On voice surgeries in general, please don't turn to them until you've exhausted your options with voice training as much as you can. They are extremely unreliable, improved in recent years as they have been, and have a high chance of giving you all the roughness and vocal issues associated with them with none of the advertised feminization benefits. They do not produce a consistent result, and are as dependent on anatomy as voice training can be while being far riskier and more costly. The best way to look at them is as a safety net for an existing trained voice, to make maintaining it easier and more consistent if you have issues with that.
