Are there any books on fog? I'm looking for books that focus on venturing into the unknown and characters feeling lost in alien environments.

Oh man are you going to enjoy The Night Wire. Highly recommend this reading of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SyT6Xga0EoAlso recommend going in cold to Stephen King's The Mist.

It's not really "on" fog, but a large part of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest follows The Chief through real or imagined fogs; none of that made it into the film. Pic related has a phenomenal murder scene in a sauna; bit more of a stretch but it's a very good book, and that scene captures the panic of obscured vision really nicely.
