>>64883947Ruger Wrangler if you tolerate a revolver
>>64883947Get a Mark IV.
>>64883947The default answer is a Mark IV but 10 rounds cuckpacity in the year of our Lord.I can't really recommend anything else. Everything's got something potentially intolerant or faulty or unworthy. P322 apparently is unreliable. S&W M&P 2&2X mags seem to be a problem (pic related, waiting for S&W response). Walthers are Umarex which is okay but not great. Buckmarks idunno. S&W Victory, again 10 roundsThe TX22 is the ONLY one I can comfortably say to get, and they have problems too (idk if they have stopped putting out crap barrels) but once fixed or if you get a good one out of the gate they're so great
>>64883947Kel-Tec P17, Ruger MkIV Standard or 22/45, Taurus TX22, nothing else new-on-the-shelf is worth your money. People may tell you to buy an Umarex Walther P22, that's the disease in them trying to spread to new victims, do not engage with these people.
>>64883900>what the FUCK is your pointI'm just lamenting that I don't have enough hatred in my heart to be dangerous as a round of 77gr OTM with a suppressed Mk18 Mod 1– at least not yet
I have a 92fs with a fuck huge compensator my buddy sold me but it threads onto the barrel and is held on with a shitty set screw. Should l just rocksett that sucker on there or what?
>>64883978>idk if they have stopped putting out crap barrelsI'm sad to report that they have not. The way they make the TX22 barrels is bad, that's all there is to it. They're button-rifled, which is fine, but Taurus is pulling a dirty Saturday-Night-Special trick to save cash. They start with stock that's way too thin to be button rifled, which gets supported in a jig of sleeves to support the length while the rifling button is driven. This is something that gunsmifs get away with on DIY stuff because they take the time to do it right and they don't keep the rejects. Doing it this way at a production level saves on stock and machine time in exchange for there being one guy whose job it is to slap a barrel in the jig for rifling, and he doesn't get it quite right every time, and the jigs wears out, and the rifling buttons wear quickly, and they end up with a shit-tier hit rate of wavy, chattered, misaligned or otherwise shitty barrels. Fuck you very much, Taurus.
>>64883978Edited picture with more information>>64883998Huh. How did you cum to know this?
>>64883997It's only 9mm, take that shit off
>>64883783>Is this a VP9?Yep, VP9 Stacies stay slaying~
>>64884001Nah it looks fucking cool and it deletes recoil. WHEN I CAN GET IT TO STAY ON.
>>64883997Rocksett is only as tight as the torque you put on, a bit of red locktite (not a lot) will hold it and still be able to come off with heat and some torque Is it a Jarvis comp?
I have bought four used firearms and all of them have all the shit that comes with it if I had bought them new. Stop settling for less
>>64884000Experience and passion for shitty guns. Taurus states openly that they button-rifle the TX22 barrels. The problems I see with TX22 barrels are exactly what I expect from button-rifling at with stock that's too thin, and soft worn-out rifling buttons. I'm willing to bet they start with square stock that's nearly the right dimension to begin with, certainly saves a lot of machine time and it's easier to jig and support square-stock for button rifling. If they started with a piece that was more like 3/4" or 1" they wouldn't need the support jig and they could push the button as a normal machine operation as part of the cutting process, but that means higher material cost, more material to remove, more machine time, more tool wear, and if they don't have good CNC good programmers and the right machines then doing full CNC button rifling is a headache, big setup costs. If they aren't doing this, if they're really starting out thicker and button-rifling them the "right" way, then I don't know how they could get these results. Picture shows issues with jig alignment and mishaps from dull buttons.
>>64884005>deletes recoilAlso deletes ear drums>>64884003Most definitely
>>64884010It looks similar. Blue loctite held it for like 8 mags. I'll post pictures when l get home. I cant really torque it down. Do l need to get washers to shim it or something?
>>64884033Just wear ear pro
>>64884040checked
>>64884038>Do l need to get washers to shim itTypically yes, depends on comp, some designs are fucked up.
>>64884038You can get washers, PMM makes a copy of the Jarvis comp but made for washers. You’ll have to buy like 4 sets of PMM washers to time it properly, I know this because I did this. The alternative is to carefully file a flat on the threaded barrel so the set screw actually has something to hold to. It does not work without a flat.
>>64884032Commercial operations pull the button, not push. The defects you're seeing in those barrels is reamer chatter. They're using dull reamers and not lapping the barrel smooth before rifling.
>>64884032How does Walther and such do it with these pencil thin sleeved barrels? They're significantly thinner even than TX22 barrels and surely they're not starting with 1" blanks and turning away 95% of materialWalthers aren't $200 but they're not THAT much more, and have to go on a boat and pay taxes and import and port fees
>>64884065They might start out thick, I don't remember that part near chamber to be a different piece from the rest of the barrel.
Has anyone shot a gen 6 17 or 45 who also fired their gen 5 equivalents? I'm hearing the gen 6 45s feel close to the gen 5 47s.
>>64884033Its 9mm my guy lots of people shoot with nothing on the barrel and its fine. Not like with rifles where having no muzzle device is a bad idea indoors.
I cleaned it and snuck a cylinder of .44 Special because residential area. I did shoot one Hornady 240 grain Magnum through it and that was a lot of fun. I expected it to hurt a little, but it didn't

I'm thankful that so long as I drive north a bit I can just walk into the woods and shoot. For handguns though my local indoor ranges are 10 or 20/30 minutes away for all 3 and they're bearable, especially because one of them is run by Sig.
>>64884180How heavy is it?I find myself wanting a handnuke
>>64884210>they're bearable >when he means to say unbearable typical low IQ sig hater, never been an original thought in their head
>>64884214Feels hefty but far from intolerable. It's about the same as a Glock 17 with a full mag, reflex sight, and light
>>64884216Come again? I think you crossed some wires in your head when you posted that. The Sig indoor range is really nice since they can afford actual air circulation systems that can handle full auto rifle fire.
>>64884216Is a 450$ trade in p239 worth it?I’m looking for a Makarov spiritual successor
>>64883996The standard combat draw and fire even from concealment is so much faster to come out and put rounds on target than sport shooting. It's two different worlds. This makes the point very well. Even a high level sport shooter using the competition draw and fire is slower to put rounds on target than the average guntube operator using a combat draw.
>>64884224are they rare or something? that's pretty expensive. I'd get the P320 RXP trade in on AIM or just get a P365

>>64884405Fuck forgot picture
>>64884408looks like shit even without the >READ MANUAL FOR SAFE USEberettafags keep losing
>>64884408Ooh, that looks like a Jarvis but custom made. The only other people that do flat (not bull nose) is Mountain customs but I could never figure out how to order from them. Barrel looks .575-40 threaded or similar since it’s not the standard 1/2-28 threaded length. PMM shims will work. You probably don’t need 4 sets like I do to time on a 1/2-28 barrel.
>>64884419Right on man thank you
>>64884432Actually, PMM shims are made for 1/2-28 size, the might not be big enough to slide into .575 threads. If I remember when I get home I’ll measure the ID of a PMM shim Otherwise they won’t slide on. I don’t know where you’ll be able to get other shims
>>64884237>get the P320 RXPAre you trying to get my balls shot off? I’d only get it once it’s 100$ and retrofit it with the aftermarket safety kit as a project gun. Also I need something Makarov sized. A full sized/compact 9 is too big.>>64884274And you genuinely mean it and aren’t trust tricking me into something that’ll hurt, right?
>>64884476For you the smart option would be a 365 with a manual safety, the safety on the 365 physically makes the gun inert. You can get +2 capacity on 10 round flush or 12 round mags as well. Its also about 1 inch wide so basically the same width as most smaller pistols.
>>64884483I guessI have a preference for DA/SA but if I find a 365 for $300 with a safety, I guess. It’s It’d be used in a biathalon you run and then do marksman shots so idk if the trigger would hold back but whatever
>>64884526There are like maybe three shooters in /hg/ that actually compete and the trigger would actually matter
>>64884483>safety on the 365 physically makes the gun inertBaka ass mofo, it's just a trigger blocker like every other striker firedanual safety gun on the market. Nobody makes sear or striker blocking safeties because they're almost as gay as the poster you replied to
>>64884526Most strikers like the 365 may be mushy but their overall break is smooth, if you are fine with a revolver's DA pull you'll have no problem with a striker. When you're shooting at self defense distances a smooth trigger pull in a gun you can point is going to matter more than a quick wall break.

>>64884651They’re always been going off, they originally weren’t drop safe and the Army found out the hard way when someone dropped a loaded one
>>64884667Also the reason why was something people figured out like over 100 years ago, don’t allow inertia to pull the trigger when dropped muzzle up

>>64884848if its the "match" hammer that beretta sells it basically removes basically all the slop from the single action pull.Knowing Wilson Combat, it could be absolutely nothing but a rebrand.
>>64884878It’s an old part. Like back when Wilson Combat Berettas were new and the hottest shit. Back when Langdon worked for Wilson Combat as their Beretta advisor, so basically the same as stock or the elite II
>>64884825Vertec grip is superior, Langdon thinks so, that’s why the new Elite II is a Vertec

>>64884608kek
>>64884792This is a bit risky because it's definitely worth that much, if it's a good gun. Like, no malfunctions, acceptable accuracy, no weird shit. You usually don't get to test fire in these deals.

>>64884651>>64884671Not only did it lack drop safety, there was no disconnector either so the P320 could be fired with the slide unlocked! When they updated the fire control with hundred-year-old technology, it was marketed as a "voluntary upgrade"

>>64885363FMJ would penetrate deeper
>>64885365Hmm idk dawg. Everywhere you look online, the consensus is that Hydra-Shok Deep is the best 380 round to carry.
>>64885368Your chart shows it’s a terrible performing JHP penetrating 25 inches, FBI standards is 12-18 inches, anything more is over penetration and not desired. At .35-.360 it has virtually no expansion, making it little better than a FMJ.
>>64885370I guess I should also point out that chart is the older 90 grain version. The 99 grain Hydra-Shok deep uses a redesigned conical post that is more reliable at initiating expansion through barriers. FMJ will zip right through someone and into a bystander. Hydra-Shok deep gives you the reliability of an FMJ through heavy clothing with the stopping power and safety of a hollow point.

>>64885222The plastic boxes can't be flattened though. They're nice for a carry case but if you cycle through your carry ammo and buy in bulk the cardboard is simply more convenient. Personally If they'd charge even less for a plain cardboard box with black ink I'd buy that every time as these multi color glossy boxes and stickers actually do cost quite a bit.

If thinking a gun is cool makes you carry it more AND you train AND you maintain it, then I'll allow it without reservations. But too many people's "I think this gun is cool" bleeds into "if I own it then I'm cool" which is rarely the case.
>>64885738>But too many people's "I think this gun is cool" bleeds into "if I own it then I'm cool" which is rarely the caseThats my main point too. I think everyone here can name at least one person here who operates by that logic.

>>6488564912-18 inches in gel roughly translates to the ability to punch through a torso at most angles while losing most of its energy to minimize over penetration and danger to bystanders. This is optimal performance. Less penetration like 8-12 means you might not be able to penetrate and hit vital organs at certain angles. But depending on if you believe an expanding hollow point does more damage than round ball, it’s probably preferable than a FMJ going 25. I would rather use expanding JHPs in the 10-12 range if I was a gay faggot who has a .380, I carry a .45 or double stack 9
I have a confession about my heresy, I carry 45 ball. 45 hollow points have the same exact issue as 380 - they move slowly and either don't expand, or cost a lot. 230 grain ball penetrates through ludicrous amount of flesh, and it's about the size of fully mushroomed 9mm hollow point.

>>64886302If the frame is the same as a .45 M&P, and one were to get a fully supported chamber on a .45 barrel and a 24lbs spring, could an M&P shoot .45 Super?
>>64886366All .45 ACPs can shoot .45 Super, .45 Super was designed to convert a standard .45 1911 or other gun. You’d obviously need a stronger recoil spring.
>>64886302I was thinking of getting some Buffalo Bore 9mm and .357 Magnum. Now that I have a revolver I want to see what it likes best
>>64886366I don't have a M&P 45 but the 10mm is the same size as the 9mm. The length of pull on the grip is slightly longer for the mags. Looking at the internals I don't even think there is a difference with the trigger apart from the trigger bar.The 10mm is less chunky than a Glock for sure. Said boomer claimed that the M&P 10mm might need a stronger recoil spring to cycle higher pressure stuff so I'd imagine it's similar for the 45 like >>64886384 says
>>64886462He doesn't like buffalo bore specifically because he had multiple .357 cases explode, and .44 squibs. Basically that old ass buffalo boomer was trying to kill him. Underwood should be a good alternative.
>>64886466I missed out on Underwood's President's Day sale sadly but I'll keep an eye out for next time. I usually carry 124 gr Speer Gold Dot in my 9mm for CC but I was interested in trying something hotter/heavier. For .357, I'm interested to see what the limits I can handle and still make follow up shots
>>64886463>10mm is the same size as the 9mmThat's nice but also sounds a bit sketchy compared to how Glock had to overbuild 20/21/40 compared to 9mm.
>>64886478What’s a few more mm of polymer going to do
>>64886483Oh no no, 20/21/40 have the slide itself beefed up, and the entire chamber, square area of the barrel is much thicker too. Then glock kind of shit themselves because they ship barrels with poor support that leave cases bulged and fucked up, but the slide is pdp tier huge.
>>64886526>>64886483If anything, the more I look at modern gun design, more I am convinced that the slide itself is the gun. It barely even needs the frame to fire. The frame is there just to pull striker back and release it, like a nail in a zip gun. Oh, and for feeding the next round.
People who don't understand chamber support shouldn't opine on the matter.
>>64886526>>64886532Which is why I asked, the M&P was designed around shooting .40 S&W and doesn’t need to be beefed up
>>64886477Yeah I carry underwood 817 in my carry. Seems to run reliably.>>64886478It does but seemingly is fine. You wouldn't believe how thin the slide rails are. I looked it up given how much smaller it was compared to Glock and lots of people were claiming they shoot high pressure rounds just fine. One thing other than chamber support that I think matters is that the diameter is bigger so the higher pressure is also spread out more vs 9mm.
>>64886466Underwood copies buffalo bore loads. You might be too young to remember but when Underwood tried to do r and d by themselves w bunch of 10mms blew up. Underwood is a joke.
>>64886478He's just plainly wrong. The 10mm M&P is listed at 1.3 inches thick, whereas the 9mm M&P is 1.13 inches.
>>64886581He literally posted him putting a 9mm and 10mm M&P into the same kydex holster It sounds like you’re taking width that included the safety lever with one that does not have a safety lever
>>64886581He has the gun, I would rather question spec sheet number
>>64880630>>politically aligned with groypersExplain?
>>64886588no>>64886597Okay, have him take a head-on or top down picture of the slides, side by side.
>>64886012I got a Dan Wesson and honestly wasn't impressed. Does it run? yea. Is it good quality? yea. Do I like it better than my Staccato? nah. Call me a zoomer or whatever ill take a stock G17 any day. I actually shoot though, so yea. But the Dan Wesson is extremely accurate, probably my most accurate handgun, I got it on sale but in no way would I pay fucking 2600-2800 or whatever gay asking price they want these days for an optics ready. I got the OR in black in 45 btw.

>>64886607This might be a hot take but I feel like everyone's first gun should be something stupidly simple like a stock Glock or M&P. It's better to learn on something that doesn't shoot for you and you'll have a greater appreciation when you do get a Les Baer or Korth or whatever eventually
>>64886663first gun should always be a feels gun because you're not going to be talked out of it anyway. buy a fucking COP 357.
>>64886663I feel like it's a big secret in the gun cummunity that 1911s are this amazing gun, it's a fucking 100+ year design and never was amazing.Same with suppressors, people wanna suppress everything then realize unless they're running a flow through they are getting shit to the face, beating the shit out of their parts for little value when target shooting, blah blah.I just hate the gunsoomer bullshit, when I see some fag on IG with a lever gun tricked out with a bunch of shit on it. They don't realize what's gud is a stock glock with a red dot, a quality AR with a light, LAM, red dot, good mags, and NODs and a thermal.
>>64886663first gun should be a .22 revolver or a glock 19 if you are a recently battered woman
>>64886669>1911 was never amazing
>>64886669I feel like a lever can be useful in cuck states where ARs are overregulated.
>>64886675>grip angle wrong>bore axis high>magazine single stack>hammer spring housing>caliber not powerful enough/too large>grip safetythe 1911 must be modified to be good

>>64886667I feel like a feels gun should be after you've become proficient with an actual EDC. >>64886669I respect 1911s and I've shot some really nice ones but they don't spark joy. I totally understand why people love them thoughAs much as gunsoomers are annoying, they DO keep cash flowing into the lobby which helps keeps some prices down for the rest of us
>>64886685>no>no>I don’t consider the 2011 a different gun since most of the parts are the same >how is the hammer spring being captive a bad thing >you’re gay>inertia drop safety is bad?
>>64886687My Wehrmacht gunshttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K2BU-qqzi30>>64886691I wanted a Mauser so it was one of my first and mine was glitchy. So it stayed semi mothballed till I became a competent armorer and then I tore it down, replaced the springs and polished fit the non matching mag plate (someone carelessly took from another broom) to fit mine. Now it’s running good and even got competent at shooting it.Which is hard since it’s zeroed for 50 meters to 1000. I’m now turning 223 into Mauser brass and reloading. Might put a silver bead attop front sight and rock gun contests with it.

>>64886815Have no idea what you’re talking about schizoI merely posted a target of yours, if you’re telling me you were shooting with a rifle in a pistol range with those groups that makes it worse
>>64886833You called those 45 ACP, noguns. Which you did admit. Also this is America (not for you), a man has the right to magdump his high capacity rifle That is the feeling of freedom.
>>64886812>>64886802I'm not a 1911 fanboy or a 1911 hater. But the only 1911s I've fired that actually run reliably are shitty old GI-spec pistols that rattle when shaken. The tuned up race guns with crisp triggers and cunt-hair spec tolerances jam constantly. While those are accurate they suffer from a host of other issues, mainly dogshit reliability and insane drop safety issues that make p320s look impressive by comparison. And while it's not objectively relevant, modern 1911s and 2011s usually look like hot garbage, clearly styled to appeal to the braindead mallninja crowd that listens to mil-influencer podcasts.
>>64886581>>64886605Slide is same thickness bro idk what to tell you how would they both fit in the same holster. I'll take some pics shortly. Probably measuring the grip which isn't indexed on a holster. You can also see that the optic plate, for a 9mm, fits exactly on the 10mm.

>>64886581>>64886605>>64886849I'm too lazy to upload these nothingburger pics right now. They are the same width on the slide, trigger guard, grip. The mags are the same width, only the 10mm is slightly longer. The slides both fit on the wrong frames, but the dimensions are slightly different with the length of pull like I said. This makes the 10mm jut out at the back and the 9mm ends before the end of the frame. The 9mm locking block has longer rails. They still work but I bet they will both light strike. The 10mm it definitely sounds different like it's hitting way too soon.

>>64886878You have the grouping of a epileptic woman shooting a sawed of 12 gauge From that distance from that distance I can make one hole with an 1858 for fucks sake.
>>64885909Hasn't been true since the 90s. Good 230gr JHPs like the 230gr HST are very reliable performers and better than most 147gr 9mm loads in that respect. Comparing them to .380 JHPs is laughable.>>64886010It's maybe 50fps slower than 147gr 9mm and 180gr .40 S&w, both extremely ubiquitous and undeniably well performing loads.
>>64887008When all the "best" expanding ammo is designed to operate as asked it 100% comes down to diameter. They ALL are designed to stop inside the same narrow window. Right about 15 inches in gel. That means they will all perform roughly the same as each other (not the same in humans as gel, but the same as each other on humans) when it comes to depth achieved. The only real significant difference is the edges and overall diameter. The sharpest largest diameter will cause the most blood loss. Frankly one would be better off using hard cast flat nose for self defense. In and out. Doesn't matter what it hits in the body it's making one hole all the way through.

>>64887365Because he has been doing things with his right hand his entire life. And it's most likely his right eye he now can't see out of is dominant. People should shoot both eyes open to begin with. That said if his right eye is fuzzy and still the dominant eye he will be crossing the plane of dominance while in motion. It's very much like putting a straw in a glass of water. Try it. It's quite wonky when trying to aim. However he can still use his right eye and right hand completely normally if he shoots both eyes open. The eye he has been using his whole life will put him on target faster, and his non dominant will "clear up the picture". >Switching from pistol to rifleIron both eyes should be open anyway. Stop replying to the womanly faggot. This is what he does, ropes you into his faggotry. All because the retard is just bored.
What exactly makes flicking the cylinder open/closed bad? I'm not doing it to my gun out of simple caution at this point. I'm guessing it has something to do with torquing the crane in directions it wasn't meant to?
>>64887423For garbage potmetal revolvers, doing that can damage the sylinder. For litterally every other revolver it does nothing
>>64884585I'm the anon you replied to, I can't tell you since my new Model 69 is the only big bore revolver I've ever shot, but if I felt fine strongarming full-house Hornady loads with zero preparation or experience I'm sure the 329 can't be that bad. Can anyone confirm?
>>64887423The hand and notches that holds the cylinder in position is fragile. It’s not designed to stop a fully loaded cylinder slamming into it with the force of 1000 speds.
>>6488743069 is all steel, I felt it easy to shoot but I have the 4.2 inch
>>64887431Alright, I'm gonna stick to not doing it
>>64887434Yeah and I have the 2.75, which I think somewhat offsets it being a third heavier than the 329. It's probably middle of the road between those two. A big bore magnum any way
>>64887436Don’t take it from me, Jerry Miculek or whatever, says to absolutely not do it. He’s seen revolvers put out of action doing it in competition since people thought it was faster, he wouldn’t even do it as a demonstration. Revolvers are a precision machine, they are absolutely reliable as long as they stay within their designed limits.
>>64887453I did do it exactly once to see how it feels, but knowing that, no more
>>64887459It may take a lot of repetitions but doing it with a fully loaded cylinder with heavy grain bullets it’ll do it
>>64887378 No wait, I’m a fucking retard. But anyways, they also say it can’t handle a steady 357 diet. And it’s much too big for a 38. If a cheap 44 goes out of time no big. Thats a collectible
>>64887395fellow jared enjoyer>>64887407the French have you covered. More accurate than a masterpiece and magnum capable>>64887411I think im just confused about the situation.>>64887423it will increase wear on the little notches on the cylinder. also it can wear out the crane retention screw>>64887450I think I may have to get one. I don't feel like my 340pd is one shot stop capable. Ive heard the 329 is the only gun worse than the 340. Also it would be funny to use it in BUG-r for IDPA
>>64887489sorry forgot image >>64887407
>>64887369>under 9 secondsThat would require an average split time of less than 0.50s to accomplish in 18+1 rounds. If that's possible with a stock, 5.5lb trigger then I've never seen it done before>>64887371>>64887380You had better not be referring to me as one of those two>>64887378>each volleyAll my targets are capacity maxxed>can’t tell from looking at yoursIn this example, the first five rounds were at the upper A-zone and the rest lower A-zone. I'm flinching terribly :v
>>64887497I didnt mean at 50 yards. .5 second splits is very doable on a glock. thats basically every uspsa double tap. >>64887494apparently it won't upload. Its an mr73
>>64887423Unless you're whipping it closed with all your might, absolutely nothing is wrong with it. I used to believe that myth too when I was inexperienced, but in a fast reload, I'm putting more force into the cylinder with my thumb than it's receiving with a normal flip closed. When you close a revolver cylinder (at least on S&Ws and Rugers), the first metal-on-metal contact is at the rear locking lug hitting the recoil shield before it's depressed into the cylinder. If I flip a cylinder closed in a non-caveman way, that locking lug dampens some of the momentum of the cylinder before it fully closes and more metal contacts. But if I'm doing a normal reload, I'm applying force to the cylinder or crane through the entire process, the momentum is not slowed at all, and I'm actually shutting it harder than I would with a flip. Bonus points if I go too fast on the normal reload and the cylinder was rotating slightly when I close it.Don't pay any attention to parroted ideas about hands being fragile and deforming, because on S&Ws and most Rugers, the hand never protrudes out of the frame when at rest, so there is zero contact between it and the cylinder star when you are closing the cylinder in any manner. Guns are not fragile. Shoot the hell out of them and life is too short to not have a little fun.
>>64887504>.5 second splitsAt seven yards? Yeah, that's reasonable– I'll attempt it next range trip
>>64887497This is why I don’t want a Glock style fire control. The trigger is just long and heavy enough to worsen my accuracy.>flinchMaybe you can put a stronger recoil spring on. That stops the kick pretty good. It’s not quite a flinch for me (usually) but I get shakes after several 44 cylinders. Only thing that stops it is taking a break with a powder puff.Tangential but reloading is awesome since now I can shoot rare cartridges without hesitation >>64887512Mine isn’t out of time at all but I see wear marks on my crane.bought a spare just in case.A little J frame sized gun with huge bullets absolutely will get fucked up
>>64887520>The trigger is just long and heavy enough to worsen my accuracy.>uses da/sawhat a useless fucking retard
>>64887523> >uses da/sa>shoots SA whenever taking precise shots >carries safety off DA so if someone jumps me I can get a quick shotSeriously. There’s a reason militaries liked that actionAlso you’re angrier than usual, idk why.

Looking into getting a micro 9, been carrying a P2000SK for a little over a year. Does the job but I've found it a bit chunky, would like to give something slimmer a try especially since it's warming up already. Local shop has a used P365 for $400 and a new CC9 on sale for $560. Should I just grab the 365 and use the money saved for a holster/ammo/mags or is the CC9 worth the extra cost?
>>64887616If I had to get a micro 9, I'd get the M&P Shield Plushttps://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/shield%20plus
wild how the twink complains that red dots are like cheating, and yet also insists on having a hair trigger, because a 5.5 lb pull is apparently too heavy
>>64887616How bad is the 365, can you reuse the slide, is it right size and cut?
>>64887649sensitive fingies
>>64887588It may as well be with how little gets made nowadays. I also made gas sealing nagant. And turning 223 into 30 Mauser is next.>>64887614Definitely If I wanted to cheat I’d load up on gabapentin but what’s the point when I want practice >>64887649>get a dot (hurts carry)>still keep a crappy trigger I don’t get it. Good trigger doesn’t hurt pocketability of gun.And I admit red dots are superior when it comes to accuracy/precission. That’s why the p239/p365 biathlon gun saga started.
>>64887670If you dress like Paul Harrell then I suppose pocket carry would be optimal
>>64887670>get a dot (hurts carry)It doesn't really hurt carry that much, at least for iwb. Extending magazine by the red dot height would be dramatically worse, even though both technically contribute to the same height dimension.
>>64887685I do
>>64887685Hey pastebin, you’re reminding everyone why everyone fucking hates youCan you and ppanon just exchange contact information so you don’t have to hang out here and flirt with him?
>>64887512the prohibition is mostly against spinning it and then whipping it closed. when you speed reload and use your hand, you are also stopping it with the other side of your hand once it is seated, but when you whip it all the force is in the crane, cylinder lock and cylinder pin. I still think it should be find as long as the cylinder isnt spinning. >>64887520if a glock trigger, especially gen 5+, worsens your accuracy, you didnt have any to begin with.
>>64887670>hurts carryno it doesn't

Are these Remington 1911s any good? I was gonna get a Springfield, but then I saw this guy in 9mm. It has real actual finish for actual use, not bluing or some bullshit, and it also has a checkered frontstrap and the sights I want. I figure I could just slap a magwell on it, maybe work the trigger, get some good magazines, and I'm ready to play IPSC Classic.
>>64888116I don’t know, Remington bought Para Ordnance and I can see it in the slide serrations but Remington had that cerberus group shit that tanked all quality across their product lines.
>>64887870I can tell pastebin and ppanon apart
>>64888286They are different people?
>>64884613I was shocked to find out that this was true, making the p365 the only striker fired gun on the market with a non-retarded manual safety. Unfortunately my research also revealed that the firing pin block(really striker in this case) is particularly retarded, and interacts with the striker lug in the same area as the manual safety as opposed to your typical plunger designs bringing the system back to a singular point of failure. Nobody can competently design manual safety using striker fired gun. I'm not even saying I want one, it's just concerning.

>>64887870Not me retard. You do have a simp’s mentality.>officer school Are you retarded or do you not know how it works in America (you probably don’t since you thought 223 was 45).Direct commissions (mostly just doctors) aren’t through officer candidate school. It’s much like applying to a big job with a long wait. I’ve spent the mean time doing cardio and working in my profession since by now I can safely pass the physical and also they count post graduate work in your field as T&E.
>>64887017Not really sure what you're trying to say with the first half of the post as it isn't really relevant to what I said. There's a pretty serious amount of difference in performance across even the top tier brands of JHPs. A 147gr +p hat will have meaningfully different penetration characteristics versus a 135gr critical duty for instance. That doesn't even get into comparing something like a 155gr .40 S&W load or 185gr +p .45 acp load and a lower velocity heavy for caliber minimally expanding load.>Frankly one would be better off using hard cast flat nose for self defense. In and out. Doesn't matter what it hits in the body it's making one hole all the way through.Nothing you said supports that and it's a dumb idea. Humans aren't homogenous blocks. Exit wounds have effectively no value in self defense situations due to this thing called the abdomenothoracic cavity. A HP that expands more and bottoms out in the back skin of a perp is more better than a war cutter that punches through it.You're making an entirely different argument than I responded to in the first place anyways which I will take as an admission of you being incorrect.
