
>>62900574
Sure, they're good guns. Ideally you want to check it in person though, at least if you are buying any variant other than an LMG. The bent barrel situation is overblown I think, but still something to consider.
>>62900843
If that's a major concern just get a .22. They're still fun to shoot.

Get a 10/22 and learn to shoot first. Your first 4000 rounds will cost a few hundred instead of 4 digits and you'll likely be a terrible shot until you've gone through a few thousand rounds.

>>
>>62900574
Sure. They are threatening to introduce a new list of bans by December 6 but nothing concrete has been released. You'll need to actually go to a gun store given the postie strike, get some ammo while you're there.
>>
>>62901322
>The bent barrel situation is overblown i think
Considering every shipment has had that issue other than LMG's i don't think it is overblown. Really cheesed that TI will just release $1400 rifles with bent barrels to the public like that and redditors will still eat it up.
>>
>>62902291
So are they actually going to do another OIC on the 6th of December or just release another list of naughty guns they don't like similar to what they did with C-21?
>>
>>62900251
They won't wake up for a few hours. We'll need to wait.
>>
>>62902388
>every shipment has had that issue other than LMG's i don't think it is overblown
I didn't mean "overblown" in the sense that it's not a problem, I meant in the sense that as far as I know it's rare, which is why I recommenddd checking in person
>>
>>62902291
>They are threatening to introduce a new list of bans by December 6
"They" as in the Libs, or Poly? I haven't heard anything about plans from the government, just the usual Poly shrieking.
>>62902403
I'd be surprised if they do another OIC, they have been pretty quiet on the gun issue since the C-21 debacle. It's also really unlikely they'd be able to write a new OIC into law before the next election and the CPC would just reverse it on day one.
>>
>>62902434
It's also not a problem.
No barrels were ever bent. The trunnions on a few were rivited in slightly crooked. The sights are still in line with the barrel so it's only a matter of looks.
>>
>>62902457
>I'd be surprised if they do another OIC
Same, they didn't even use an OiC for the handgun ban. Another issue is the fact that they're currently trying to work on the retailer confiscation; banning another huge pile of guns will only further complicate their plans by massively increasing the scope of the confiscation while pissing off the retailers who they want to have cooperate with them for PR purposes.
>>
>>62902457
Minister of Safety mentioned it:

https://montreal.ctvnews.ca/montreal-wants-assault-weapons-banned-before-buy-back-program-starts-1.7115776

> Canada’s Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc previously promised a wider ban by Dec. 6.

He did put this in writing, just having trouble finding the document via Jewgle since they prune search results to push anti-gun articles before anything else.

We should expect another OIC, Turdeau's on his last leg and knows his time is limited so he'll go all-in at this point. He has nothing to lose.
>>
>>62902501
>the mayor and advocates say
>previously
This is so vague it's almost meaningless.
The only statements from Leblanc I'm seeing are:
>reestablish Canadian Firearms Advisory Committee to review "what models are suitable for hunting"
>"we are committed to the buyback" (lmao)
Not that I don't believe you but I'm not particularly worried. Even if they do a new OIC they've proven they have no ability to confiscate, and like I said they don't have time to get it written into law. Plus Scott Moe told the feds they can't have my guns.

Whatever dude we all just have nothing to do but wait anyways, not like shit is going to get any better before 2025. The ever-corrupt Bloc Quebecois refuses to oust this faggot PM and his thugs, most we can expect at this point is a last-minute election in October 2025.

As many have pointed out, there's plenty of time between now and then for the Libs and their chinese handlers to rig the next election too.

Dunno about that because he feels the need to beg on Cangen and claim that shipping delays are due to demand (Lmao). Pretty sure it's not working because no one wants marked up temu shit.

>>
>>62902565
>The ever-corrupt Bloc Quebecois refuses to oust this faggot PM and his thugs
They came out in support of ousting the Liberals. The main problem is that to get a majority the Conservatives need both the Bloc and the NDP, but the NDP have nothing to gain from an election.
>>
>>62902668
nooooo you can't just highlight violent minorities!! what about my heckin diversity?!
>>
>>62902672
The blocked the last possible election where the NDP said they were going to support a vote of non-confidence because Trudeau gave them what they wanted. They are 100% self-interested and give zero fucks about the rest of Canada.

IMO it should be illegal for a political party to exist only in one province and serve only that province. It's absurd, like having two provincial governments but one gets access to the federal budget.
>>
>>62902668
That wouldn't have stopped the Dawson College shooting or the Vernon massacre (but banning jeets would have) or the Edmonton spree shooting (but banning chinks would have) or the Toronto Boxing Day shooting (but banning niggers would have)
>>
>>62902779
No their next step is to start designating everything as "hate speech" or a "hate organization" so they can use existing and amplified weapons prohibitions to disarm their political opponents.

>don't like mass migration?
>hateful! take his guns
>don't like abortion?
>hatemonger rapist! disarmed!
>don't like trannies molest your kid?
>BIGOT GIVE US THAT RIFLE.

etc.

It's amazing how Canadian media has, for many decades, focused exclusively on the isolated and rare shootings that aren't minority/gang violence. The one time some white guy goes apeshit and shoots people they screech about it for 30 years, yet the daily shootings and murders around Jane and Finch are never reported or they're buried under some broader story about muh racismssmsms
>>
>>62902830
I only disagree because "next" implies they're not already trying to do this
>>
>>62902841
True, it's a gradual process that gets worse and worse. They started a long time ago with shit like the CHRT fining comedians for dabbing on dykes. Now it's a full-scale KGB-tier attack on anyone who dissents. They were slow to start the gun banning compared to UK and Australia but they're working to catch up. If we carry on the present course we'll have our own social media police arresting people for Facebook posts in 20 years time.
>>
>>62902866
>in 20 years time
Try any moment now. People were getting harassed by the government for online posts during freedom convoy a few years back.
>>
>>62902866
>They were slow to start the gun banning compared to UK and Australia
Not if you consider the LGR the "start" of it (or any of the steps prior to the LGR, like that faggot Pierre taking full-auto FALs out of hardware stores). Canadians have been a lot less compliant with it than the UK or Australia was, is all. I'm old enough to remember seeing "HUNTING PERMITTED WITH UNREGISTERED GUNS ONLY" signs as a kid kek.
The speech policing is further along than the gun grab is, in my opinion.
>>
>>62902888
Well the speech policing is the avenue to grabbing guns directly. If you say naughty things you're a hateful dangerous bigot who can't own guns. Easiest way to confiscate guns is with a direct weapons prohibition. Hardest way is with a general, nation-wide ban that requires millions of door-to-door visits to physically remove guns from people.
They know gun owners are largely opposed to the nu-age bullshit they're peddling, so they either get people to self-police by making examples out of individuals and publicizing it, or they start the process of harassment where people just feel it's too much hassle to own guns and they kill the sport.
