i am the person that asked about the safety of my vial which is apparently not properly crimped and thus not completely sealed (top spins but stays on). Given how there were no leaks at all and that the fluid is clear and clean i decided to still give it a try as i found a couple of people talk about using a vial like this and still being fine.
While i injected i for some reason got scared and pulled out however a few drops still made it pretty shallow under my skin (not properly in fat i assume) so there is *some* small amount in there.
I know that little bumps are to be expected but i am a little surprised by how big, relative to the injected amount, it was. In the beginning it bulged minimally upwards but now is perfectly flat. It hurts sometimes hurts minimally when you push down on it but most of the time its just uncomfortable. So is this because there was something fishy like some pathogen making my body react so disproportionally or was it more like my jittery and stupid hands injected a benzyl alcohol containing liquid a little high up which as i understand irritates less the deeper you go?

I feel perfectly fine and i did this three days ago. There is nothing with my body going on besides that little and slightly hard red spot.

Am i retarded for doing this in the first place or am i retarded for overthinking things? I really dunno how to interpret this.

I read that those also happen with proper injections so i'm not sure. What i'm worried about is some pathogen making into the vial cause the topper spins but at made it all the way though delivery and didn't leak a drop so its on there pretty good still i'd assume. Its clear too but 90% of people just tell me to toss it. I would if getting a new one wouldn't be so difficult right now. Still waiting for symphony to respond for 13 days now..

how long until these happen? My little bump hurt on its own for like 20 minutes and then it stopped. Its really really soft now too and should disappear in like 6 hours at this pace.
Now this needle didn't quite make it deep into fat but i did get like 3-4 mm in there. I'm also like really thin so skin and fat are too. But what i mean with this is this deep enough to judge how it would behave in a proper subq injection?

yes thats exactly what deep means, as opposed to surface. thats why they tell you to go hospital for "puncture wounds" dog bites, step on nail, deep splinters, etc

likely within 24 hours probly under 8. i usually notice inflammation within about 4 hours definitely after sleeping and it clears within 24-72 hours always. im just talking about any kinda inflammation you get from scrapes and cuts where its raw and painful to the touch. ive never had to get antibiotics for any deep cuts its just if you did you could get sepsis leading to organ failure and death and its all sorta depend on the luck of what bacteria you get populating under your skin and the strength of your immune system. like rn i dragged my finger on a sharp metal sticking out yesterday and it went through a few layers so i have an inflamed finger tip it hurts to use and im gonna bandage it so it doesnt rub on stuff while im at work but the swelling and pain will be gone tomarrow 99%. its just when the infection gets runaway from you and gets worse instead of better that its a problem. its just injecting shit under your skin is a speedrun to *possibility* of deep infection that makes the risk profile so high people are very adverse to it for good reason

also the chances are pretty low cause theres preservatives in the vial but like having it totally unsealed means stuff from the air can get in there. but like were always injecting stale room air into the vial anyway to equalize pressure and its not like the lid is open and dirt or physical objects is falling into the solution which could introduce a different type of complication. it would just be irresponsible for someone to recommend you to not worry about even if they might do that themselves temporarily. if it were me i would probably save up and order a new one(or two) pretty quickly like within a month and keep using it until the new one showed up but would also seriously consider just skipping my dose for a month probably fuck around and get nervous do one week and not another if i had to since needles are scary

is my dose too low? recently swapped from oral to injections after 10 months. im in the US and was prescribed 4mg oral/day and 100mg spiro/day, e was at 179 pg/mL and t was at 48 ng/dL last i did my levels (in february). i was feeling fine with oral but ultimately wanted to try injections to see if things would be any better. finally got my injections and was prescribed 2mg of valerate/week while staying on the 100mg spiro, which kinda seems low after looking around at other doses. idk am i just paranoid or is my endo fucking me over?

2mg/7d is almost definitely a hondose lmao.
2mg/5d is fine ONLY IF youre on an aa (100mg spiro is probably enough). i really really dont recommend a 7 day schedule for ev and idk why american endos love prescribing it, but you would need 4mg/7d to be at ok levels.
in general dont be too concerned if your doses are lower than other ones on the board, we diyers usually go higher because were doing monotherapy, but this specific dose is horrible

Does anyone have experience bringing prog troches on a plane? I've got like 4 left and I dunno if I should leave them in the open gate labs packaging or take them out and try to obscure them somehow. I don't know, I'm really paranoid. If they were pills I'd be less worried but I feel like troches might draw some suspicion since I also associate them with ket mentally, but maybe thats just a me problem.

yeah i did assume most were higher for monotherapy and i've been considering trying it so i can get off spiro. initially i wanted to try enanthate but it isnt fda approved over here so it doesnt ever get prescribed, as soon as i saw i was prescribed valerate i asked about getting different esters and my endo just kinda said they wouldnt make much of a difference lol. will just play around with my dose in the next few months and see what feels best. ty for the reply.

This will greatly increase your chance of PIP and welts. I had this every single time I injected, huge painful welts, just because the oil was so close to the skin. Not infection, not an allergic reaction. I still get them somewhat, but they're manageable because I inject properly now. But for the first 3 days it's tender, i can feel the lump, and if i bump it it might be red. But before, it was red for the entire week.

The difference between irritation and infection is warmth and the progression of symptoms
If you have a bump, especially if you injected SUBQ and too shallow, and it is firm to the touch, tender, and maybe slightly red, it's irritation.
If you have a bump that is somewhat soft, worsens, seems to increase in size over several days or does not begin to subside after 4-7 days, it might be infected. If there is noticeable warmth, it is infected. If the redness begins to extend far beyond the hard spot, it is infected or an allergic reaction.

This happens to all of my injections. Since I do it in my stomach, when i kneel down, I press my hand on the spot slightly so the fat doesn't fold over or compress it, which is more painful.

In my opinion, if you are concerned about how sterile your vial is, I would just get a new one. Personally, I would never inject from a vial whos metal cap does not actually seal. Best case, the sterility will rapidly decline, worst case, it's already tainted.
However, from your description, I would not say you have an infection, it's just irritation from oil sitting too close to the surface.

For additional context for my never ending PIP and bumps, I inject .3ml of 200mg/ml (I used to have 300mg/ml :( ) of test, which is a greater concentration and fluid amount than what you girls take, so I don't think my experience is normal for you and you shouldn't have bumps this bad if you inject properly, but I'm unsure.

I recently got my dose changed to 3mg Oral E2 + 100mg Spironolactone + a GnRH agonist. That was great until I stopped Spiro because technically I shouldn't need it anymore (and because I thought it was giving me diarrhea) but now my body odor is worse and my skin is oilier (but still soft). i'll keep it as a last-ditch backup. I should have a new vial soon as i understand but it still doesn't seem 100% safe. Yes its not properly crimped but like you can see from your pictures there is still a lot of rubber sealing things even if the strong top-down seal from the metal is not there.

hrt will only redistribute new fat, not what you already have. if you arent gaining, your changes will be extremely slow, and you'll essentially waste the most important time of your transition. typically redistribution really starts to kick in between 3-6 months, so you're in the prime phase for it to start happening, but it wont happen when youre undereating like this.
