If I have wide shoulders, is it over? I'm 24 and only now considering hrt
>>
>>38583892
Depends how wide and also how wide they are relative to your hips
>>
>>38583892
bideltoid?
>>
>>38583892
Just do it.
If you've cracked at 24 there's not a single chance you'll make it to 40 as a man. None at all.

It's only going to get worse.
>>
>>38583929
It's like 20in. I hate it
>>38583934
Probably. I've been thinking about it more and more lately.
>>
>>38583892
yes, shoulders are by far the worst trait to have. Extremely noticeable and basically unfixable
>>
>>38583892
who cares? if u think u can rep without making ur life functionally hell do it? but if you'll be happier being a semi hon then just go for it girl
>>
>>38584028
>20in
>pre-hrt
you'll be insecure about them for the rest of your life and you will need to dress for them but this is not a blocker to passing while dressed. depending on muscle mass you may slim down here and there's surgery if you really want it
>>
>>38584028
what’s ur biacromial that’s what actually matters, bideltoid is too much soft tissue
>>
>>38584425
A little over 17in
>>
>>38585146
if tall its not over as long as you have some hips
>>
>>38585146
are you sure thats your biacromial? also what height?
>>
>>38584028
>>38585146
gonna keep it real, those numbers are pretty bad anon. like i consider my shoulders one of my worst traits and my *bideltoid* is about the same as your biacromial (if you've measured it correctly because desu 17 inches biacromial is chad tier). even if you're over 6ft your shoulders are pretty solidly male range. like the other anons say it could work if you have decent hips (waist definition is important too) and you get good at dressing to draw attention away from your shoulders, but it's something you're gonna be self-conscious about forever. don't let it stop you from transitioning though, i started a few months before turning 24 and i'm very glad i did it then instead of waiting another five years. just be realistic about the fact this may be an issue going forward.

>>38585368
You're supposed to measure it from the pointy parts of your shoulders, right? I'm 5'10

like this, basically where your colar bones meet the joint for biacromial.

for bideltoid, it really depends how much of it is muscle and fat. I lost a good 2" nearly
>>
>>38585478
Sadly, I think it is actually 17. I'm worried about my young looks leaving and aging like a man (even more)
>>
>>38585627
whats your hip width/breadth? Normally the human body likes to stay at least in a proportional range, so it should be fine if ur hips are wide enough. measure at your widest point below the navel
>>
>>38585627
yeah you've wide shoulders for your height, i'm sorry. they will probably shrink somewhat on HRT but i think they'll always be wider than average. it could work if you have curves elsewhere and it's not too hard to hide shoulders by dressing for them but you'll likely always be dysphoric about them.
>I'm worried about my young looks leaving and aging like a man (even more)
testosterone likely isn't done with you yet so this is reasonable to be worried about. i'd still start HRT in your position, provided that none of the downsides (infertility, forfeiting the right to be a normal man socially because even if never socially transition manmoding is a bit of a meme, etc) are a downside for you.
>>
>>38585711
If I did it right I think it's about 14.5in. I just used measuring tape across, not around.
>>38585725
Why's manmoding a meme? I don't know anything about it.

my bideltoid is like 18in and i still feel like its way way way too big
doesnt help that my hips are nonexistent

manmoding is not a meme im 1 year on hrt and started at 20 and have no trouble being seen as a man 100% of the time in fact i have never even malefailed
if you go on mmg you'll see plenty of people with the same experience
>>
>>38585787
that's actually not bad, if you managed to lose a couple of inches off your bideltoid and get some fat distribution on your hips you could be reasonably well-proportioned.
>>38585803
>1 year on hrt
lol yeah that's fuck all. come back in 2-3 years. unless you literally looked like gigachad before you went on HRT it's eventually going to make you look faggy enough that you won't read as a normal moid anymore.

>hrt will work eventually bro trust me
unlikely
>>
>>38585898
oh i never said it'll make you pass lol just that it'll make you look like a soiboi faggot while manmoding eventually. you can't just spend years on estrogen and not have the estrogenisation be apparent to others.
>>
>>38586136
i got my passport photo taken the other day and yes it really is that obvious
two years in but i read much more androgynous than masc lately
>>
>>38586178
exactly. unless you have really masculine bone structure to begin with you should expect that HRT will eventually start making you look a bit sus in manmode. even the bald gigalateshit 6ft tall manmoders i've talked to malefail sometimes after 2-3 years. there's nothing wrong with manmoding but it is a bit of a meme in the sense that you're probably not going to read as a run of the mill moid forever.
>>
>>38584028
>20in
you'll have to compensate with big breasts

i think thats cope too just on a different level
its like when people tell babytrannies that they absolutely cant boymode when living with their parents because theyll find out or whatever
hrt only leads to drastic changes if you're underage, beyond that point you're bound to always fit within the pretty large range of what normal people categorize as male
>>
>>38586606
that's the thing though, that large range is not the same for everyone and there's a million things that contribute to how clocky you are most of which you have no control over (like idk lighting). just because you don't read as female 100% of the time does not mean people won't notice the small feminine changes like facial fat and stuff

it doesnt matter malefailing as people think of it is still a myth
sure if you start doing a bunch of things to feminize your appearance like skin care, getting fem haircuts, haircare, subtle makeup, etc people will look at you and go "tranny?" in their head before saying "hi man-I mean ma'am"
but if you don't do those things and just take hrt it'll never happen because the things hrt do to you after puberty dont push you out of just looking like a normal man
