No, he fully and completely managed that. In 1932 basically entire Germany knew that Rohm is gay, people were openly discussing it, like in the entire country. It was the subject of a massive media debate too. He even admitted to jerking off with dudes. What killed him was his political project of replacing the Heer with the SA because he was generally much more left wing than Hitler himself at the time, Rohm really didn't like Hitler messing around with corporations and rich people, he was a true socialist. And thats why they removed him.

But if he just kept fucking dudes on the down low he would probably not only stay alive but Nazi Germany would on the whole remain much more tolerant towards homosexuality as butthurt incel Himmler only started repressing it after the Rohm affair.

People like to pretend right wingers inherently hate LGBT but it isn't true. First of all, LGBT isn't "real". It is a grouping which was made and persists by the left wing. Historically and in the present, there are right wingers who tolerate homosexuality and hate transition AND right wingers who tolerate transition (as a cure for homosexuality) and hate homosexuals (look at middle east). There are also left wingers who support trans people but dont support homosexuals (branding homosexuality as transphobic) AND left wingers who support homosexuals and find trans people inherently too sexist to support (look: TERFs). The dumbing down of politics is disturbing.
