It has nothing to do with NDs nor do they even do all that much for NDs. Even without NVGs a ND is visible through all these caps. Civilian ownership of NVGs is decoupled from light covers because vis light NDs under a cover are still bright as shit.

Very rear increases your site radius which is good, but probably negligible compared to the 2nd to last slot. I have an arisaka inline scour pro mount for the 11.5 but in order to get it flush with the front of the rail, it has to go on over the gas block. Would it be better to place it 1 slot back to keep it over the rail or shouild I put it 1 slot forward as a cantilever over the suppressor? It is the triangle design so it shouldn't bend easily
