https://youtu.be/zbKoDcsPGIkAs a 500. Magnum enjoyer I would love to have this conversation upper/slideThoughts?
>>64307351Oh and here is the mad lad actually test firing it. https://youtu.be/hZ1orxXV2Gs
>>64307371>that wrist snapdude just got carpal tunnel 10 years from now
>>64307351I’d be game to buy one.Since I don’t think I’ll be getting a triple action thunder any time soon unless I start getting real lucky with lottery numbers
>>64307351I'm no engineer but that looks pretty fucking weak for a .50 action. Probably fine for a gimmick you shoot once for updoots but I wouldn't trust it beyond that.
>>64307455well it is called the wrist wreckerif anything it's still flawed for not immediately doing it.
>>64307498Looks stronger than a serbu…
>>64307371If ever there was a reason to actually use a brace as a brace...
>>64307580Nah… it flying up looks bad, but you want all that motion to absorb energy… strapping that thing to an arm and firing it seems like a good way to shove a lot of force into a section of bone that wasn’t meant to take a ton of force into a new and interesting direction…..
>>64307584His technique is shit. His problem is that he locked his arms. If he kept his elbows a little bent then he could have let the gun rise up to soak the recoil. Instead he tried to hold the gun like a vise and nearly lost his grip. That man has little experience shooting hard-recoiling handguns.Watch these fools shoot a very hard recoiling revolver, probably worse than the .50. Watch the young guys try and shoot it like this guy did the .50 and they nearly lose control of the gun on multiple occasions. Then watch the old man shoot. Notice how he holds his arms. He's much weaker by comparison but he can shoot the gun much better because he knows how to hold it properly.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XEsamEcJn0
that's pretty fucking cool.
>>64308184I did NOT lock my elbowsand I do have a lot of experience in shooting big calibers, also own a .50AE deagle myself...I have to admit I should have had another grip and other people would probably be better at shooting this monster, but I do have a lot of experience and did the best I could...This gun just did not want to go up, it wants to twist and go back
>>64308200Why am I not suprised you browse /k/ bro lol
>>64308200>muh 50AE XPIIRC, 500 S&W magnum puts out more energy than 50 Action Express.
>>64308373Yeah, but I dont own one... I've shot .500S&W but I do not own one(If it isn't obvious: neither hit my head and I didnt wear a helmet shoting those)Also here is a gif of me shooting a slug from my sawed off 12g one handed
>>64308184I don’t know if I’d say his technique is shit. Honestly I think your getting enough kick fast that theirs not a ton you can do. The only frame of reference I really have is my 444 marlin lone eagle with a 505 gn hardcast round… 70 ft-lbs of recoil. And even expecting it, and trying to keep a good grip my supporting hand came off…
>>64308385>giffuckin' noice
>>64308200All things considered I think you did fine. The helmet was a smart choice.50 ae is not really all that much recoil in the grand scheme of things and from my experience shooting it vs 500 mag, 454, and some other stupidly big calibers I doubt it would have done a good job preparing you for the shock…. Did you run the load data through GRT or quick loads for that gun barrel? I’d be really curious how much recoil it thinks your gonna experience.. pretty sure the “twist” phenomenon your getting is because of the rocking spinning the bullet.. if I two hand shoot my 500 bushwacker it’ll rise pretty straight, but if I 1 hand shoot it it’ll rise at an angle because of the twisting force.,. On big bore revolvers its a lot easier to lock your thumbs together which helps a lot with grip, doubt you could do that on a 1911 frame…. I suspect if you put a brake on that you’d get much better results… that’s got a lot of extra gas to play with.. this is a side by side with 500 magnums in my BFR before and after I got it converted to 500 bushwacker and they put the giant rifle break on it…. Even with the 600 gn +p rounds it’s shooting its still a pretty far cry from 50 bmg, but you can see how much the brake takes it down..Seriously though. If you ever think about selling those for a 1911 frame, drop an email link on here. I’d be interested.
>>64308417*rifling spinning the bullet…. Ducking autocarrot.
>>64308430>Ducking autocarrotHeh, gotta remember this one
>>64308184>t.
>>64307351He first showed it off here like a month ago.>>64307498>>64307546Both it and the Serbu are more than strong enough for .50BMG, just use strong and heat treated steel of a good alloy, and have a strong and secure mechanical lockup. The Serbu is really unrefined in terms of handling and design, but a properly made screw plug breech IS going to be strong enough to hold up to .50BMGI doubt that this thing will fail to any normal factory ammo, I'd be more interested in how long that the 1911 pistol frame is going to hold up to the recoil specifically.>>64308184lmao shut up
>>64308417>50 ae is not really all that much recoil in the grand scheme of thingsIt's not a monster like a .500 S&W or anything, but the Desert Eagle specifically does a lot to tame .50AE, it's a heavy pistol with a gas operated action. For comparison, .44 Magnum from a Desert Eagle makes the recoil feel kinda like a 1911.The old AMT Automag V came with a ported slide and barrel as standard, because .50AE from a comparatively lighter weight short-recoil pistol would probably fucking hurt.
>>64308200I like the action design, have you considered a 16 inch variant with a stock?
>>64308958>16 inch barrel with a stock>still 1911 lowerI'm a little scared
>>64308958No barrel change, just add stock. I want the spiciest pdw experience.
>>64308417OP, like this guy said let us know if you plan on selling these. I’m a fan of the BBG (big bore guns) and would love to add this whacky example next to my full size S&W 500 MAG.You could probably sell quite a few in this board alone just for the retarded nature of this firearm.
>>64309725Install the most loud and obnoxious muzzle brake possible and make sure you only take the gun to indoor ranges, Always choose the lane next to the guys trying to do serious Olympic-style bullseye pistol shooting.
>>64308200Any chance of selling this in the states? I bet you could easily sell the idea to Serbu but I don’t know what you get out of doing that Personally I just want a .45-70, no need to go bigger for suppressed use.
>>64310247>I’m a fan of the BBG (big bore guns)
Found this on Twitter, anyone got any info on wtf this is? looks like it might be from the same guy considering the design is so similar, but I cant find any info.
>>64307351Someone please make this real.
>>64310247My thoughts exactly
>>64307371>your gun says 50AE>my gun says 50 BMG
>>64307455I'm stealing this muzzle break idea from the anon who posted it in the other thread
>>64310716Somewhere in the middle I hope to get a 50 Alaskan…
>>64307455Should make it a fuckmassive cowboy blaster, the BIGGEST iron. For those who don't know, the grip shape helps redirect recoil in a more comfortable way. It might just yeet that thing into the roof though.
>>64310765With .50BMG, the classic plow grip is just gonna send the top of the gun flying into the web of your hand, letting the gun roll in your hand is the last thing you want with crazy recoil.
>>64310824Didn't someone accidentally dome themselves with a .500 S&W doing that
>>64311029Yeah, and that's a gun which has a contoured rubber grip and a compensator and all, but that's from not having a solid grip on the gun at all. There's a few dozen such incidents, some where someone indeed bumped the trigger as the gun spun around on their finger, a few with fatal outcomes. That's why with double-action Super Magnums, you NEVER load more than a single round until you are experienced enough with it that you're sure you're not gonna have it fly out of your grip. Also why you never load more than one round when handing the gun to a beginner, naturally.
>>64308200very cool anon
>>64310765>BIGGEST iron.I need to stop you right there, partner
>>64307351The thread where this first turned up is still active right now >>64159301
