Is there anyone here who personally medically detransitioned back into being a gay man after taking estrogen and thinking they were a woman for a while? I’m not talking about social detransition, I mean long term total estrogen cessation.
>>38046958No because why would you do that
>>38046958Im considering I might have to do it for sperm banking purposes since I didn't do it before I started hrt
Bump
>>38047022Because being trans wasn’t right for your body.
>>38047068What does that mean
>>38047085They thought they wanted to be a woman, but they didn’t like transitioning or taking estrogen.
I did this but it didn't work very well. I got extremely depressed, and had multiple years dry spells. When I tried to date men as a man is felt holllow, wretched, and like i was forcing it. So I retreated into videoganes and ended up psychotic. Eventually I retransitioned. I learned that "repressing your whole life" isn't as easy as you think it will be at age 23.
>>38047114I mean someone who is happy now as a gay man and no longer wants to be a female.
>>38047093>>38047161usually when you take estrogen you know what you're getting intopeople detransition for social reasons, not medical ones
im doing it... i dont know how to begin harmonising my male body and mind, though. i still act quite effeminate and feel uncomfortable around my genitalia. also the sebum production feels gross, and i cant use my fruity roll-on deodorant anymore..
>>38047163um, no. you dont speak for us
>>38047215"us"
>>38047222yes, i mean detransitioned gay men. you dont speak for us. you think that the urge to detransition couldnt possibly come from inside, after realising that transitioning wasn't the correct decision to make. you think that there's no other route to treating gender dysphoria
>>38047229>you think that there's no other route to treating gender dysphoriano one has ever built an alternate route that works in a replicable way. the occasional successful repper comes by and says "just do X" and then people do X for five years and just end up getting on HRT later after suffering more testosterone damage.if you found a way that actually works for you consider two possibilities:1. there's some unconscious component to what you're doing that you can't share because you don't actually know about it2. you didn't actually have gender dysphoria
>>38047252>no one has ever built an alternate route that works in a replicable way.yes because of political activism interfering with research. treating gender dysphoria is not dissimilar to trauma-centred psychotherapy. no one is a 'repper'. >1. there's some unconscious component to what you're doing that you can't share because you don't actually know about itthat is the case for all dysphorics. there are unconscious symbolic connections to the physical features and social responsibilities that produce distress>2. you didn't actually have gender dysphoriai fit every single diagnostic characteristic for the condition, even still. this is the same 'no true scotsman' fallacy that you people use to shut down dissent
>>38047263please go into more detail about:there are unconscious symbolic connections to the physical features and social responsibilities that produce distress
