I don't know about gay men, but I know as a transwoman I developed psuedo-crushes on women as a form of repression.
In retrospect I can see I was choosing either the least offensive woman to me, or women I would like to emulate.

So in my case I was obsessed with girls around the time I turned 13 (could have been fake idk) and I was obsessed with boobs and wanting a gf and later a family when I was older. Around late 2020 I for some reason have been obsessing about what I am. Is it really possible to do all that and be unknowingly gay?

Gender dysphoria is a constant unrelenting pain. You don't realize how much pain you're in until it's gone.
You're probably a chronic masturbator, the masturbation itself probably doesn't feel that good for you, but the relief you feel afterwards makes it worthwhile.

The reason for that is right after ejaculation there's a big drop in testosterone and that's giving you relief from the GD. That feeling right after you masturbate, of just being stress free and content, that's what I feel all the time now because I actually dealt with what was bothering me.

secondly, that's not what anon said. Anon said he was imagining himself as a woman while masturbating. That's common. As I explained people with GD find safe ways to relieve themselves of the dysphoria and that's one of the ways we do it pre-transition.

Another thing we do pre-transition is larp as women online. Chatrooms and stuff. Because its a safe way to express our gender that doesn't risk the quite severe social sanctioning from gender non-comformity. You know, the type that you constantly post because you're an obnoxious inbred demon who spreads misery, not because of any past trauma or anything, but just because that's your nature.
