The big cat is the last one my mother bought me before she died, it wasn’t immediately before it was a year or two but still. The Wind in the Willows is one of my favourite books and ratty is one of my favourite characters from it, and they’ve been so ever since I was little, I’ve had this one for a very long time. The next small catwas my absolute favourite as a child and I’ve had him for at least 20 years I think now. The big Raichu is one I got just before going to university and he was much bigger than I expected, I’ve always remembered the pleasant surprise of that. The skate (skatey) was the last addition to the group, and was actually being sold as a chew toy for dogs, not a buddy for a little queer boy xD >Sinners and The MastermindI literally cried during the barn scene in Sinners where they had the musicians from all the different eras pop up. Really beautiful movie.The Mastermind is the latest Kelly Reichardt movie. It’s about a self important dope conducting an extremely sloppy art heist and just generally being a deadbeat. I love Reichardt’s movies in general- quiet understated indie flicks with a lot nice mix of pathos and comedy.Blade is great. Wesley Snipes really pulls off the character and also just looks super hot. The digital effects are a mixed bag- some hold up extremely well, others look PS2 cutscene graphics. I’ve been going through a few “Nokia Wave” movies with some friends of mine recently, since a lot of younger people seem to have picked up the aesthetic and made it their own. It’s been interesting re-evaluating stuff I remember finding painfully dorky back when it was released and enjoying it this time around.
