A bunch of trans kids have climbed on top of the NHS England building in London and are refusing to leave. They've been occupying the building over the weekend to demand equal access to healthcare and care with dignity and dropped a banner which says "We are not pawns for your politics". The "why are we here" section of the trans kids disserved better website says :>In the UK, we as trans young people don't have the right to access gender affirming care. We used to spend years on waiting lists for medical support, but now the doors are fully closed to new patients. The medical support we need is extremely time-sensitive, and many of us die waiting.>We're young people just like any others, we want to be treated with dignity, age alongside our peers, and move through the world as we are, not as others tell us we should be.>And yet, our supportive parents have been threatened with child safeguarding referrals, our pharmacies have been forced to hold back our medications, and our schools have been made battlegrounds with us at the same time as weapon, aggressor, and victim. We refuse to live like this. We deserve better.

Who knows, maybe it will motivate some of the workers to actually look into the system and try to make things better, having looked into the eyes of the people it's harming.

There's too many people and not enough resources. healthcare is specifically bad for trans people because they are intentionally being cut off from healthcare. There is no lack of resources or any material reason that trans healthcare in the uk is so bad, it's just the government being spiteful
