Redpill me on these bros, should I shop for the M9 or the 92FS?
>>62918238Never shot a 92 but I have a px4 storm and an a400 extreme. Love them both. Will get a 92 at some point.
>>62918238It's a Prettied-up Italian clone of the walther P38 with a double-stack mag. It's good.
It’s the natural conclusion of the handgun. An accumulation of all knowledge since the first chinese blackpowder thunder tube was used.
Unironically get a pt92
>>62918238There are better guns out now, but its still pretty good if you want a metal frame DA/SA gun.
>>6291823890-two
>>62918471i unironically miss my pt92 even though i upgraded to an actual berreta. it was one of the old ones that was actually blued. its not like i can get a new taurus to replace it and call it good. the safety location was just better. o well
>>62918238M9 is the military, low quality, amerimutta produced handgun. There is a reason why even the US military hated that gun.Now the 92FS is the civilian model and not so mass produced, better quality overall and reliable.
>>62918238Mel Gibson factor aside, the only thing I really hated about the pistol is the double action/single action. That's change in action comes when you charge the weapon. The first shot will be a hair trigger single action shot. The following shots will be in double action, unless you pull the hammer back. The trigger pull is insanely different when you shoot it without the hammer back. But it ran flawlessly. I didn't have one malfunction, and still managed to score sharp shooter. You'll be fine if that's what you like.
>>62919204Lmao. This fucking post. Noguns get the rope.
>>62919204>the first shot will be a hair trigger single action shot. The following shots will be in double action, unless you pull the hammer backyour either noguns or had one of the random unpopular variant models that existed but never really sold
>>62918238M9 has less lawyer markings, the 92FS will have stupid text "fires when trigger is pulled" "check gun if loaded" plastered all over it. Otherwise they're identical guns.
>>62918471lol. lmao.
>>62919080>>62919204Is this AI software?
>>62919080>US military hated that gunThey were kept in poor condition, jealous Siggers, muh Mk25, overhyping the slide breakage (aka SEAL tears), handlets, etc.>>62918238Same gun except the 92FS:>radiused top backstrap for thumb webbing>slanted dustcover (change was made to accommodate .40S&W chamberings)>uses flathead screws instead of hex92FS until 2000 had straight dust cover like M9, they also had all metal trigger, safety, mag release and guide rod.>>62919042Get anotherI got rid of my 92FS for an M9A3, got another 92FS and had both for a while but never shot the M9A3For the edification of others about the PT92: it descends from the OG 92, so any differences between it and that are changes Taurus made.>ergo it and 92SB onward have mag releases>but Taurus made their own mag release>their mags have same origins tho>so one mag fits in the other>but neither will lock in without the right cutOther parts that complicate interchangeability:>oversized hammer pin (92FS)>firing pin block (92SB)>slide safety (92S)Which can be weird because I believe you should be able to put a PT92 slide assembly (barrel and all) on an M9A4 frame, but there will be no safety or decocker.
>>62918238Personally, I'd opt for the M9 because I think the straight dust cover is more aesthetic and I prefer the dot-bar sight picture over the 3 dot sights of the 92FS.
I prefer the 92fs for the lack of rail. For me the rail system kinda ruin the aesthetic of it.
Im not going to read this thread but get the 92 Brigadier during the Trump era
>>62918238XI SAO is $100 rebate right now.
>>62918260>Will get a 92 at some point.I love leverguns!
