I play a certain online game at a pretty high level and when I put the effort in every now and then I play at the highest level

Was thinking about streaming since I have a lot of free time

I'm a Troon so is it better to show my face or use a vtuber avatar? I don't pass consistently but do get gendered female by strangers (conservative/rural area) like half the time or more in my manmode

My voice passes very consistently after lots of training so I wouldn't put on any sort of squeeky voice that some vtubers like to do

Also considered vtubing with a male avatar and my original voice

The community for this game does have a lot of trans people many who stream but very few vtuber streamers so I thought it would be better to vtuber and hide that I'm trans since it may help with standing out

Which direction should I go with the goal of being successful in streaming

If your voice passes, I don't see an issue with using a female vtuber avatar. You may be overthinking this a bit. Good luck getting set up, definitely don't use a male avatar it will make you feel worse in the long run. Better to just dive into doing what you actually want.
