Since I look straight and don't advertise my homosexuality, I always have the Before reference. Some people start avoiding me and put a polite ice wall between us, stop inviting me to events. Others seem intrigued and gently tease me about it. Still others (mostly men) treat me better than prior to the revelation, kind of like fujos do with gay males. And of course there are the people who want me gone. They are the reason why I go full on Don't Ask, Don't Tell these days. They would legitimately go after me, try to destroy my career, et cetera.In general, yes. The way people treat me ALWAYS changes depending on if they know I'm gay. Always.
