It's harder just like anything else but transitioning for myself feels way better than just aging into a body that I'd continue to hate even more. I'd say to do it for yourself. Passing is kinda relative. I get clocked by black people more often than whites but how good your voice training in will matter more than looks. If you decide to take HRT, manmode until you feel comfortable instead of trying to rush things. Atlanta is a super good place relatively for us still; when I go down there I don't get clocked nearly as often and when I do, no one really cares.
