If you listen to an audiobook does it count as reading? Can you even say that you've actually read a book if you just listened to it? Are audiobooks surging in popularity just another consequence of today's tiktok-brain culture where you have to be constantly stimulated and thus can't simply sit down and focus on reading a real book, and instead have to be able to do something else while "reading"?

Saying audiobooks are inferior or problematic in a post tiktok world is splitting hairs on a balding man, the scope is all wrong
