There aren't and they wouldn't anyway. It's inherent to any closed group, it's logically selective, they would be predatory in any relevant situation and seek out pretenses for violence. Again, just inherently antisocial so I reject this idea of "community defense" as the primary reason for these subhumans liking their firesticks but it is the lie they tell themselves. The closest thing to a truth might be they would like community offense, but that would force them to admit intentions they're too cowardly to profess so they position themselves to react in certain ways.

I would argue the AR-15 is the quintessential American rifle but for all the reasons they hate America. Whereas I love every single aspect of the ar-15 and the philosophy of its design

every day I think about internal pistons and inline recoil springs and I get so horny for the platform. That's why PB is the best, he's the only REAL NIGGA that truly "appreciates" the AR-15 platform in the artistic, philosophical, practical, and historical sense.

To understand firearms is to understand history, which is written in material and materiel. Those that don't operate within those constraints are doomed whether they know it or not. They will be left behind, while we AR-15 on Mars, Io, and beyond

Recommend me a good optic for my 10/22 takedown
It's a 22 so it doesn't have to be amazing, and it's a takedown so it's even less accurate. I just want something to be accurate enough to hit a squirrel consistently at 25 yards even if I drop it.

18" chrome lined Criterion in regular rotation since 2018, my opinion is that the hype is real on those. Cartridge is 68gr Hornady BTHP sitting on 26.0gr of Varget with a CCI small magnum primer. Brass is whatever I have handy. Velocity settles in right around 2935-2950, single digit SDs.

I have a 11.5" DRT that looked great at first but upon closer inspection is messed up. Different wall thicknesses all around when measured at the front of the rail. The machining is def a step down from say BCM. The finish looks nice though and it feels solid enough. The wall thickness thing hurt my confidence in it so it currently sits on a 9mm blowback ar, which seems fine.

Lower for chink tubes as they have always had a longevity issue.
>Quantify
20k gain best case scenario for highest spec LinduNV tubes vs 40-80k. With most modern tubes sitting 50k+ . L3 "Supergain" pushing >100k

>Quantify further
https://www.nv-intl.com/wiki/index.php/Gain
Keep in mind the chinks (and photonis) are using metric so convert the shitty gen2+ tubes to proper measurements for a comparison. The chinks suffer from, lower specs in most other places as well.

Last thread you sent an anon a pair of 9000 gain 1400fom tubes. Fuck all the way off with that.
> this factors into why Gen 2+ WP > Gen 3 GP.
Nope.
Surrendering your bino performance to lay on thermal is not going to exist until thermal units are ubiquitous and seamlessly integrated. None of that in anons price range nor yours.

Chink tubes are nearing omni performance levels, but they won't export the better tubes and they still suffer from a shorter lifetime relative to L3 et al
>>

What if I told you a 1/3x option exists and it's literally just a red dot magnifier
>>
>>64929955
3000hrs average vs +10k hours is indeed a pretty big difference. ~300x 10hr ops vs 1000x 10hr ops... BUT that isn't a fair comparison in this context because at the prices we're considering you're not getting brand new Gen 3 tubes... They're going to be used. How much? Hard to say, but lets just say they're at 50% lifetime, now we're comparing new 3000hrs Gen 2 vs used 5000hrs gen 3? I would call that a tossup effectively.
>vs 40-80k
Document says ~20k uA/lm vs 30k-50k for Gen 2 vs Gen 3. And there is a reason why FOM is called the figure of merit. High sensitivity systems are useless if they're swamped by noise. High response/sensitivity systems are just as high response/sensitivity to noise as they are signal, which is why SNR is the important factor.
Bench racing a factor of 2x in sensitivity isn't the correct way to analyze this. I think FOM and subjective user experience are. And having looked through shitty omni 5, 6, 7 GP binos next to Jerry 31 or w.e WP Gen 2+ in a DARK environment (0% moon, way out in the sticks) I know which I would take given a $1500-$2500 price differential.
>so I can buy GP Omni 8 binos
I mean yeah if you manage to get someone down to like $4k or something then yes that outperforms the $3750 Gen 2+ WP but I'm specifically contending in my argument that we're considering the reasonable hypothetical that the price difference is NOT $250 but more like $1000-$3000 depending, AND I've not made this totally clear but I'm also arguing from the perspective that at a human level there are tons of people that simply don't want to spend $4-$5k and get green tubes because of bias/drip/assumptions and I rather they get Gen 2+ WP than nothing at all.

The factor of 3x lifetime is a pretty solid issue though, but I just

>>64930201
They're solid, the MCMR and QRF won't disappoint in terms of function, but they're not the most aesthetic choices on the market. Some would say they've been made obsolete by the their new raider rail if your build needs a 10" or 13" handguard. Personally I find KAC, centurion, and g$ more attractive, but you could argue that BCM beats them pound-for-pound in terms of price.

It's not really that much work famb, you literally just need a vice, torque wrench, reaction rod, and some aeroshell, then you have the bonus of being set up to work on your guns forever, replace clapped out barrels, change muzzle devices, disassemble for deep cleaning, etc. If you like AR-15s enough to post in this general, you should consider it.

https://www.primaryarms.com/midwest-industries-upper-receiver-rod?quantity=1&custcol_pco=Orphan
Aeroshell is just grease, you can buy a can on Amazon for like $10.
You can do it brother, I believe in you.
>>
>>64930287
The only downside with DIY superduty is you don't get the anti-rotation notch in the rail and the slot for it in the upper. Probably doesn't matter that much, but it's one thing to consider.
>>
>>64930363
True…
>>64930370
Yeah you’re right it’s a good idea to have, if nothing else than for future replacements/maintenance. My tentative game plan rn is get a urgi and switch barrels to a taper profile or socom profile if I ever need to use the rifle seriously or if I wear out the barrel. That or just get a DD block 2 and be done with it, I really can’t decide
>>64930386
That’s another thing I don’t like, not only is it two-tone but the handguard is different and can’t be used with other uppers like the urgi can. Not the biggest deal but just one more complaint I have
>>
>>64930393
My new(ish) superduty has the same ano on the upper and the rail, I just found that pic on the internet, no idea why they are diff colors here, probably a DIYer who managed to get the superduty upper and rail seperately.

Entirely situational, depends how long the barrel of the AR was, what distance engagements would most likely be, and if I had a sidearm.
If i had to pick blindly I'd get the T2 because it doesn't actively hinder you for cqb and could probably get hits out to 2-300 yds if you practice, but cog does actively hinder cqb.

I you want FRT fun just know that the ELWs will heat up (so I've heard). When I was mag dumping with a suppressor >>64933326 , my BFH upper had no problems and the rifle only has some heft because of all the bullshit I have on it. GPR = Lift weights.

Yeah BCM seems like a solid choice, the only concerns for me would be like durability, especially the mcmr rails

Maybe, it does have all the nice modern shit like better barrel profile, free floated, and they can take abuse. Plus it’s DD for a great price

>>64936320
They make them out of 6061-T6 aluminum, you'd have to use a hydralic press or a tank to bend the rail. 6061-T6 aluminum is used in marine, areospace, auto parts, etc. Think you'll be safe.
>>
>>64936374
A little more reassuring thank you lmao, but then that begs the question, what was going on with the geissele rails for them to get the bendy reputation that not even the thinner mcmr ones got?
>>
>>64936374
6061 is chinesium tier, good rails are made out of 7000 series aluminum

Looking into it, something about a stress test on a MK16 rail which people blamed on >>64936396
and the construction of the rail itself. Certain stress points weakened the rail and allowed it to bend much easier. G$ then redesigned the rail and went with 7000 to cover their ass and avoid any further Bendy Bill allegations. But I'll be honest I havent experience any rail flex or seen rail flex with a BCM, but please if any anon has a picture or post to share of a fucked up BCM upper lmk. I dont want to speak falsities.

That’s fair man thank you, deliberating between this and the block II then, I’ll just have to pick weight vs better barrel and see which I value more
>>64936437
I mean under 50y with either ball ammo isn’t fine imo. Like they need better rounds just to have similar performance to what a 14.5” does with regular ball ammo. And I do agree about the can, but in my experience a regular block one m4 with can is still a fairly handy and light setup. Not AS light or handy, sure, but idk if I’d be willing to sacrifice that much barrel, if that makes sense

I want a 20 inch upper for the novelty of it but I don't want it to be dog water quality. Who makes good complete uppers? I'm thinking about buying an FN M16 one or a stripped Ballistic Advantage. Not sure whether or not I actually want a FSB on it or not
>>
>>64936976
I have a windham one and it’s pretty decent, chrome lined and all, shoots about 2moa, not bad at all. I imagine the FN would be much nicer, or maybe an HBAR because fuck govt profile

Seems like it's awkward to have a piece of it just sticking off.

>>
>>64937181
It's supposed to angle the grip/mag away from your body when stored, I don't like it. Sig makes a similar mount but it's even more lowpro. Oh and DD also makes a good rail mount qd.
