This brown creature with the displeased expression and grotesque eyes lives in the Pacific waters off the coast of North America. When there is a rivalry between individuals, the males approach each other to spread their jaws in a spectacular colorful umbrella. If one of the individuals does not back down, a fight for power ensues between them.The fight is equally intriguing, as the sarcastic fringeheads push each other to decide which one is bigger, stronger, and more fearsome. Once these details are decided, the loser walks away from the battlefield. Although it can indeed attack divers, Neoclinus blanchardi are not as terrifying as they would like, because these perch-like creatures grow to only 30 centimeters.
