Hi, I need some help figuring out my dosages for the next month or two while I wait for my pending endo appointment. idk what info you'll need but here's about everything i think that'd be relevant. I've been taking oral estradiol 6mg/day for about a 10 months, then switched to 4mg/day for the last 2 to ration the remaining pills. I've also been taking 50mg Spiro each day. Keep your vial clean and you should be able to use it for a long time. Try not to core the vial, wipe it with rubbing alcohol before and after. The issue is bacteria getting inside after you plunge the needle in over and over. Vials have an expiration date for that reason but you can use them until theyre gone. I wouldn't personally use the same vial for over a year but I would if I had to. They're meant for hospitals doing injections typically which is why they come in different strengths. Some have more liquid oil per estradiol (more oil volume) and some have less, yours.

These Onetouch syringes I got from amazon are way too stiff and difficult to self-inject with, at least for me. Very hard to get to a specific line and annoying to be sure you've fully 100% injected. Today I had a visible droplet of waste after I had been extra sure I had pushed all the way down, just from putting extra muscle on the stopper after pulling it out to check (hard to do from a self-inject angle.) Luckily I do 5mg instead of 4 so an itty bitty bit of waste isn't going to have a noticeable effect on me, but I probably won't buy this brand next time if I can find one that's easier to push from a weird angle.

Are the expiration dates on vials actual expiration, or just best before? Mine say to only use for 1 year after opening, but my dosing makes them last a year and a half and it's not caused any issue to keep using them.
