>>38519993his music was shit
>>38520003finally somebody said it.
>>38520003>>38520042It's like a 711 pizza. You should be drunk, high, and ready to party to enjoy it proper.
>>38520042he intentionally jumped to try to kill himself, it was an intentional suicideand yeah, his music was garbage he was only promoted for being trans and somewhat conventionally attractive
>>38520050>conventionally attractivehe looked like a creepy crossdresser stereotype though
>>38520060regardless, he was a 6.5/10 and willing to call himself trans and put out music so they promoted him because they want to promote trans ideology
>>38520065Idk she kinda cute to be honest
>>38519993this crap is all over the place. one minute some eunuch is saying iit's so gay to cry. the next minute its "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard". just a bunch of random electronic sounds . would not recommend to anyone ever
>>38519993The title is a mondegreen of "I Love Every Person's Insides". It seems to be a concept album, but whether it's about trans identity, gnostic spiritual awakening, or postmodern escapist malarkey is anyone's guess since there's certainly some kind of nascent thematics in her work (see the lyrics to Immaterial or Pretend World) but she didn't leave much for us to go on. It's incredibly well-produced and even if you can figure out the compositional tricks behind her deconstructed arrangements (slowing the tracks down makes it easy to see how those complex percussive fills were constructed) she had a talent for constructing complex sound design on the fly born out of decades of constant training already, so even if you don't rate her as a songwriting genius or think some of it's same-y (OILS does use a lot of post-processing compared to her early stuff she composed entirely on the Monomachine e.g. PRODUCT, and her later releases got more compressed so i understand people feeling she was dropping off already) she's at least equal with various virtuoso musicians e.g. the jazz greats who were/are known for their performance ability and improv more than for writing originals. I don't think she was the next David Bowie but I think she could have been the next Brian Eno. I doubt "SOPHIE" as a project would have continued for more than another couple of albums though, the neofuturist dreampunk thing would have gotten played out eventually & she was inevitably going to get cancelled for some toff shit by now like the fact she'd been working with supporters of Zionism openly. The shine was gonna wear off eventually. More than anything I wish she'd written down her ideas on synthesis theory and any thoughts about her worldview, because whatever you think of the music there was something fascinating in her beliefs, going by her interviews. Also the amount of seethe ITT is pathetic. Make something better and more novel in this day and age and show it to the class faggots
reminder that sophie transitioned after grimes called him out for using a feminine name for branding purposes
>>38520050>conventionally attractive
>>38522634he was attractive before trooning
>>38519993Product is one of the best electronic albums of the 2010s and her style influenced countless including Vince Staples and Flume and hit artist Charli XCX
>>38522654product was pretty boring lmaoif you think it was one of the best electronic albums of the 2010s you clearly dont listen to much eectronic music
rip sophie but also im so glad that hyperslop is dying off i hope that we return to grimey lo-fi aesthetics in electronic music instead of this hyperpolished shit that literally just sounds like mainstream ai electronic music sometimes
>>38522673>grimey lofi>non-aiBait, must be bait
>>38520060>>38520065This is just cope. She was a racehorse specimen of a human being. Looked like a twinkier Jude Law early on, she was literally one of the most beautiful people on the planet (in the public eye) for a short while, just as he was.
>>38522692no im not baiting the bulk of electronic music being made now is overpolished slop and its fucking boring as shit
>>38522755>she was literally one of the most beautiful people on the planet (in the public eye)you're straight up delusional
I wish Heaven Suspended would get released in lossless
>>38522615She was always very obviously femfaggy before coming out, grimes just prompted her to address it publicly
>>38519993I love every persons insides :D
>>38522615>using a feminine name for branding purposesThe absolute state of feminist grievances
