1,001 days ago, to be exact, but I didn’t. I’m no longer suicidal. Yesterday marked 1000 days alive since the day I planned my death when I was 5000 days old. Well, I planned it earlier but that date marks the original “official” commitment to day 8000. I feel lost. I was chronically suicidal. Not a single day passed between days 5000 and 8000 that I didn’t think about how I would end my life. Some periods I would attempt every 100 days, other, I would stick to my marked day. Regardless, I didn’t die. Until day 8888, I was completely and utterly crushed by the weight of my need for death. While I had stopped being suicidal daily after starting HRT 2 months before my death date, I still felt the fear of death 3 too many times until that point. Day 8888 marked the end of all of that. I stopped being suicidal, and my intense paranoia vanished. It was like something clicked in my head. A lucky break, or something else, I don’t know. But it also marked the day over half of the recurring thoughts in my head just suddenly stopped. When you have half of the habitual thought patterns you frequent and come to know vanish, what would you have left? I feel lost and empty, but I don’t feel bad. There is some comfort in reaching out a hand and seeing it vanish into void. Unable to see my fingertips, I’ll walk forward.
I wish I could write messages and put them in a bottle without littering.I want the catharsis of sharing my feelings without the judgement and pushback of another body’s biases. I don’t want help. I want to yell into space. I want to scream while I’m deaf. I want to whisper I love you, be unheard, the response is “what?” and I’ll mutter “never-mind”.

Maybe I’m just so used to silence in response, that I yearn for it again.Do I even want people to know who I am? Do I want friends? Does some odd part of me yearn to return to the mind-melting, bleak social isolation I worked so hard to escape from? How much of my desire for a partner is informed by societal expectations? If I truly sat and thought about it, would I really wish to be a member of society? I think the answer is yes, in moderation. I crave the burning feeling of the one I love’s skin against mine. I think I desire being understood fully more than anything else in the world. Not only do I want someone to love me for who I am, but I need them to demonstrate they fully understand by the content of their words and actions.
I’m not alone anymore I guessboth in the present moment literal, and in the context of life circumstance ought to act accordingly from here on out
