Same thing happened with social media, streaming, even ride-sharing. When paywalls hit, casual users will drop off, but the ones who actually get value from it (work, coding, writing, research) will stick around. That’s not 96% disappearing — it’s just the hype settling.AI isn’t going to be magic, and it’s not going to replace everyone. It’ll probably end up boring and normalized, like every other tool once the novelty wears off. The real problem isn’t AI existing — it’s people expecting it to think for them instead of using it to think better.
