Just started it and it seems interesting so far, but I think it's about to transition from the narrative of a woman finding a mysterious manuscript in Istanbul to a firsthand reading of said manuscript. I remember this book getting shilled all over this board like 5 or 6 years ago. There were a couple other books in the same vein - I think one was called Spinal Catastrophism? - but it seems like the board was as done with this stuff as quickly is at became enamored with it.
