I’ve been dragging this board for a while, and I have never seen Victor Pelevin mentioned here before. Among others works, I have just read Chapayev and Void, which appears to me so interesting and penetrating that I wonder what is /lit’s opinion about it. Not that I really care about your opinions, but I’m still curious.
>I wonder what is /lit’s opinion about it. Well, I personally think that...>Not that I really care about your opinionsUmm okay then, fuck you
Prilepin has a similar name and is probably more in current day /lit/'s taste.
>>23620114Well, sorry about that, just trying to adapt to the edgy energy of this board. I would be very happy to read your deepest opinions on this author.
I read the one about insects, it was okay but I was too young to appreciate it.He is mentioned in the movie Compartment 6, which I recommend.
>>23620176Yeah, friends had already told me about Pelevin before, but I saw this film and found it so well done that it made me read it . “The one about insects" is next on my reading list. I recommend you read The Yellow Arrow if you liked this Compartment 6.
I loved the Helmet of Horror. Homo Zapiens was fun too. I wasn't wild about the werewolf book though. He's a good writer. Hopefully he doesn't get mobilized and forced to assault a fortified position in a golf cart. He could probably say some interesting things about Russia right now but then he'd fall out a window like poor Pringles and Strelkov.
