Noveske literally makes an AR-platform SBR marketed as the "ghetto blaster".

I really want to get a Highpoint at some point if I can find it for under $150 and just decorate it to hell for fun.

High Point has a surprisingly substantial dedicated nonnigger fan-based for whatever reason

Because they are clunky and not that nice, but they are also rugged, safe, and very functional bricks in good calibers, at a low price and with very generous warranty.
Compare to a shitty old Raven Arms MP25 which is in a mouse caliber, doesn't like to work when fully loaded, and even then only barely, likes to fall apart, and also likes to sometimes fire when the safety is used, or you drop it on the floor.

Hi-Point's best products are probably their carbines, because straight blowback in 9mm and .45 is easier to shoot in a carbine form, and there's actually some fairly compelling tricking out you can do to the things without making them TOO expensive.
The .45 caliber Hi-Point pistols and rifles use a modified 1911 magazine pattern, so getting yourself a couple of CMC magazines and working them over a bit would get you over the only really weak part of these guns.

I agree, I also like the company and what they’re doing. They’re providing functional and reliable enough firearms at a price point that anyone no matter how bad their financial situation may be in is able to afford. They probably aren’t a bad for someone who is experienced and doesn’t have a lot of money, but is looking for something that is cheap that they can learn to shoot on either

Honestly its a bit of a crime that they hollowed one out to make it a shotgun disguise...
