*Why is sentience privileged as an experience? Is not unity equal to death – for the individual? It is different to be sure – unity and death. A psyche, faced with impossible odds for attaining true connection, must be allowed to entertain the choice of death – of non-existence. For *death* can be *sleep* – *death* can be *rest*. Is it not selfish to demand of a suffering soul that it does not *rest*? Unable to wrestle with this thought, many invent theories and ideologies of justification. You must be alive to spite your adversaries – for those who value your presence – to fulfill your duties. Few defend the position that one ought to stay with another who one does not enjoy staying with. So why is it then so wrong to wish for an infinite *rest*? Why do others have a say, whether one chooses to lie down or not?**Bliss and *death* might be one and the same. Faced with the unlikelihood of bliss – one ought only to be forgiven for choosing death – rest.*
