i have a question about general shooting stuff and this is the best thread for iti've only casually shot guns every now and then, and i've recently realized that there may be something weird about my eyes and perception. basically i read that other shooters tend to have to train themselves not to squint/close their non-dominant eye while aiming, but i've never had to do that. it has always been very natural for me to just aim with both eyes open and observing the field, basically equally. that's cool and all but the real downside is that i sometimes confuse which eye i'm using to look at things. i did not realize i was suffering from that until i fired a BB gun and saw the BBs coming out, and i thought they were flying way off to the right due to confusing my left eyesight with my right one. i think it also makes it kinda hard for me to shoot from a ready position without aiming, because i'm not sure where my barrel is actually pointing. iirc i could not hit SHIT while skeet shooting when going by instruction, but as soon as i switched to a style that was more natural to me, which was basically putting both my eyes above the barrel like in DOOM, i hit all my shotsanyway my question is whether this is actually normal or if i have retarded eyes and if you have any tips for me

Looking for some general tips/advice. I need to shift this lip deeper further forward towards the muzzle in the ID of this tubular Apex Gator Grip rail. I tried measuring the ID using calipers, but I probably should be using bore gauges or the tube isn't very round because I was getting that the lip is anywhere from 0.010" to 0.020" Anyway, the rail currently is ~6.00" long and seems a bit tough to grab/jig up on the other side in a lathe due to both the inner and outer surfaces. I'm concerned about getting it jigged up with minimal runout in order to bore out the rail that small 0.015"-0.030" that I can't even accurately measure. The ID is sorta important I think because of how the rail mounts to the clamps which grab the mil-spec barrel nut.
