Never had a problem with mine but granted mine is a relatively newish/recent model and manufacture and probably would rank on the much higher end of what Belomo makes/offers as far as their overall product catalog is concerned. It certainly wasnt cheap i’ll admit but the build quality absolutely lives up to the price point IMO. Rugged as hell too - can pop it on and off and bang it around and never really loses zero which is what i love about them generally.That said im not surprised people have reported QC issues with other POSPs as some of them can be pretty janky. I have an older fixed 6x24 POSP that literally cracked itself apart on the range and i didnt notice it until it finally would stay put. Mileage will vary and you do get what you pay for:But as for my (limited) experience i swapped out the original fixed 4x24 PSO for the variable a few years ago and never looked back

I dis manage to repair it by cannibalizing a replacement piece off of a spare aftermarket mount (also pictured) which actually worked pretty well but even though it’s “fixed” i have no desire to use it again anytime soon. You can discern the massive difference in build quality between the two just from the pictures but its similarly obvious when you touch/hold them in your hand too.So as i sayalways do your research and shop carefully when you can.

>>62920577I dont think you really understand the point i’m trying to make as you seem to think that just because something is inherently more mechanically complex that it must also mean that it is automatically more fragile or going to be unavoidably prone to more error/breakage than a simpler design. You are failing to account for the vast differences in building materials, parts choice (like springs and nuts), and craftmanship/attention to detail that make a huge difference in how well something is destined to actually perform at it’s intended purpose. A variable scope that is actually made out of good materials and executed/crafted properly will probably perform better than a fixed scope made by someone cutting corners and using cheap chinesium. This is especially true for scopes like PSOs and POSPs. Price by itself doesnt prove anything, but it does give you a reference point to sense whether you are in the ballpark or likely dealing with a “too good to be true” situation.As for my particular case, it wasnt luck. I had experience with these types of scopes, knew how to evaluate good examples versus bad ones, knew exactly what i wanted from the outset before i started shopping around, and asked lots of goodquestions before i eventually picked the one i did. i dont trust anything. I verify. That said i do have a pretty high risk tolerance in general so maybe that makes the ultimate difference. Either way i was never worried not then and not ow.Anyway happy for u and your fixed 8x tho congrats.

POSPs are not quality scopes no matter which model you get. They're well accepted to be mediocre and hit or miss. The 4-12 is not made to better tolerances or out of higher quality parts or materials than the cheap 4x ones. The only things they've really changed over the years are the diopters, finishes, and battery systems. All the rest is the same between them.

>>62920947Third party anon here. Its not the design thats the issue. Its the manufacturer The real military PSO scopes are alright, I have a few. HOWEVER, the POSP are fucking garbage. Literally everything I've every bought from Belomo has been shit. Its a Belorussian company that makes all of those now. The last POSP I bought from them had a loose eye box. I could rotate the scope with my fingers. I've bought several dovetail mounts from them too and every single one of them one only painted on ONE side. Somebody just spray painted it on one side and never flipped it over.
