Need ammo reccs for 38 snubby. It seems that 130gr HST JHP would actually expand well when fired out of a short barrel, so naturally they've been discontinued and stock is long gone. All other HP rounds barely expand, if at all, per the testing I've seen. So that leaves wadcutters and LRN. Currently loaded up with 158gr American Eagle until steered in a different direction. Use case is just CCW at the moment, maybe a light woods gun in warmer months (which I assume a hard cast wadcutter would be best for). Thanks /hg/.

Missed the new thread. I have a Glock 45 with the Acro witness cut. I don't feel like doing this again and I want to just swap this on and off a G19 build for when I'm concealing and the G45 for when I'm at the range. Am I accelerating any parts wear by continuously taking things apart?

For a first gun? It's not ideal. Start off by telling us what you want the gun for; home defense, conceal carry, learning to shoot. It's certainly not the WORST gun you can start out with but for a brand new shooter you're probably better off getting something cheaper that fills the same role as you'll need spare cash for ammo, training and a holster. If this is going to be your one and only gun for the foreseeable future, try to go to an indoor range that rents it or a similar gun so you can try it out first.

No it does show that you're acting in bad faith. That's how 4chan works, you only get good interactions when both sides act in good faith. Here you're posting pictures of other people's guns when challenged with the test.

You likely have nothing informative to say since you can't back it up. This is a hobby board, do you actually partake in the hobby.

See that's the thing, H&K is virtually non-existent here (not a burger). Nobody imports or sells anything from them. It's an extremely small niche within an already small niche. I ain't finding a USP anywhere unless I get it myself.

A USP is perfectly cromulent for that in both 9mm or .45 ACP. .40 S&W is a trap

If USPs are rare in your neck of the woods and you happen upon one of these, of course go for it. In the meantime, I'd start building an ammo stockpile and keeping an eye out for spare mags, especially for an HK

He developed the short reset trigger bar that the M9A4 uses, he made his RDO system because Beretta refused to until they begrudgingly added a compromise method, he worked for Beretta for decades going from a phone customer service representative to the head of law enforcement sales. I was just wondering why, like the branding being an issue (I kind of hate the direction they've gone). Get what you want, as I said the M9A4 already has a licensed copy of his trigger bar, the only differences between 92X RDOs and his LTT RDOs is the optic cut realistically, his guns will have a better trigger but some of the 92X RDO examples I've seen have great triggers stock now.

Does anyone have some recommendations for pistols for someone with tiny girl hands? For reference, I wear a women's medium glove and can get a full grip on my Shield 9mm with the flush fit mag. I bought into the Glock Perfection™ meme back when I first started shooting but never learned to like the damn things. It feels like I have to fight with my 19.5 to shoot well with it even though I've used it for years. Meanwhile, my friend let me shoot his VP9 and it immediately felt better than a Glock despite me never having touched one before. You folks have any opinions on the matter? For what it's worth, at the store the VP9, Sig P365XL, and Walther PDP F felt the best in my hand, but I've only been able to shoot the VP9.

I've actually never played with a Shield Plus. My Shield is an older one that I carry when I need something more concealable. That said, I'm more looking for something equivalent to the G19 right now, not something tiny.

>>64644239
Whatever I decide on will be in the compact category. Something to carry under a jacket.

Maybe it's my autism acting up but I worry about getting parts if I need them for a less ubiquitous platform. Any thoughts on parts availability for the VP9 vs the PDP?

Oh yeah, Langdon goes on the trigger warning list with Beretta, Stoger and red dots.

I would say maybe the VP9 might have it better but if you're worried about that buy a Glock instead

Don't have either of those two guns but If you're worried about parts availability, get them ahead of time before you have any issue for any of your guns. Very few places stock any sort of gun parts on their premises and they probably be common glock and AR-15 parts.

That's one of the reasons I bought into Glock years ago. I'm looking to move into guns I actually like now.

Good, but I'm looking for G19 equivalents, so roughly 4" barrel with double digit mag capacity.
>1911
I have one with slim grips and a short trigger. It's nice. Standard 1911s are a bit too chunky for me.

PDP, PPQ or maybe even P99. They all have pretty small grip frames with interchange back straps. People here hate Walther because you don't have to upgrade the trigger immediately to make it worth shooting.
Also, apparently, there is some Bigfoot rare scenario where if you drop it at juuuuust the right angle during high tide and when Congress is in session, you can get a dead trigger. This also applies to the VP9, but not the P99.

You might be SOL
The SA-35 is the closest to that and has a pretty thin grip, almost 1911 level but still has the downsides of the hipower
I tried to improve it by modding my trigger but it’s still not my fav.

Maybe a 365? I saw one and it’s only a little bigger than a PPK

Why don’t you just suck it up and use 20th century guns? The average us soldier was 5’7 a century ago. Old guns can work better in smaller hands
J-Frame sized 44 and PPK are pretty much all I run

Gunko Pops are firearms that have no practical, historical nor sentimental value but are more collectable or have lower round counts than range toys. The most obvious example is a 92FS modeled after the "Samurai's Edge" from the Resident Evil series but also included are things like all the M1911A1 imitations from the Philippines and Turkey

you don't even have 1k rounds fired out of your guns, probably in total. you maybe shoot 100 rounds every 3-4 months.

you're unironically recommending a ppk or a charters arms revolver when the poster is asking for double stack polymer pistols. You claim the poster is "SOL" when there's a billion fucking handguns that meet their criteria, which you have never even shot a glock or any modern pistol but are speaking as if you have any experience with them. You don't know how to even hold a gun and think shooting a pizza box at 7 yards is an achievement
>>

>M1911A1 imitations from the Philippines and Turkey
the Turkish 1911 is on the level of the 1911s the army fielded in Vietnam, is no worse than nucolt, has a good trigger and accuracy, and is no more expensive than a Saturday night special while also being the most one hand friendly duty gun
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5RX5RTQIYNs

It’s an incredibly reasonable choice that 4 out of 5 fuds recommend
>>
>>64644563
I literally have 5000 rounds stocked up and am reloading 44 and nagant so I can practice more
And it’s true. Double stack are fat compared to a 1911. I said the 365 looks good, I guess that and the shield could work good. I said that already. I just don’t really bother with them since I already have a kit that works.
> unironically recommending a ppk or a charters arms revolver
TBF both work very nicely with smaller hands. The former can hide anywhere and the later will kill anything so what’s the harm with considering small frame revolvers?

I've never seen Ben shoot a .45 or .40S&W so I'm not sure if he would have a stronger grip for those, this looks pretty much perfect stance and grip for 9mm though. I think he's probably the best handgun shooter in the world, but I find myself using the shoulder roll technique and Chris Costa/Hayley-esque type compared to Ben's more relaxed stance, I find it helps me personally but to each their own. I've tried shooting more like this but it doesn't seem to help me on larger calibers, I first started on Glocks in 40S&W so I'm used to dealing with more recoil I suppose. 9mm feels like a .22.
>>
>>64644677
> Are a poor choice for carry in the 2020's

I treat the bulldog like a snub 1911. Similar type of recoil and pointing and it won’t glockleg me
> Unless you're doing NRA Precision
I should honestly get into that and cowboy action. Cowboy might tolerate my antics better.
> there are LE trade-in Glocks
With 6lb mushy triggers and a “unique” grip style
That’s not very enjoyable and I want shooting to be enjoyable

Nignogs need to be regulated. The one thing that America unfortunately has a surplus of is nigs. And that very strongly correlates with violent deaths by firearms not including suicides. Niggers have been the absolute worst thing to happen to black people and have set them back for generations to come.

Most of those are justified homicide of muggers and other violent felons.

Btw London is a shithole where every other type of death is elevated vs America and knife crime and robbery are so normal the advice is not to resist.

Also all the Bongo Bongos are leaving their shithole to be refugees elsewhere. You’re probably a Bongo refugee too. If you’re an immigrant you should acclimate to local culture and traditions, not force your thirdy ways on your hosts and in America that means free citizens carrying a Boomstick you primitive screwhead.
>>
>>64644766
>muh knife crime
It's a meme, the murder rate is far still lower than the US

Gun control and the number of deaths and casualties are highly correlated.

Comparing New York City in the United States and London in the United Kingdom, which have nearly identical crime rates and populations:
・In London, with strict gun control, the average annual number of deaths from violent crimes involving firearms is approximately 112.
Conversely, in the United States with looser regulations, the average annual death toll under the same conditions is approximately 391.
(※2023 statistical data)

The fact that the death toll is more than three times higher despite identical crime rates clearly demonstrates how lethal firearms are as weapons.

Even if violent crime rates remain unchanged, strict gun control measures undoubtedly have the effect of preventing an increase in victims.

The “Constitutional” Monarchy of the Bongo actually has the highest violent crime rate in the entire west. It’s now also on the verge of civil war from shitflinging riots.

Your violent crime rate, including rape, robbery and assault is triple that of America. Does acting like a violent criminal in America often result in severe summary punishment (like the guy who ran over a crowd with his car and was immediately shot in revenge)? Yes.

It’s a lot better than being a fat man who goes Ack!
