I don't deny the grooming aspect. I'm just trying to understand the sociological evolution of how all this works. I've been online since 1996 (I think) and never got into shit like this as a kid. Is it bad parenting? The rise of social media? Loneliness? Lack of father figures? I was a latchkey kid with a mostly absent father who died young but I couldn't imagine doing anything like this. The most danger I was ever in was AOL chat rooms back in like 2003.
