The US army is canceling the deployment of 4,000 troops to Poland. According to the article it's because the Army National Guard used up too much money when deployed to DC and the southern border, but this sounds like BS. 5,000 troops are being withdrawn from Germany as well, reducing US presence in Europe to levels prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. What is /k/, thinking about this? Personally, I think having such a massive army presence to deter Russia is pointless, because it's not the cold war anymore. Those troops would be more useful in Asia, the Middle East, or the Americas where the US actually needs to project power.
