Need a source for Star Megastar 45 acp mags
>>64486748why did you buy a .45acp megastar? thats like buying a .357 deeg
Rollerposting
>>64486759Very light, I wish they gave it at least a 3" barrel though, maybe even 4"
>>64486768I agree it should have been 2.5-3 instead of 2.
>>64486759did you grab the cheap one i posted earlier this week or have you had that a while
>>64486778Had a while
>>64486740btw that scab on my thumb is from when I was racking the Galil
I tried to use my left hand to rack it and didn't have the best technique. I think you're supposed to use your right hand for AK style rifles. Is that right?
QUICK! Post your home-defense handgat.
>>64486871always loaded 13+1 with hollowpoints
do new production glock mags work with old ass gen 2s and 1s?
>>64486871>>64486875why would you use a shitty handgun instead of literally any long gun
>>64486871A beretta 1301 in one room and an 11.5 AR in another
>>64486884CQB, bro. Haha. But the rear sight of my Benelli M1 fell off while I was shooting it.
>>64486884Depends on the situation
>>64486884>shittyWow. New here? Anyways, I do have use a proper rifle for home defense too, but I can't store it in my bedside counter.>>64486901Beebro.
>>64486905That's a... rather high riser.
>>64486751What are you implying, that I should have got the 10mm? I can shoot .45 +P all day with this.
>>64486871I keep a variety laying around, but the bedside gun is a P-09.>>64486884Because I owned guns before 2013.
Halp! Bought a .45 USP and need a good IWB light bearing holster. Got the GG&G rail but my gen 1 Floodlight is not gonna cut it this time. (currently rocking a beretta px4)>>64486871 noice but HD? shit, im trying to carry the motherfucker
>>64486959Floodlight gen1 too small. Got any holster recommendations?
>>64486959I carried my USP 45 for years. I used a Galco leather holster, outside the wasteband. I just didn't give a fuck if I printed or my shirt raised up. Most people just thought I was an off-duty cop. Benefits of being a clean-cut huhwhite man.
>>64486871I don't even have a WML, kek
>>64486980>I just didn't give a fuck if I printed or my shirt raised up. Most people just thought I was an off-duty copbased
>>64486871>was literally just thinking of getting this setup for hdIs this a sign?
I kind of want to get a phlster holster setup
>>64486994You probably don’t have a handheld either. Very stupid, sgt.
I can't get a hold of Ron Mahovsky I'm a bit frustrated. I need my slides hard chromed.
>>64486748Keep an eye out on eBay and gunbroker, they pop up occasionally. Alternatively if you're decent with a Dremel you can modify p14 magazines https://youtu.be/AAsRC19MLoU
Should I grab a RXM before Ruger shit cans them?
>>64487070Jarvis Custom CrN PVD
>>64486870You load it with just left hand and turn it to side to also charge it with left hand and watch round go in. Do you even slav squat?
>>64487079Thanks man, I found some promags for the megastar on boomer broker, will try my luck with one of those.
>>64487094That's actually what I tried to do. I guess I just did it wrong and it cut my thumb a little bit.
>>64487058You're wrong again, cpl. Anyone with a contemporary phone has a handheld flashlight really
>>64487085DependsDo they have the same shitty finish as other Ruger autos?
>>64487113Go back to /arg/
>>64487097promags oh god noPleaseRememberOurMagsAreGarbage
>>64487116Lol imagine the RXM left outside for 3 months, the recycled Chinese automobile steel won't stand a chance.

>>64487117sybau
>>64487090Thank youI'll look into this coating.
>>64487028Yes. Get it, anon.It has the LEM match trigger, which is just the best trigger for defense. It also doesn't have any safeties, so if my gf needs to use it it's just pick up and play. Raised nightsights standard too, and the grip fits a smaller hand while still being grippy. 100% reliable, as expected.
>>64487160a few other places have CrN
>>64487113You best be trolling. Get a real handheld, you can’t effectively hold both with all the techniques. Try to do the Harries hold with that. Yeah, you look stupid.
>>64487180Im my short search so far stsfirearms sounds good and a little cheaper.
>>64486871
Anyone have the id of this pistol? Probably not a Canik>>64487182Fuggit, I'll cop a X300 this black Friday / cyber Monday
>>64487265It's a hellcat pro.
Combat magnum w/ handloaded JHPs
>>64487265A WML is good, but it’s not as a civie, sgt. legally speaking, you’re better off with just a handheld. What if you need to identify a threat but you’re not sure enough to draw your pistol?Though, a WML would force you to get a real holster.
>>64487298*not enough
>>64487298>>64449217 #For one of countless stories for why WML are important. You cannot draw and control a shotgun, rifle, or handgun with a handheld light in hand. I know you don't practice draw drills and time them given the fact you even proposed this idea, but try it sometime. How do you plan on moving your shirt out of the way with a handheld flashlight in your hand? Do you plan on moving the flashlight from your dominate hand to your non dominate hand, then using that hand with the flashlight in it to pull your shirt up and away from your gun and then draw with your right? And even pretending that doesn't double or tripple your draw time, you practice this enough that nothing gets tangled in the process? And that's while in the comfort of your own home not in the most stressful moment of your life? I'm serious, practice your draws. You don't even need to live fire just do it in your own home with a timer running on your phone. I think this will be a cool learning expirence for you, even if you don't change your mind on WML you will at least get your draws down with that crazy handheld light plan of yours which may save your life. But also, as I said in that old thread WMLs also look nice and help balance your handgun making follow up shots faster by reducing muzzle flip.
>>64487332I said legally speaking. You can read x-ray image, but not English words lol. My point still stands. And if you have a handheld and a WML, you can just drop the handheld if it’s an issue.
>>64487337>I said legally speaking. You can read x-ray image, but not English words lolYou also said good for a sgt, not for a civie. Its also like 1am man I'm tired. I think WMLs are the first upgrade folks should get for a HD or carry pistol, and the second for a rifle after a sling.
>>64487348I’m just busting your balls a bit lol. That’s pastebin, he’s not serious about handgun discussion. I’m also just razzing him by calling him schizo glocktroon and calling out his novice attitude towards handguns. What you said was valid, but he’s not going to take your advice in earnest. And I pocket carry most of the time.
>>64487283Hey cool. I'm a new revolver bro myself.
>>64486961Odin tactical makes light bearing holsters for the USP
>>64487362>What you said was valid, but he’s not going to take your advice in earnest.I fully believe 99% of all good reasonable advice given to newcomers is ignored. Good night, I'm gonna get some sleep and probably take a break from here for a week or two so I don't become unreasonable myself

>>64487391This isn’t a newcomer; it’s someone who intentionally comes here to shitpost and troll, ya dink.
After near a dozen orders and thousands in dollars I finally got burned by Palmetto State Armory A while back PSA had Sar9 OPTIC READY pistols on sale for around $200. Don’t own any optic ready duty sized striker fires so I made the purchase. I had a Sar B6C and it runs great so I don’t doubt quality for price. I get the pistol, came super fast, and it’s has no optic cut! I reach out to PSA. “Hey listing says it’s supposed to be optic ready and it not” Please send order number, pics, etc. I do. ‘PSA just fulfilled the order and it’s not our fault’ aka get fucked. You can open up the case to put your bullshit sticker in there, but you can’t check to make sure it’s what you’ve advertising?
>>64487444If you were less of a cheapskate, you could have just bought a gun that only comes optic ready.
>>64487464Yeah, for a few hundred more I could get a Dagger or RXM, but I didn’t want those. Like if the pistol was a dud I wouldn’t be upset. You get want you pay for. This is a matter of false advertisement and or no one caring about sending the right item which is a separate matter imo
>>64487553lol get wrecked you scrub. U mad in these here comments. If you are going to waste money on garbage like a good consoomer at least get weird and unique stuff like my S333 Thunderstruck in 22 mag
>poormetto
>>64486927>that I should have got the 10mm?yes, thats the entire point of the megastar. also you don't even own .45 +P
>>64486994>Try to shoot the bad guy>Miss because you can't clearly see your irons
>>64486871you but better
>>64486875Based SKX007 wearer
>>64487332One overlooked benefit of a WML is it acts as a stand off device. If the gun is ever pressed into an attacker it will cycle.
>>64487444Post the listing
>>64487444You should have asked if they do the needful or not.
>WMLWhere to buy cheap CR123A batteries in bulk that are USA made? I don't trust Amazon for such things.

>>64487267>hellcatCheers>>64487298>legally speakingTo my knowledge, nobody's ever been arrested for muzzle flagging anyone sketch enough to warrant a flash lighting>identify a threat but you’re not sure enough to drawI'm not traversing parks, roads or hiking in the evening hours, kek>WML would force you to get a real holsterNot if I only equip it before bed, cpl>>64487362>not going to take your advice in earnestBaka Anon-kun, I'm the one who wants an X300>pocket carryBahahah, you're the joke if anything>>64487396>t. cheese pizza lover >>64487895Any competent shooter can point shoot out to 10 yards

>>64488222Disassemble mag, clean, inspect follower and spring, reassemble.
>>64488194Get out of here already you schizoid freak.
>>64488327I'm not the one who was arguing into the small hours with the tomography anon against weapon mounted lights to the point of having him leave for a week / two, it was that cannabis dealing idiot who pocket carries a J-frame if not a poly striker (You)>>64488202Frig off, you don't even shoot beyond 10 yards
>>64488497I just went DAO at 50 feet for 100 rounds last weekend. Stop projecting.
>>64486871M&P .45ACPloaded with Federal HSP 230 grain
>>64488503>claim>no image or videoMany such cases!
I just tried to find a case where a WML got someone charged without other factors (threats, etc.)I found one where a laser was a factor, but the guy was verbally escalating so it doesn't count I think. That said I think they are good on a carry gun if you want to bother, but low priority. If you're handheld is good enough the fucker should be blind anyway. If it's dark enough to need one 20k candela to the face should give you time for options.
>>64488560Because Im not a terminally online loser
>>64488605He’s the worst shooter here bar none. I shoot better with a j frame snub nose than he does a full sized glock. Basically at the same skill level as a melinated SNAP recipient.
>>64487839>you mad you got scammed on a basic bitch pistol when you could have been spending more money on a novelty pos like me Okay >>64488003Like if I was upset it shipped with 10 round mags, but said CA compliant on the listing that would be on me. It says optics ready and it’s the manufactures fault not the people advertising or shipping it apparently according to PSA
>>64487387Thx, Odin Holsters. Google didn't return them in a search. Seems they don't list the USP 45 but rather the HK 45 and since im using the GG&G rail adapter i dunno if it'll work in their HK45 holster
>>64487298Absolutely retarded. The gap in performance between any sort of cope grip using a handheld light vs a normal grip with a WML is truly massive. The correct answer is WML for HD and WML along with a small handheld for carry. Just drop the handheld if you need to draw. If you're worried about muzzling a target to Id it then you're retarded and don't know anything about using a WML.
>>64488598What's the battery life on your luce?>>64488605You were arguing with anon at one-fucking-thirty in the morning so that's obviously a lie>>64488683You sling dope on the corner and lead at five yards, sybau
>>64488732I was asleep at 1:30 am, you're butthurt at me because I mentioned the irons alignment issue you have.
>>64488546Holy 2010 throwback.
i want to edc a 1911 - is this a good choice? can grab a new one for 599.
>>64487097No problem, they're not perfect but they beat having no magazines
>>64488851Eh, that’s not a bad price for something with an overpriced msrp. For carry id go with the 3” one, but that’s just me
yeah take that, paper. You're not the boss of me
>>64488851If you intend to get it in 10mm or 45 sureIf you're getting it in 9mm i cannot endorse it.
>>64488851yeah I guess>9mm
>>64488194You could get in trouble. Go test that theory out if you’re not that worried about flagging people.>Not if I only equip it before bed, cplSeems too tedious and retarded, sgt. What if you don’t tighten down enough one night and flys off mid shoot? Ask me how I know this can happen. You’d be kilt in your own house. And nyet, pocket carry is fine>>64488715wtf are you babbling about, retard? I wasn’t speaking to you, dumbass. I took a low level light course. If you don’t know about pastebin, then I don’t know what tell you. Maybe kys, idk.
>>64488706Check the UPC on the box to find out who fucked up.
>>64488732SNAPbin, you have to stop using your debit card for everyday purchases. It’s time to be a big boy and get a credit card.
>>64488954If he was less of a prick I'd say we crowdfund him a proper holster. He's a charity case.
>>64488907>Ronin>10mm or 45what did he mean by that?
>Trash for trash
>>64488995does that fucking thing actually shoot?
>>64488991the ronin comes in 9mm, .45, and 10mm
>>64488947Posting about it in the otheR social media site Sar responded they did send out some wrong. I’m going to contact them next to see about a slide swap
>>64489142fingers crossed for a free slide in the mail
>>64488732I've never tested it but some some autist who runs a light review sight (https://1lumen.com/) said it actually lives up to manufacturer claims. I just charge it whenever the reflection of the hot spot on a white wall isn't painful to look at. They were doing the laser engraving for free. It wasn't part of the decision, but why not? There might be something better this year. https://store.fenix-store.com/products/fenix-pd35-v3-0-everyday-carry-flashlight-1700-lumensSample size of one but ordering direct from them was fine.
>buy into all the hype about capacity to size to weight ratios, modern "platforms", guns being dated/inferior, smaller guns better>sell my glock 26>buy a p365>it's less comfortable to carry>so small it digs into my leg>shoot it worse with the stock grip module>it prints just as often>"but you need an optic bro, the last guy who won an idpa match....">grab a pistol i have that already has an optic>shirt snagger 9000>nah, stick with irons>sell p365 after a while>buy a p2000sk>it's more comfortable to carry than the glock or the sig>basically disappears>slightly larger size helps it hug the leg instead of jabbing it>prints exactly as often as last two guns>nail the printing issue down to every other shirt sold today being cut too long so fat people can wear them without showing skin>put on the L backstrap, shoot it better>LEM trigger is crisp and consistent, allows thumbing the hammer, is 2 springs away from being even better>takes p30 mags so now i have an excuse to buy a p30l next year (the most important part) and carry two HKs during the winter (the absolute most important part)>also looks cooler (an important part as well)thanks for reading my blog
>>64489259I rented the original p365 twice. I did it the second time because everyone kept sucking it off so I thought it must be a fluke. Hated it both times, wanted to throw it at the target. SIG and everyone come out with the "XL" models, completely defeating the purpose of the micro nine in the first place. I just use cargo pants now. You can access them while driving. I've been carrying my security 9 since it has a safety and I can just throw it in there without a holster. I really wish they made a light and thin da/sa with a decocker but I haven't found anything that really works. I'm aware of the non zero chance of the safety getting released in my pocket and the trigger getting pulled not the odds of them both happening at the same time are so remote it's not worth thinking about.
For as much as everyone here cries about the G43/G43x I like both of them way more than the sig sewer P365
>>64489142>>64489168That would be great if they fix it for you but PSA should comp you something for your trouble, especially since they slapped that sticker on there. If you've spent thousands there they should know that about you. In general I blame the jeets and the jews who started hiring them in the first place for this trend. They can't give the phone poos the power to comp because they will just find a way to abuse it. Was the PSA CS American?
>>64489333>PSA owes you for a mistake they didn't make
Also, if we're shitting on SIG, I should repost this for those who haven't seen it. Enjoy this tired formulaic 4cinz meme that's derivative satire and not at all an actual promotion from sig sauer that really exist. I mean, this is so obviously bait, there's no way this Israel, I mean is real.
>>64489333>If you've spent thousands there they should know that about you.naive.
>>64489349>PSA is willing to put their name on scams and defend them Even Amazon comps you if a jeet/chang scams you.
>>64489349They inspected it. That sticker is culpability. This is also part of the deal of being a merchant. You sold the item, you listed what it was. Also legal liability ≠ brand image accountability. Reputation is huge.
>>64489357Nigger, what do you think all this ad data is for? If he has an account with them it should be there. If the CS monkey doesn't have access then that's them being shitty. Why are you white knighting these pistol jews?
>>64489362Where's the scam? You seem mad about literally nothing happening.
>>64489382Please pay attention and read the post chain you reply to, it will save you from embarrassing yourself.
>>64489380you're very stupid. Give them more money. Maybe they'll check their ad data and start liking you!
>>64489387>SAR shipped a bunch of optics-ready pistols with the wrong slide>SAR extends open invitation to correct this issue where presentWhy you crying, kid?
>>64489387embarrassment requires a persistent presence of identity that can be assessed and critiqued. You are very stupid for making such a consideration on an anonymous board wherein our identities are absent.
>>64489401>DO NOT REDEEM
>>64489403Embarrassment requires you to have self awareness, which I guess many here don't.
>>64489416>"people here have no self awareness">on 4chandelicious irony bro. Kinda rare.
>>64489434Interesting thing to say.
>>64489382>>64489387The only reference to a scam is my offhand remark about why CS sucks now. It's ironic because >>64489362 is the one who's actually the reading comprehension fail here. It was a mistake. The supplier mispackaged the item. The retailer failed to detect the mislabeled merchandise. In the jurisdiction that I grew up in and was part of a retail family, the customer would be entitled to a refund (in a specific time window), but this is decades later and a different jurisdiction plus a possibly interstate firearm sale so I have no idea who's legally responsible. >>64489397Now you're being disingenuous, and further failing to comprehend. The premise would be that PSA should comp a repeat customer. You're clearly an ESL thirdie shitter, because chat bots wouldn't be this stupid.>>64489401More reading comprehension. They never agreed to send a new side, they only confirmed (allegedly assuming /k/ poster isn't lying and the social media response is real) that some were sent wrong. Usually in these cases the company offers to resolve it privately somehow. /k/poster wasn't clear but implied contacting them was his idea and not an offer. You really are fucking too retarded to be allowed a phone much less a gun. Oh and to be clear, I'm not the guy with the PSA gun, since you're too stupid to follow.
>>64489451You called me wrong but also right this is too spergy for me.
>>64489451>Now you're being disingenuous, and further failing to comprehend. The premise would be that PSA should comp a repeat customer. blah blah my dick is small and you're making me angrynah that's stupid. They're cheap and make and sell cheap shit. You're surprised it's cheap? You went to the cheap shit store and are upset and beguiled by the bag of cheap shit you got? All that and you call ME stupid? I love to see it; to know someone out there is living a whole ass life with such a dumb shit brain in it. Incredible.

>>64489610>throw an optic on that and I'd buy it in an instant
>>64489596>THERE CAN'T POSSIBLY BE MORE THAN ONE PERSON THAT DISAGREES WITH MEanon you gotta stop this, go take a breather

>>64489626So you're a counter monkey. I knew it. Maybe stop chiming in with useless personal trivia and stay on topic.
>>64489626Yeah, but I'm not wrong.
>>64489636About which part? Can't tell what your "point" is anymore, I think you've lost sight of it.
>>64489634Interesting. The troll is impersonating me now. Maybe he did it already with >inbecil>>64489637About the samefag in this case, but now I'm not so sure as the troll (probably you but maybe not) is showing more sophistication. Can we get an ugly anime girl and a Beretta? This is getting lame.
>>64489657>This is getting lame.it was lame an hour ago but you kept goin, brother.
>>64489038Actually, yeah. I have three of them. One fires but does not extract, one is perfectly functional, and one is missing it's weird, proprietary mag. That's the baby one. Bought one form a boomer site a while back and it just never came. One day I'll care enough to get one.
>>64489657You're just mistaken, and that's okay anon, you don't have to be mad about it. I'm the lgs employee, it's a family business and my job title is "employee" just like my siblings. You're still assuming you know who is who, how many people there are, and who each reply comes from, gotta stop with that. Calm down, have a drink, post a gun. (you won't)
>>64489677Forgot to add: The one in the first picture is covered in cat puke and has the bad extractor. Fires but no eject.
>>64489629I'm just now looking at this and that huge gap between the wood and the back strap. That can't be comfortable, and that's the catalog photo? >>64489705Then I got a string from my belt to the cargo pocket. Now that I think about it I could clamp the string to the pocket itself. I think the reason I haven't is that it costs as much for one of those kydex trigger covers than an entire holster. I don't actually have a g26, it's a different subcompact that's about the same size but less common. Maybe the Glock ones are cheaper. I've been looking at enclosed hammer double action revolvers, but I'm not sure if it's worth all that. There's really nothing wrong with how I'm doing it now, and on the rare occasions I don't wear cargo pants I can use my 380.

>>64489741I genuinely feel like it is one of my best feeling handguns. It has a nice weight and shoots stupid soft since it's .380 in a full size frame.
>>64490045Well I mostly carry the CS40 in that pic but I just bought a csx e series to try out. I guess I'll see how I like it but I feel like it's slept on being a single action metal micro-compact, and I got mine for just under 500. I would want to try the cds9 with the rail but the price is not something I like. The bodyguard 2.0 is also quite good and comfy but I view that as more of a pocket pistol than a micro-compact.
>>64490490That's too bad. I was considering the CC9 myself if it got a price drop.I'm not the anon that asked originally but I wanted a microcompact and didn't want a Sig after trying it at a range.

>>64490077It looks like the hyskore aren't made anymore either. If the current trend continues tho there will be more options. Look at all the tactifudd lever guns they came out with in the last 5 years. By 2029 we'll have multiple dot rail revolvers and those will be the only legal guns in the ban states.
>>64490045No one wants to admit they all suck because 9mm is actually too powerful to comfortably shoot in a gun that small and light. There's a reason 380 still exists. There's a reason the Glock 43 is "to big" and 9mm 1911 style guns are generally heavy. Yeah you CAN shoot it. But it's too big to pocket carry and if you're going to bother iwb or whatever you've got better options. Everyone loves it in theory, but no one wants to admit they made a mistake, they just quietly go back to either a 380 or 9mm subcompact. The pistol jews even made money off this because if you buy the XL version it's an upgrade but if you go back to the g26 you're a failure.

>>64490791It's a good gun, but I wouldn't recommend the full size P09 because it's so goddamn big. It's 1911 big but chunkier and has no helpful angles, so get the P07. And "fun to shoot" is subjective, but I put mine in the "boringly good" category. I can practice a drill twenty times with any other pistol, then pick up the P09 and shoot my first run faster. That's why it's my home defense gun, but I don't shoot it much because that's boring to me.

>>64490873Glock 19 is the perfect size for a 9mm handgun, which is why it was king for years. Microcompacts like P365 just suck to shoot, and you're really not gaining anything by them being smaller if you're going to carry AIWB anyway (P365 XL is only marginally smaller than G19 anyway). The gun industry has just been trying to reinvent the wheel for the past several years to try to sell more slop to gunsoomers by psyoping people into worrying about printing.
>>64492611>completely ignoring width difference between the two guns>will probably (disingenuously) say half an inch isnt that much of a difference
>>64492624>will probably (disingenuously) say half an inch isnt that much of a differenceWell frankly, it depends on the dimension and how much half an inch really is, compared to the rest of it. Half inch of width is extremely noticeable. Half inch of height aka grip length is somewhat noticeable. Half inch of length aka barrel length is not very noticeable unless for some tarded carry methods.
>>64492624>half an inchThere's only 0.24" difference in width between the G19 and P365 XL. Slimmer guns suck to shoot, and like I said, it hardly makes it more concealable if you're carrying AIWB anyway. You can conceal a duty-size handgun AIWB with the right holster. I guess you could argue that weight and comfort are impacted, but the G19 is only three ounces heavier. It's just splitting hairs for the sake of selling new products that are marginally better on the specs sheet since you can't exactly quantify shootability or how a gun fills the hand.

>>64492695>my grip on a slim gun is too crowdedOne way this used to be addressed were modular backstraps, they make grip longer for bigger hands, but still do not compromise width.

>>64490910My take on the P-09 as well. The heft and SA pull make it extremely easy to shoot fast and accurate.
>>64492659Even going by this insane logic, a wider grip means more surface area of grip texture against your palm. The problem with thin handguns is the tendency to yank them off target with your middle and ring fingers as you pull the trigger, which results in throwing more shots low left. It's easier to keep guns with thicker grips more stable since they fill your hand better.

Mischief machine has a conversion kit for the g48 and g43x to take cz-75 mags. One guy in their comments says he had a ftf but it's still somewhat interesting.
>>64493646Certain ones do. In my reading and experience they can vary, even between the same caliber. It’s all about the lock up in how they can vary, a weak lockup will unlock early and recoil more. Some features like flat bottom firing pin stop which makes the slide eat up more energy cocking the hammer when cycling = slower slide velocity, in addition to a heavier hammer spring can tame heavy recoil. JMB got it right 120 years ago, even discounting weight the 1911’s action if built right is smooth shooting. The army requested the more popular beveled firing pin stop that makes the gun easier to rack at the cost of potential harsher recoil. They also requested the internal extractor which is like the #1 cause of malfunctions, improper extractor tension.

I keep a paper target set up so I can shoot from the kitchen, about 10 yards. Gotta practice at home, gotta practice at work, gotta train. Day in, day out, several hundred pulls of the trigger every single day, on target. About 15 yds, that’s what I do most of my practice at, just a preference. Got my P3AT and my DB380, that’s my pocket-carry and my coin-pocket-carry, one above the other so I can draw either and I don’t have to practice reaching around to weird places. Can you even touch the small of your back? I’m not a fucking gymnast. Get a laser cartridge on Amazon, throw a paper target up in the living room at 20-25yds, you won’t regret it, changed my life. This was with the L380, gorgeous piece. I’m pretty happy with it for 30yds, decent score for the first pulls of the day. If you don't have a dry-fire training setup at home you need it. It's cheap, it's easy, get some snap caps or better yet a laser cartridge and get to practicing. This one was from the kitchen into the living room, about 40yds, not bad, one flyer there. Do you even dry fire? Honestly, practicing with real bullets in 2025? Fags drop $800 a month on imported lead just to punch paper at seven yards with a timer and a GoPro, meanwhile I’m over here stacking sub-MOA groups at 50yds with a $12 laser cartridge and Christmas lights. Do people really still think “fundamentals” means paying a grand a year to rent a bay so some RSO can poke his whistle up your asshole? I haven’t bought ammo since Biden was learning to ride a bicycle. Dry fire’s free, dry fire’s quiet, dry fire doesn’t get you on a watch list when you order 10,000rds of laser beam to the house. You’re out there burning money while I’m burning holes through bullseyes. Keep mag-dumping, bro, I’ll keep stacking pennies and printing X-rings from the toilet. Enjoy your range membership, cucks.

My USP mags have two push in tabs on either side of the mad instead of a small lip along the bottom of the mag to hold the baseplate in. What's the deal? I can't attach a mag extension to it.

The best Glock shooter in the general uses floaty thumbs but his is a Gen5 and I don't think Gen3 are meant to be gripped with anything other than thumbs forward. >>64494054>you want me to fill the void left by Big BossPlease, sgt, try to understand, I know nothing about /arg/ drama. I only started posting there because of you.
>>64494054>a light gun game but the most boring one everBut really, we have good shooters in "the industry" recommending dry fire practice as exercise, and no one except anon has though about adding a laser and camera to keep score.
If you do nothing, you will improve.
>>64494190Jokes aside, the laser is great. I'm a 2hr drive from where I can shoot legally, and the nearby indoor range is a fucking disgusting trap-house looking shithole that reeks of piss and drips viscous brown shit from the ceilings. The laser is dirt cheap, there are several free apps and whatnot to use, they use the camera to watch the target and trace your hits so you can actually run drills with shot timers and get scored. Biggest downside is with SAO you're racking the slide for every shot, can be limiting. I totally recommend it, fun as fuck, dirt cheap, good practice.>>64494054>So that's a light gun game but the most boring one everCheap 1080p projector on Amazon and a laser cartridge together will run you the price of 4 boxes of 40 and you'll get a whole hell of a lot more than 200rds worth of fun out of them. You can emulate most of the old arcade light-gun games, I play Area 51 and Sammy's Deer Hunting. Not my video, but it's pretty much the same shit.
>>64494310Link? >SAOCould still be useful practicing first shot accuracy from a draw
>>64494318I've played a lot with ShootOff but it's old, unmaintained, etc. https://github.com/phrack/ShootOFF You can see a bit of what it does here: https://www.youtube.com/@Shootoffapp/videosI'm currently working on retroarch integration to make it easier for people to do this with most of the old Arcade/NES/Dreamcast/etc light-gun games, but that's a ways off so don't hold your breath.

Why is it that I can shoot better groups with my J frame shooting double action than I can with my optics equipped pistols?
>>64494585Technique.
>>64494554And being triggered by text is cuck beta behavior.
>>64494585What pistol?
>>64493573do you apply any pressure with your support hand index finger on the trigger guard?
>>64494623No. My support hand is focused on clamping on my shooting hand and gun. The px4 is slippery and I don’t have stipple or grip tape, I compensate by clamping on my other hand which apparently is what that shooter Kim Hwanik or whatever does too.
>>64494641word, I've seen that Hwansik video, but I can't really get it to work for meI just don't know if I'm supposed to clamp onto the trigger guard with my support hand index finger or noton the plus side, it definitely makes the grip stronger, but on the con side, it can impede my trigger finger
>>64494655I had issues with trigger finger interference, still do actually if I bobble the grip on the draw. I never thought of the trigger guard until I watched his video, I’m thinking of experimenting with support index finger on the trigger guard but I think what I have now works for me
>>64494609I shot my PSA Dagger, Ruger Max 9, LCP Max, S&W638, 642, and Glonk 19. At 10 yards I shot on average about 8 inch groups with the LCP Max, 4-6 inch slow firing Dagger and Max 9, slightly smaller with the Glock, and then 3 inch with the 642 and 2 inch with 638. My best group was about an inch and a half with the 638 shooting single action. I am debating on forgetting about the LCP Max and just going back to pocketing my 638. I can get back on target faster with the dot equipped pistols, but no matter what, I just shoot my revolver better.
>>64493674I am lucky enough to own a Dan Wesson Commander, it's lack of perceived recoil puts me back on target much faster than all my other pistols.
>be me>new into guns (bought a Glock a year ago)>start seeing the HK USP everywhere>"cool, I want one">get one>nobody post them anymoreDid I felt into a ruse?
>>64494836In 2022-2023 it was all Beretta 92 LTTs 2024 Beretta LTT PX4, I think mostly me but I have notes like 6-7 different posters having compacts. I do remember the USP posting.
>>64486901At least you shoot the pistol.
Anyone know if polishing a J frame will damage it in any way? I want to make my J frame pretty and I don't really like the matte Grey that it currently wears. I polished my SP101 and it looks great, but I don't know enough about metal to assume that the aluminum frame will behave the same as stainless steel.
>>64494727>At 10 yards I shot on average about 8 inch groups with theThis is a group size so large that it can only be two things - pulling the pistol off target when you shoot due to whatever technique problem OR loose optic. Check the screws and if they are tight, consult the chart, and look deep inside yourself, did you flinch on some shots but not others, did they all feel the same? Actually three, did any bullets go into target sideways?
>>64494927
>>64494857>>64494836I got you, bro. Still my favorite handgun platform.
>>64494727Single action are meaningless for carry. Did you take fatigue into account? Also please forgive what I'm about to say but I own similar guns to those and the triggers are kinda shit. Your groups make perfect sense. Did you shoot the revolvers in double action? How were those groups?Do is both a favor. Buy pic related and see how much difference it makes. I want to know because the reason I don't upgrade my lcp2 is because the Hogue grip makes it shoot better but I just noticed you can get this for the max so...?https://a.co/d/e5jG3ekAlso, rent a pdp if you can. I bet you get better groups with it. It sounds like it's not you, you just have cheap pistols with shit triggers.
>>64494927To be fair, the 8 inch groups were with an LCP Max and only the LCP Max. If I slow waaaaay down, I can tighten up the group, but it's consistently low and opens way out if I shoot with any speed. LCP doesn't have a dot, the Glock, dagger, and max 9 have dots. The LCP trigger is weird. It seems like no matter what I do, it dips down when the trigger breaks. That's probably why it shoots low normally, but is centered if I hold it tight as fuck and go slow.
>>64494990None of the ranges near me have any walthers to rent, but sure, I'll grab that sleeve to try.
>>64495010I fucking despise the LCP Max trigger, I shoot better with a P32.
>>64494990Yeah the revolvers were shot in double action. I can consistently shoot 2 inch groups at 10 yards with my 638. The single action was just to confirm zero with my handloads and I just happened to get the smallest group for the trip doing that.

Outside of buying a new sear spring, what do you guys do to decrease the trigger pull weight for a 1911? I got an EGW lightened leaf spring thingie and it definitely helped so I'm wondering what I can do to bring it down to just 2 lbs
