Is this that pick me slime girl?

My Wilson combat Elite Professional extractor sheared the claw off. I’ve put maybe 3-4k rounds through it and the previous owner must have put a lot more than that.

Bill Wilson has finally let me down.

I've got picrel and a 92fs.
What should I get next? Doing a rifle bundle next week but after that on my list is either a G17 or one of those Beretta M92A4 in lunar overland blue, just because.

They got their start as a 1911 part company, most famous for their magazines, then custom 1911s, and they then started building their own 1911s. Interesting enough is that they were originally jeweler/watch makers.
>Wilson Combat was founded in 1977 by Bill Wilson in Berryville, Arkansas. Operating initially out of the back of his father's jewelry store, the avid shooter and trained watchmaker began customizing revolvers and Colt 1911 pistols before expanding into full in-house manufacturing of high-performance firearms, parts, and accessories.

They got super big, corporate, acquired other companies. Lost their way, ar-15 parts, bolt guns, shot guns, p365s and p320s, they never made 2011s but tried to make their own pattern of double stack 1911 but they DONT have 1911 ergos so people never really liked them. There has been some return to form. They bought Guncrafter Industries, another big name 1911 custom shop, to prevent it from going out of business.
>>
>>65427868
Oh and one more thing: get a .357 revolver, like a 686, Python, or GP100
>>
>>65427875
>What does Wilson combat even do?
They are started as a semi-custom 1911 shop, but then they expanded, and bought up other shops like Scattergun Technologies. Now they don't do anything particularly well and do some things extremely poorly. The yellow-fever 1911/2011 anon seems happy with his Wilson(s) though.

bwahaha no, granted the only guns I would want with an optic are a M9A4 and Glock 19 Gen 6, guns that I don't own, yet.

Just out of curiosity, I watched a little of her videos. She does the typical vtumor shtick of feigning ignorance and incompetence to jerk off her retard audience. She bought a Staccato HD, but doesn't know what a "two eleven" (2011) is. Constant 'I'm such a small weak widdle girl, and everything is too big for me.' You have to be seriously low IQ to watch that shit.
>>
>>65427931
That's a good list of soon-to-buys.
My FFL has a .22 target model. It's tempting, but at $800 and 21.5% tax, it's a tough sell.
>>
>>65427974
I like the M4 because it's a bad ass shotgun but the 1301 feels great on the hands and it is light as fuck.
The handguns on my list are the Python, CZ-75, Glock 19 Gen 6, and an M9A4
>>
>>65427979
M4 or 1301 are both so cool. Out of those handguns, the Python seems the most fun and then either the CZ or Beretta.

my 1911 that ive had for like a month now is having feed issues like once per box of 50. Three of the ones I've had so far were when I racked the slide to chamber the first round, and I had one actual failure to feed during regular fire cycling.

How should I approach getting this fixed? Better extractor upgrade or should I throw an 18.5lb recoil spring in first before I spend any big money on anything else.

NTA, a new recoil spring that is the proper 16lb spec would probably help, a lot of 1911's are undersprung. Even the SA35 is undersprung, mine was getting jams like that almost every mag till I put in a proper spring. What is the manufacturer of yours? Also how tight is your bushing, if you rack the slide and intentionally ride it forward on an empty chamber does it get hung up just before it closes?

Buying both of those is indicative of being deeply retarded
Neither are that good, but both are ostentatious and expensive so it reads like the kind of attention whore that shows up to their first group road ride dripped out in rapha on an $8000 trek tri bike
The kind of vapid consumerism that leads one to finance a $110,000 pink hellcat because they decided their online persona will be “car girl” but takes it to the dealership for oil changes
>>

Have you cleaned and lubed it? Definitely needs to be done in the first 200 rounds on most new 1911s.

Official Dan Wesson breakin is like every 50 for the first 200 or something wild like that.

If you're not gonna shoot it with weak ass ammo you could bump the spring up a weight, but the extractor might be too tight.

Get the 1301 unless your specific use case is abusing the fuck out of the M4 and feeding it hundreds of rounds of the most dogshit dirty magnum crap you can find without cleaning it
The 1301 is more comfortable, lighter, and better at matches with much better controls if it has the pro lifter
The m4 would survive being dropped into a black hole but is not a fun shotgun to shoot matches with, without spending time and money to upgrade it
>>
>>65427995
>when I racked the slide to chamber the first round,

Try loading it by using the slide release like God and J.M.B. intended. Lock slide to rear, insert loaded magazine, release slide, shoot.
also this

>Have you cleaned and lubed it?
Clean it, and get it lubed up good and proper. I like a thin grease type lube that mostly says where you put it.

Out of spec (tight) chamber
Extractor interference

Are the mags 7, 8, or 10?
If its 7 somethings broken in the gun. If its 8 its not uncommon try other mags or try only loading 7.
If its 10 some 1911s just hate them and its common that they dont fucking work at full capacity in some guns even if they work fine in another 1911.

Guys, I am a single click away from either buying a HK USP 45 or a Glock 21 Gen 4. Guns.com has both of them in stock brand new still.

What do? I've been basically catatonic staring at my screen for like 9 hours trying to decide.

Asking Burt or any anon with can knowledge please : I want a B&T suppressor for picrel, do I need the "classic" Impuls IIA special USP (unobtainium, preorder only), or is the far more modern in stock Impuls OLS (not USP specialized) better/good enough ? I'm a euro, so my options are either said B&Ts or ATEC PMM6 (USP model unobtainium, also preorder only).
>>
I'm looking at finally buying my first gun (don't fucking shoot me I'm new) purely for self defense and ease of carry. So far I'm looking at
>S&W M&P Bodyguard 2.0 .380
>S&W M&P22 Compact 3.6 .22 LR
>Walther PPS M2 LE Edition 9mm
or if I'm feeling cocky, the Taurus Judge...
Obviously 380 is gonna be small and compact, I'm not crazy about it or 9mm but I'm not a big guy either I don't really need some big fuck you gun.

Any suggestions?
>>
>tfw kinda want a G43X
>tfw also no way to make it compliant with Finnish laws
People get magwells installed on G19s or buy Gen 6s to get around the minimum size requirement but I guess there's no magwell that could get the 43X to 131mm height or more
>>
>>65428424
>I'm looking at finally buying my first gun
>I'm not a big guy
380 Auto is at the bare minimum for SD IMO. For me 9mm or 38 spl (w/ 158gr LSWC) are the minimums. Forget about 22LR, and Taurus. That bodyguard wont be a fun gun to shoot, practice or learn on.
>M&P vs Walther
Go handle, and shoot if you can, as many different models to see how they feel.
>I don't really need some big fuck you gun.
Just wait until you come face to face with the Yellow King from True Detective, then you change your mind.
>>
>>65428447
Alright so I'm peaking at .38 spl models what do you think about
>Taurus 856 Defender .38
>Ruger LCRx .38 Special
>Smith & Wesson Model 638 Airweight .38 Special

Or something along those lines in general? Obviously I'm looking for something around ~400-500 USD. Probably going to a Buds to buy.
>>
>>65428437
>kinda want a G43X
>People get magwells installed on G19s or buy Gen 6s
According to Glock the 43x and 19 gen6 are the same height with the magazine installed, 128mm. There are plenty of magwells for the 43x. Taller sights might get you another 1 mm.
>>
>>65428456
I'm not sure how to deal with the sights since they have to be "permanently installed" like you have to glue the magwell on too

A J-frame sized .38 is a decent 'get off me.' gun. Just load it with 158 grain SWC, that's the jam.
Skip Taurus. Ruger LCR, or LCRx are fine. S&W QC is very hit and miss these days so you want to handle and evaluate them before you buy.

Don’t. Because I want another.

You’re either going to have to stumble across a pawn shop who doesn’t know what they have or it’s a beat up race gun. The .40 S&W ones are the most undesirable which is what I got. With .40 being like 26 cpr right now it’s not bad at all and .40 in a 5 inch 2011 feels just right as it was the caliber of the late 90s when 2011s came out.

I might just build my own since they still sell parts

>>65428416
That I don't know, sorry. You could try contacting HK to ask, specifically, which silencers are on their "approved" list, but from what I read they pretty much refuse to say. If they do that to you when you ask I think you'd be fine with any Impuls you can get your hands on, at least you can say you tried to conform to the unwritten, unsourcable, uncompliable warranty terms

>>65428424
Of those, the BG2.0 is the most logical. Throw the .22 out for defense, that's silly. And the PPS is not pleasant to shoot where the BG2 is fun. You don't want an unpleasant gun as your first, it keeps you from wanting to progress your skills. Some people get slide bit by BG2.0s though so do like anon said and check one out at a store. Grip it as high as you can and rack the slide. It's not a sure indicator of whether or not it will cut your hand when firing but it's better than ordering blind

That said is it impossible to get 2? One for carry, and a large heavy 9mm for skill building and HD?

The definition of "compact" has changed a lot in the last 20 years, too. 20 years ago anything G19 sized or smaller was definitely a compact.
Now people consider that to be the starting point for full-size handguns. I don't necessarily think it's the wrong approach, but IMO it's been enabled by improvements in ammo and magazine design.

im not cleaning them. i just add a few more drops of oil if the action starts feeling chunky, maybe scrape the debris out of the barrel with a wire piece or a brush if it's noticeable. I'm worried about how this style of maintenance will work with that AR though.
>>
>>65430045
I understand your "I want one gun and to be good with it" but either of your choices doesn't lend well to gaining real proficiency. You actually barely ever see someone with actual proficiency at a shooting range, the vast majority of people suck at shooting

>shield plus
9mm in a small package, you're probably going to suck at shooting it and it will hurt your hand for extended courses of fire. The microcompact 9mm is a pocket rocket, not a range toy.
>bodyguard 2.0
.380 is more expensive than 9mm, significantly so, that does not lend well to shooting it often. You could get around this by ordering ammo in bulk online which honestly is what you have to do either way.

the small short sight radiuses unless you get a red dot, the small grip that might make it hard to get a real grip on it, both of those guns are good options but not towards actually getting good at shooting

If you're going with one and only one of those two get the shield plus and potentially get the shield plus X so that you have a larger grip to contend with. As Burt and the other anon said, neither of these are really ideal options of being your gun. They're small and you will not be learning good basic fundamentals with these options. You would probably be better suited to get a more traditional compact frame 9mm instead of a subcompact or microcompact

>>65429981
Genuinely don't think you will be disappointed with any of those options. I just went through a similar process but my personal preferences were between the cc9, 43x and 365X since I already owned a shield carry comp. I ultimately went with the 365x because it just felt better in the hand, the trigger was crisp and 17round mags. I know that I will inevitably get the cc9 as well but the 43x has fallen out of interest for me, probably because I like my 19 so much. Pic related, new sigger

I like how my cc9 shoots for a micro 9 but started having a lot of fte's around 1500 rounds. Luckily the extractor and extractor channel just needed cleaning and now it's working good as new but I also lost a bit of confidence in the gun when my p2000sk has double the round count and hasn't had a single malfunction yet. If you get the cc9 go ahead and pop the extractor out at around 1k rounds to make sure it's not dirty because there were a couple guys on leddit and one on hkpro who had a similar issue at a similar round count so it could've either been a batch with an out of spec extractor or it's just a design flaw.

A Glock 19 will do 99% of the things you need it to while also being small enough to carry everywhere but on a nude beach, mags are cheap, it runs forever, and if it’s your first gun, any opinions you have on the tangible qualities of guns are purely speculation based on shit you’ve heard from retarded influencers

Subcompacts are retarded for most people that don’t need to deep conceal a gun illegally or in drawstring booty shorts
They’re very unpleasant and don’t shoot well

I already have the "good" one made by the inventor, I don't need a duplicate tool. I just wanted to try one of the chink copies because I'm always shilling them based on my experience with the real deal (which is no longer available) so I thought I should have experience with the fakes too. $40 is almost what I paid for an American made one

Thats why you dry fire dumbass, took me a few years of that plus actual shooting to get decent at shooting DA with a 638, which I argue is significantly harder to shoot than a 43x, Shield, P365 or any other subcompact
>>
>>65430321
we’re talking about a guy buying a subcompact striker gun as their first gun and why that’s a bad idea since he mentions it would also be an HD gun.
Yes obviously the DA on a revolver is difficult for a new shooter to get the hang of, which is why no one recommended a fucking 638
I’m sure with enough practice and dry fire, you could get good with a S&W 500 as your first gun but I’m not gonna fucking tell someone to do that

Not so much the grip angle as it is the grip radius being higher than the trigger which forces your wrist and index finger into an unnatural vector. Ever held a G17.3? The finger grooves makes it even worse .

I could be wrong, but it feels like you're just paying for a P-01 with better ergonomics. The angle of the slide is beautiful, I'll give you that. But it's too much to spend on a pistol (a carry one at that)

I'd get a Shadow 2 as a range queen

I'm buying it so I can have something, anything, that goes bang and is small because my job takes me through some very rough areas, and the more inconspicuous it is the better. Something to sit in a vaultek case that I can throw on real quick at stops that I don't feel comfortable at because I'm not a very big person. I'm like 140lbs soaking wet, and the bigger it is the harder it'll be for me. I fail to see how a micro compact would be a bad choice. A gun is better than no gun, and a gun I'm personally comfortable with carrying is better than one I'm worrying about whether it's visible or not.

This is carry comfort. There is also having a gun that you are comfortable, confident, and capable with firing. Carry comfort usually comes at the expense of shoot-ability, and you need to consider balancing the two. Frequently carry comfort and conceal-ability have to do with the belt and holster that you use and not just using a tiny gun. A Glock 19 sized gun is an ideal for most.

Like the tripfag already said, it doesn't work like that. You're not going to build foundational gun handling skills by starting "hard mode". NGL i was stubborn about avoiding the most popular starter guns and dead set on getting the most compact option when i first started carrying around 2010. I thought " these people don't know shit, I'll get the smallest thing and just learn to shoot it well!" I got a Kahr pm9 and spent a couple of years shooting watermelon sized groupings and wondering why I never got any better. Finally caved and bought a fullsize gun, a Ruger SR9, and took a couple of classes which fixed my shitty shooting. Eventually bought a Glock 19 and wondered why I had always been so contrarian about it. These days I still shoot like ass, but at least I can get golfball sized groups at 10-15 yards now. I genuinely get the desire to be efficient with your purchase, especially if you're on a budget for your first gun, but there's a reason that people suggest something like a Glock 19 - it is reliable, concealable and it has been a standard for decades. There are plenty of other options in the compact range if you don't want something as generic as a glock, but take some serious consideration before you sink your money into a subcompact or microcompact as your first and only gun. Also, I'm just some dude on an anonymous anime waifu enthusiast board, look up some videos on guntube about best first time guns or something and do some research. A gun store clerk is going to tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale.

LEM is equivalent to a normal single action on a P30/P2k. Not getting it doesn't escape those aspects you dislike, because the regular V3 has the same single action break, reset and takeup

The only case where this wouldn't apply, might possibly be a trigger reset kit that doesn't work the same on LEM as it does on V3, idk I didn't put a kit in my LEMs

Drop out of college because academia doesn't teach you anything viable in compsci, work two jobs for 5 years building a portfolio, land a critical engineering role in corporate world long enough to know all the ins and outs of certain software or hardware systems, become a department director in a company that bleeds money because the CEO is senile and out of touch, realize you know more than the tier 5 support techs for the company that developed the systems you're deploying for corpo world, acknowledge the fact that corpo execs are fucking oblivious to how detailed systems work, learn to enjoy the fragrance of your own farts and peace out on the corpos during the biggest uplift project they've ever attempted, dump your life savings into an LLC, then be able to convince other people in your niche industry that you actually do know more about how to use these systems than the people selling them. Only took me two decades of corporate slavery to achieve being my own boss and working 70+ hours a week and sleeping in hotel rooms 200 nights a year. See, getting a fake job is easy!
