Shaving is not enoughI remember pre-transitioning seeing my face in a mirror by accident and I saw that my face was incredibly dark despite shaving in the morning and it being only 2:30 PM, I assumed it wasn't obvious but I never looked at my reflection besides when shaving and at night time and so I never knewIt was at that point that I realised no matter how much I shaved, my shadow would never go awayAnyway laser takes time and it's dependent on your hair follicles, skin colour and the ability of the techniciansAlso I was too anxious to get it done for the first 6-7 months after starting HRT

But I also have a bunch of coarse white hairs, and I did over 60 hours of electro and it barely made a dent, it's really hard to catch the hair in the right growth phase and zap it with enough current so that the follicle dies, but doesn't leave rather nasty scars.I gave up because it's too expensive, I simply couldn't afford doing it anymore. It's also very mentally taxing, like, you look awful for a week after electro, then you have to grow your hair out until it's at least a few mm long, since my hair grows super slowly now it takes at least 2 weeks to get enough hair length, seeing and feeling my facial hair was killing me. So I still shave every morning, I don't have a beard shadow because it's mostly glassy coarse hair, but it's annoying.

Use ibuprofen too if needed. Should be good for just about an hour once you peel the plastic off.

I did 2 hours a week for nearly a year. stopping electro to do laser was such a massive positive decision as it meant I could help my dysphoria by not growing out my facial hair to be treated, and have gotten much better overall reduction than i did on electro. social transition was just not possible until i started going to laser. ill probably go back to electro though at some point once everything that laser can clear is gone.

I swear not enough trannies know about epilating. Works pretty well and you just tweeze the couple of hairs it can't quite get. Be sure to keep the cap for your tweezers since tighter tweezers can pick up hairs better.This helps me quite a bit between removal sessions.
