why do so many pooners refuse to remove their ovaries when they get a hysterectomy because they're afraid they'll lose access to testosterone and they'd prefer to have the estrogen come back and feminise them than have no sex hormones? every mtf would rather develop debilitating osteoporosis than have to produce testosterone again and remasculinise.
Gayden hereI went to the gynecologist to talk about a hysterectomy earlier last year. I don't remember quite what they said, other than it wasn't recommended you remove your ovaries while being a younger person. Something related to a higher risk of health issues later on.
yeah but the effects of estrogen are more manageable for ftms than test for mtfs. as an ftm the worst part of estrogen would be getting your period again, reduced strength, and some fat redistribution. but you'd still irreversibly look male due to facial/body hair and your voice dropping, that can't reverse. whereas with trans women they might face skeletal masculinization or facial hair regrowth, etc, that would threaten their ability to passcaptcha: p00m
>>38519339they were wrong (and probably transphobic). there aren't any health consequences if you're on testosterone.
>>38519299When I get hysto I'm getting a full vaginectomy so I can't relate.
>>38519299>amabs are reckless and afabs are prudentYeah
>>38519416There's nothing prudent about choosing to remain female.
>>38519409Could just be uninformed, this is a pretty nice area in terms of trans acceptance. Although I've since changed my mind about the whole thing. The hysterectomy doesn't remove anything I can see so I stopped caring.
>>38519341sounds about right
>>38519409delusional or coping? did you actually even try looking? People with lots of muscles die faster, people i mean men here, pooners probably would apply here too if you build any significant musclemass, plus men overall live shorter, you sure T is so free to take?
>>38519416>afabs are prudentlollmao even
>>38520104Are you autistic that anon clearly meant you're not going to suffer any additional health risks that wouldn't be typical relative to someone that hasn't had a hysterectomy
>>38520104being a nornal guy isn't a negative health consequence, unless you're going to claim cis man should be castrated and forced on estrogen to prolong their lifespans too.
>>38520104I wrote the OG post and I'm ftm. I didn't know cis men could get their ovaries removed lol
>>38520118you will, all men experience that, well the ones who take or their body produces T and runs on androgen dominated endocrine system, doesnt matter if youre trans or not>>38520120it leads to shorter life expectancy, T can be a poison. nothing wrong with being men ofc, its just how it turned out in nature>>38520149ok dude xd
>>38519299>every mtf would rather develop debilitating osteoporosis than have to produce testosterone again and remasculiniselmaooo that must be why reddithons ask for topical testosterone and stuff
>>38521249How old are you
>>38519339The health issue is not getting pregnant and having babies
>>38521273He explained to me something different, but I don't remember. We actually talked about NOT wanting to have babies, which I think required removal of the fallopian tubes.
