Talked to my mom about trans stuff recently, and she was like "It's weird because I never really saw any signs of you feeling uncomfortable about your gender when you were little..." then she thought for a while and went "Well, I guess there was the fact that you hated when you started growing facial hair, hated body hair, hated getting taller, hated looking like a boy, and once started crying because you thought a haircut you got wasn't feminine enough." I love my mom, but I sometimes wonder if people try not to notice to hope the problem goes away on its own.
