If its a 1911 I'd say get a Springfield if you want a cheap US made 1911 that will be okayish. If you want a snake gun I'm not gonna stop you, they're like 33% off in some cases from when they released and I was considering getting a second Python to go with my one that I've shot about 4000 rounds through. At 900 its an upgrade over a 686 performance IMO.
>>
>>64605778
just get it and get a threaded barrel instead, unless you really want to mount a light on it. if you want to mount a dot consider getting an LTT. I have an M9A4 and bought a dlah plate (sits lower than the ridiculously thick beretta plate) and it doesn't fit. turns out that beretta doesn't do the best jobs of making the optics cuts. other than that I love my m9a4.
having said all of that, I guess you wont be able to see over the suppressor with M9/92fs sights and the front sight isnt dovetailed. I know this post is probably disjointed but I've been up all night and can't be bothered to write it better.

The issue I have is that cargo pockets don't work like slant pockets to retain the holster. I only have the anecdotal sample of 2 tho. The OEM Ruger lcp2 holster works, the sticky holster I bought for my CZ does not.
I put things in the pockets above it so the trigger guard is protected by both pockets and the shit in the other one (this also hides the guns outline).
I'd have no problem with buying a holster if I knew for sure it would stay in there, but there's no positive pressure from the cargo pocket to keep it on and out sticks much better to the gun.

Another 270 rounds through the micro 9 today. Thinking I may need to buy replacement recoil springs, Im def over a thousand through and Im noticing a slight sluggishness to the recoil pattern at times and Kimber recommends swapping every 2k. At least its not 500 rounds like some baby 1911s.

The CZ was (if you can believe it) at the time the only small optic ready gun besides Glock. If I had waited a year everyone came out with optic ready shit. I don't even use the optic anymore, it's on my home defence pistol. I don't like them for carry. Extra bulk and point of failure. Great for duty/open carry, but too much bullshit for concealed in NPE.
As far as trans goes, no. I'm hetero, I like my penis attached very much, but I do like colors. Also, these are colors that don't scream "GUN!" if someone should get a peek at them for unforseen reasons.
I also plan to eventually get a bright teal or magenta gun for plausible deniability. If someone accuses me of brandishing, I can say "what color did he say my gun was?" and the odds of him guessing correctly are infinitesimal.

You guys seriously have to lay of the trans thing. It's mostly kikes and poos now. The discord troon thing peaked already.

The APX carry isn’t actually an APX, it’s a refresh of an older design that isn’t that great. The other APX are military/police firearms meant to compete with Glock and Sig, they seem to be competently made and designed. Not much aftermarket.

Depends on which model
I have the OG model, the Toblerone Special, and it's ok for the most part.
It's a decent striker fired gun and it's pretty much Beretta's answer to the Glock.
Would I say it's better than a Glock? not by much, I'd still rather go with a Glock
And I think the P320 (don't drop it lol), VP9, and PDP are better options.

>>
>>64607648
This might come as a shock to you but the Beretta 92 predates Red Dots by at least 30 years
It was never designed for them in mind and were meant to be used with irons
There's M9A4s and LTTs anyway if you still want them, for me, it's all about the sights
>>
>>64607466
I can't compare it to much. I don't shoot as often as I'd like/should. I did get to try the fn 509 and the pdp the other day and I liked those triggers better. I like it more than the p365. I like the really aggressive texture on the subcompact that's sharper than the "c" iirc. I really don't like how CZ fucked up the rear sight design making getting cowitnessing sights impossible to get until I didn't care anymore (2020 problems.) It's a good little gun, but I'd either get it in the not optic model or her a different gun with an optic. It feels very nice for it's size. The trigger was a disappointment after all the p10c "Glock killer" hype but after endless dry fire and taking a green buffing compound cloth to a couple surfaces very, VERY lightly and briefly it smoothed out a bunch. Again, that's not what I bought it for and I only shot a Glock once and that was a 42 or 43 I don't remember.
>>64607514
I got bitched at by the cops for this when they were holding me after drawing on a homeless guy. "Here's your gun back. Don't reload it in public, and you really need to clean the lint out of this thing."
>>
>>64607655
Try out other guns at a rental range some time. Even if your positions on the guns you like doesn't change I think you will have a better appriciation for them after trying the others.

>>64607661
Maybe I should have said I was specifically wanting something to suppress? I like the 92 and don't demand an RDS but the front iron is part of the slide and it's a unique color so I wouldn't want to swap it. Not using a dovetailed front sight but giving it a threaded barrel just seems like an odd choice when they have other versions with optic cutouts and interchangeable front sights.

Thanks, but if the retention is any good that extra corner of kydex isn't going to make a difference. These pockets are huge. It will help orientation maybe but that could honestly rotate in these things. I suppose I could call them and give them the measurements. It's not rocket science to make the bottom 8 inches or whatever.
I'll think about it.

With pistols, I basically only shoot a limited few brands through, none of them are known for tough primers and none of them I have any issues with on any other guns. I shot both Winchester and Scorpio through which I've shot thousands of rounds without issue. Oh yeah and on a fully loaded 20 round PX4 mag the Winchester flat nose wouldn't load the round, so I had to load down to 19.

The Hornady gods even blessed me today with no primer blowouts on their Frontier dogshit. What a Christmas miracle.

I think it's the fact that the p10 is low end. Honestly it's probably for the best. Pistols are for police, not military. Cheaper is better as long as Germany doesn't decide to use it's army as a police force like we did in the sandbox. If I was in charge, I'd run caniks in that bitch, who gives a shit? Even rifles are an afterthought in modern warfare, but at least the enlisted do use them. The only reason to have a pistol is so officers can enforce discipline. You can do that with a fucking single action revolver so long as you keep the rifle ammo locked up and accounted for.

it's because they've been out of production for a while and people know what they got

The only reason to buy an M9A3 is for collections sake
The M9 makes sense because it was the US Armed Forces Handgun and it is a nice alternative to a regular 92FS
The M9A1 is a regular 92FS with a rail
And finally, the M9A4 is pretty much the M9A3 with an OR slide

M9A4 receives the Xtreme-S Trigger Group that's basically like a Langdon Trigger Job in that it lightens the pull and gives it a short reset (licensed trigger bar design from Langdon).

Is there an optics guide?

Even with the improved trigger I'm not as into the idea anymore. I think there's better options for $1,120. It's too big and heavy to carry concealed. It's too expensive for a nightstand gun. It's too vanilla for a competition gun. I'm trying to remember why I wanted it back then. I think it's like when you buy your first guitar. You don't know what you like so you pick out based in how cool the picture looks.

wait, why in the flying hell is Germany switching to a Czech gun when they have HK and Walther right there?

You should have just bought the actually cheap 300 counting shipping and tax Mauser DA90 which takes beretta mags
It’s outperforming the SA-35 at 25 yards despite the SA getting new grips, springs and polishing to lighten trigger pulls and recoil.
I think I’ll sell the SA and keep the Mauser hipower

You've never touched a gun in your life

Is that why the P320 and Shadow 2 reign supreme in CO? Or how a Canik beat even top end 2011s.

Same reason why the swiss went with the P320, because the only thing that matters is price.
