I read to escape the sad reality that is my life and once I’m finished with one book, I get depressed again.

It is truly a sad feeling after finishing a good book

That sucks man. Reading is about the only thing that doesnt make me feel like that, it make the mind gooder, so life gets gooder. Read longer books? Read a ton of books at the same time?

I think it is important to do what one likes doing in life, and for me that's reading and writing, watching, thinking, learning. I do try to balance this with eating well and exercising (walking) --this may sound boring, but what are the alternatives? Various modes of hype?
Personally, I'm satisfied that life is the way it is: one can lie down, sit up, stand, even run. One breathes, communicates, opens and closes one's eyes. In the midst of this one can read, experience what the -in many cases- long departed wanted to communicate. This fascinates me; time erodes everything but language.
